There is something relaxing about watching cattle graze new grass.
Green grass and happy cattle, what more can a farmer want.
Great video.
Bella and Callie are probably the fittest dogs in California for all running they do
Bella and Callie is such a Team. I Love seeing them Run together, just Beautiful. Great Work as Always Tyler, Keep Pushing!
Putting the brushes in bag is a great idea 😅
Boy you have some pregnant mommas. I wonder if twins are coming, which I know you would prefer not to happen. Can’t wait to see what the genetics look like in these new calves.
I always marvel at how far and fast Callie can run! I doubt a border collie could out do her. We're used to our fat dogs that seem to prefer the easy life. But she, and now Belli, proves if you introduce dogs to healthy exercise at a young age, they thrive on it.
I get tickled when I see Bella in the truck she was so little you can barely see her sitting beside Callie, now look at her!!😊
You can also wrap your brushes in saran wrap, anything that will seal it will keep the brush wet.
Cows look good, so do the pastures! Good update FTR!
The cattle are all looking so good. Funny that the calves hesitated to go into the new field at first. I guess it just takes ONE brave one!
Great video !
Love seeing your happy healthy cows and fun pups!
Thank you for sharing 👏😀❤️
Hi FTR what a beautiful scene of those beautiful cows and dogs and a farmer who shows so much love for his animals thank you so much!
Love it. The life of farm dogs!
Good morning. The gate looks good 👍 The beautiful green grass looks great. 👌
The green grass is coming on good and the cows are getting ready for the babies life is good on the ranch have a good day .
Ur dogs are living there best live everytime you see them on the video there so happy looking and ur cows look happy af too
Thanks for showing us how you get the yearlings to realize the gate is open. That green stuff looks delicious to me as well!
Hi mr Tyler you have a lot of cows and calefs and bulls and pigs 🐖
That was a really nice shot of you standing there, watching the yearlings grazing - glad it lasted more than a couple of seconds. 🧡👍🏼
Love seeing how things are post winter rains and before the summer heat!!
All cattle are looking healthy and in their prime. They wintered well on the hay.
Looks like all the cows and yearlings are enjoying their food and the dogs their run.
Those dogs have the best life. And the cattle look great too!
Hi FT! Love watching the farm process! It’s so relaxing to watch what it takes to run a farm, you never disappoint! God’s blessings!❤❤❤❤
I ENJOYED WATCHING THE VIDEO TYLER 😊
That green grass looks great. starting to see a little here in SW Virginia....
Good Morning, Tyler, Callie and Belly! Third day of Cloudy and Damp! Run, Girls, Run! Great Video today! Spring ahead! Fall Back! Thank-you! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Wrapping the paintbrush in saran wrap when you’re finished using it and then putting it in the fridge. Also works well 🇨🇦♥️🇨🇦
So FTR good to see you read the comments from other farming channels (Country View Acres) another great channel.
Hi Tyler everything looks so green at the ranch we have snow where we live ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Happy cow's happy life!
GOOD MORNING TYLER
Cling film is better than a zip lock bag!
Thanks for sharing Tyler, always enjoy your videos.
Green grass and happy cattle makes for a great video! 18:56
Beautiful farming ❤👏👏👏 I just relive my life thru your videos. THANKYOU and ABUNDANT BLESSINGS 🇦🇺🤗💞🙏👌👍✌️👏🇺🇸
Those Calves where happy to see all of that grass!
It would be great if you could build a nesting box for the wood ducks 😀
Wonderful video! I love seeing the green grass in Cali- so different than here in the mountains of Appalachia, where it is snowing 🥶
Hi Tyler, best wishes from Australia for a successful calving season 2024. 🤠
I've read to be careful running German Shepherd puppies. It can lead to hip problems before they are grown.
Good strategy for turning them out. When I was a kid and I helped my neighbours who ran cattle, the herd always got the scours when turned out on fresh grass, didnt stop them eating, but it didnt look pretty either!
I wouldn't stand to close behind one of those steers for the next week or two. 😅
I am real happy to see that you "take your time" when moving the yearlings.... so many new ranchers are in a hurry and don't move them slowly.... so more stress on the cows and more stress on the person too.... you have to go slow their not real bright and you kind'a encourage them to move....i.e. WALK in the direction that you want.... if you look at it from a cows perspective your presence is un unnerving and they don't know what you want... but 99% of the time when they figure it out their ok with the idea.... because they have nothing better to do... they'll go where you want just so you will go away ! I remember when our 5 cows got out and got on the lower road that was a unused jeep trail they got on it and were heading down it as fast as they could walk.... I caught up to them about 2 miles away from home.... I had a bucket of horse grain with me and when I finally got in front of them they were so surprised as if to say WOW how did you get there.... I asked them where are you going and it was like well were just following this road we want to know where it goes !
so I showed the tamest one the grain I had and started walking back the road to the house and their pen they all followed like puppies ....I'ed stop every once in a while and let them get a bite of the grain to renew their interest..... but they followed me all the way back home from 2 miles away..... when we got home I gave each of them a half bucket of grain and they were happy... then I patched the fence ! Betsy was our fense braker and darn good at getting out..... when we finally had the fence strong enough to keep her in there was no more chasing down the cows ! when you deal with 900 to 1000lb cows you have to make them WANT to go where you want them.... their just too big and powerful to force ! .... same thing with horses.... except their alot smarter they will out think you if your not careful ! LOL
Great video Tyler!!
That brush in a bag works great and you can pop it in the freezer if it’ll be a week or more before you can return to the project.
I’m looking forward to seeing how the hay door works - the corrugated panel is pretty slick (other than the hay loss)
I started out using lower protein lick tubs, they would actually EAT it. I had to change up to hi protein to slow them down, tubs are expensive! Always good to see somebody else dealing with the same issues we do, thank you.
Thx
I am a firm belliever that a wheel on a gate is the way to go. It makes life a lot easier
I always feed some pellets in a 5 gallon bucket. Then, when the cows see me with a bucket, they will follow me anywhere.
That green grass looks luscious. We are happy in the Calgary area to just get a Chinook.
Tyler, why don’t you have a little contest and ask folks to guess when the first 2024 calf hits the ground. Since there will be multiple entries on the same date, you could just take the first 10 or so that had the correct date. You could give away a cap or potholder or anything else you might have. Just a thought.
Good job. Have a good weekend. Hope we don’t get too much rain. Next week looks pretty good.
I’m catching up on watching your videos and I just noticed you hit 120K!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Can’t wait for the calfs to arrive! Want to see if your smoke colored bull throws his color. The MURRY GREY breed was started with a Short Horn cow bred to various Angus bulls and the calfs came various shades of grey.
Foil works well too. Works on rollers also.
Good tip on the paint brush , I'd forgotten about that. Those dogs of yours are having fun running with the side by side....curious about how fast they're going? Will be exciting to see the calves coming soon 😊
Thank u for paint tip.
You like riding all your Vehicles having a little fun, enjoying the day always busy busy busy 3-9-2024❤
Enjoyed seeing the cattle, be fun to see when calves are born, guessing some in March, what is in the protein tub - never heard of it before - they seem to really like it. Enjoy watching, friendly easy manner, good explanations . Good on ya FTR.
Hard protein! Huh.
This mama is consumed with only one thought: How is my son in Navy boot camp lol
Great video!! Thank you!
Nice yearlings
Enjoyed it ... I'll be back.
Oil base paint dry slowly, especially during cooler temperatures
If you start them on stockpile with mature growth and some new growth starting in the mix, you could make an easier transition in the spring.
Loved it . Thank you
Thank you for the video
Enjoyed this adventure a lot. I wanted my own place when I had my horses, still miss them. . Thanks. Do you miss your horse?
Tyler: At some point do you ever intend to train and use the dogs to assist you in moving cattle? On my late uncle's dairy farm, he used a pair of boarder collies to bring cows from the far field to the milking parlor. Of course it could also have been that the cows came towards the parlor on their own due to the time of day, full bags moreso then when the dogs were out and the parlor paddock gate was open. Respectfully, W.S.
I wish there was a way you could put a camera in the field so we can see calves drop.
3:19 I was expecting to see cow in text on the screen
When did Tony the horse arrive? Don't recall seeing him previously!
Tyler does cull cows gets processed in Cali or they transported to other things state packing plant.
Waiting anxiously to see the new calves! Still wondering if any of Riveter's babies will have any of his gorgeous color.....hoping so. Best wishes, Farmer T, for a safe and healthy calving for each mother and baby! 😊
How did Callie know you were going to turn left?
Regarding your protein licks ,do you ever use with biomoss before calving?
💖💖💖💖💖
That must be heaven to a young grass eating animal.........fresh grass with no recent animal poo in it yet......😅😅😅
what kind of proteins do you use in this buckets?
Do you have plans on putting your Ford tractor back together soon?
Any recommendations on a side by side? We have just over 160 acres and the 4 wheeler just isn’t enough. Tia!
That looks too good to be farm made.
👍👍❤🐂
👍👍👍👍👍🐄

Teenagers all have attitudes!
Second🎉😂
That's a funny way to make a political statement😂 Why do the rules only apply to the animal world and not us?
Dang Tyler.. it’s been the most rain that SF has seen the past over 40 years…
