The Ridgid subcompact is definitely a lot more powerful with the max output battery than it is with the standard battery that comes in the kit. The difference surprised me when I tested it. In fact, the drill that I tested wouldn't drive a 1" Diablo Speed Demon through a 2x4 in speed 2 with the standard battery. By the way, it looks like you picked up some more subscribers. Keep up the good work, brother! Thanks for the shoutout, too.
Hey mate, this video is amazing and im glad you did it! Just wanted to point out, the chuck on the AEG is actually a 13mm all metal chuck and metal gearbox. It just has a sort of tactile hard impact plastic around it. Feel free to check the rigid/aeg site and youll see :) All the best, cheers
@@DiligentDave1966 hey mate!!! Glad to hear from you too! Thanks for checking in- Yes everything good, thank God. Had a death in the family, followed by the birth of our second daughter, so as you can imagine, life was pretty hectic for quite a while. Have been a bit off the socials and RUclips, but just sort of getting into it again. How’re you doing my friend? AEG platform is working beautifully. Haven’t skipped a beat, honestly couldn’t be happier. I’m thinking to pick up a few tools around tax time too.
@@mukoshh Glad to hear that the AEG is living up to your expectations. I sent you a message, but I'll also tell you here. I kept the high torque hammer drill combo, but returned the subcompact. It wasn't that the subcompact isn't any good, but it didn't significantly outperform my old Dewalt combo. I was a little disappointed in the subcompact impact driver, though. I might have gotten a dud, but it didn't seem to live up to the specs.
I wouldn't say that the Bosch is surprising weak. I would say that the Ridgid is surprisingly strong, especially for the size. I think the most powerful compact drills would be the subcompact Ridgid and the new Milwaukee M18 non-fuel.
I think I missed the shout out the first few times I watched this video, but I really appreciate it. You even called me an influencer. Wow, that's high praise! 🤣🤣🤣 By the way, your subscriber count is starting to worry me. I'm gonna have to watch out for you. 🤣 Just kidding. Great job, brother! 👍
@@Unmercey3 The 8ah is a beast but I don’t think I’d want to use it with this drill. I honestly think the 4Ah is probably the best option considering it’s not much bigger than the 2ah.
@@GearSpinTools yes i totally understand, I have the GSB 18v-150c, that’s why I have 2 of those batteries.!! And see how much the difference is between old gen batteries and the new one!!! And I think the rigid has a better one in that video!
Great job

Oh okay, thanks for pointing that out.
Hey @mukoshh, I haven't heard anything from you in awhile. Is everything good with you? Also, how is your AEG combo holding up?

That’s a good way of putting it, the Ridgid is quite strong for a compact.
I see you changed the title. The new one is definitely more fitting for the content.
Yes indeed

Lol, no problem you influenced me to test these 2 drills. I’m slowly creeping closer in subs but your putting out great content so keep it up. 👍
@@GearSpinTools We will both get there, eventually.
You should make a test with the Pro core battery on the Bosch.
Yeah I can do that sometime
I have the 8am pro core battery, and performs really well against the Milwauke ( even I have Milwauke )
