i have three different iroshizuku so far and i love them all three. Very easy and pleasant flow and beautiful to the eye... The cooler grey would be fuyu-syogun.
Thanks for the review; I have this ink myself and happen to really enjoy it! Yes, it is light, but I never had an issue with legibility, even with fine nibs (although it was a pretty wet fine nib). I would describe it as 'gentle,' as opposed to some of the pale pinks and yellows that are truly difficult to read. It's just a really pretty ink, and like many of the other Iroshizuku tones, evokes its name, "Autumn Rain," quite well! I would recommend.
I just got this ink myself and I love it! Very well behaved, plenty legible, even with fine nibs, due to the wetness. And it shades so beautifully! I’m a sucker for good shading. I use it instead of black for headings, and the softer contrast and warm undertones make the whole page feel more cozy and relaxing ☺️
One of my favorite grey inks. Matter of fact, I currently have my Desiderata Soubriquet "Moonstone Water" inked with it. It has an EF nib and my journal entries are showing up/are darker than what I see here. I'm sure paper is a major influencer. Cheers!

Thank you! I will definitely do a review of Fuyu-syogun in the future.

Glad to hear that it works well for you.
Surprisingly nice properties for a lighter grey! I might get a bottle of this.
If you want a light grey this is my top recommendation.

Glad to hear you like it. Cozy and relaxing is a nice description for this ink.

It could be that my EF is drier or narrower. Lamy EFs are not the most consistent.
I love grey inks, thanks for the review 😊
You are so welcome!
Thanks for sharing. I am looking for a grey ink. I will check this out.
I don't think it can easily be beaten on the performance front.
Interesting! I think I'll stick with Fuyu-syogun though.
I will definitely be doing a review a Fuyu-syogun in the future.
