Its called "ice slicer" and its the reason i have body panels rotting off my tow equipment. They use a beet juice/brine mix here. Just gotta clean your undercarriage real good and seal it. I spray WD 40 on mine
3:35 I let AI do my thinking for me and this is what came up: "The solution typically sprayed on roads to help melt snow is called "salt brine," which is a mixture of water and salt (usually sodium chloride) that lowers the freezing point of water, preventing snow and ice from sticking to the road surface as effectively; some variations may also include calcium chloride or magnesium chloride depending on the region and climate."
It absolutely destroys your car frame, trailer’s frame/ wiring, equipment etc.! NOT TO MENTION it kills all the trees alongside the roads where the snow is thrown over winter. Also it will keep your road base from becoming frozen and you’ll quickly notice the asphalt roadways fall apart….great stvff
The Brine solution is terrible for your car /undercarriage not to mention what is does to the vegetation near the roadside. Salt is Salt no matter what they call it. Caltrans primarily uses a brine solution composed of water and sodium chloride (salt) to treat roads during winter weather,
It’s Brine, they use it all over New England, keeps snow and ice from bonding to the pavement
Brine. Yup, you said it!
I wanna see some doughnuts in skid steer with those new chains!!!,- lol !
Liquid calcium chloride, sodium chloride or magnesium chloride is used in Washington state.
We use the sadle tanks that sprays the salt as it comes out the hopper. Also use brine for pre treatment. NY

13:40 Reminds me of when it snows here and that frigid and strong east wind comes screamin' outta the Columbia Gorge.

Why people can't slow down on wintertime roads is beyond me 😕
The jets are laying down the matric to make and to drive the storm in with !
Only problem with those style chains. It’s tough on dry pavement
You are right!
Hey Ben did you get those hats in yet I'd love to buy a few (Make Plowing Great Again)!
