This is the most helpful Iroshizuku comparison review on RUclips. Thank you for helping me pick my next ink purchase. Yes, it was Yama-Budo... :) I have Shin-Kai and Asa-Gao. However many of the other Iroshizuku colours are covered by inks from other manufacturers but I have nothing close to Yama-Budo, so that's the one I've gone for. Thanks again!
Glad it was helpful! Yama Budo is so pretty! You picked a great one :)
So happy to see all of these swatched. I’ve only recently become a fountain pen enthusiast and have already fallen in love with the Pilot line of inks. They might not be as fancy with the effects as others, but they perform beautifully. No hard starts. Nice flow, even in miserly nibs. My go-to in any pen.
I feel the same way about this brand of inks! They are always a great choice with ANY pen!
Pilot Iroshizuku inks can do no wrong. Take-sumi and Tsuki-yo are my work inks.
I love both of those so much! They are perfect work inks.
ahhh so lucky to have the entire collection! Pilot Iroshizuku doesn't have nearly as many inks as many other trendy brands, but man...they have SOLID performing inks. It's similar to some of my favorite restaurants...no need to have a huge menu, just do a stellar job with what you do offer. Many times it's much better to have quality over quantity
I love the comparison! Haha Thank you for watching :)
This was amazing! Seeing all the inks at once made it easy to see which i wanted to order next. Gold Star. 🌟
Awesome! Thank you!
Great videos as usual! Nice that you included the translated names which makes the inks more interesting.
Thank you very much! I always like to see the names in the English version if it is offered. I think they are more fun to compare to the object that you may know based on the name.
I like this too!
Thank you! This was so incredibly helpful! I hope everyone considering purchasing one of these bottles gets a chance to watch this. 🙏🏻
Thank you so much!! :)
Love this! Great video! I started using these inks in new pens to get a feel of how they write! Very consistent inks! And so beautiful!! ♥️
I agree! They behave well in any pen and are always beautiful to write with :)
I'm so sad Tsukushi is discontinued. I feel like I need to buy a backup bottle.
I know exactly how you feel. With so many blues, I am sad they got rid of TWO browns.
Lol I bought so many in preparation of them cancelling
same over here, my standard color for work is brown ink. I'm switching to Kyo no oto, hope it is good (it's being shipped as I type)
Yep I bought some spares and have one in my "museum" section 😂. At least I bought a lifetime supply of old school Tomoe River paper
Amazing!!!🎉 i just bought my first pilot pen, the prera and bought the peacock ink. Hope i like it as much as you do. It is still by Amazon. Thanks so so so much for this complete swatch of all the colors. So helpful. ❤❤
Thank you for the well planned and executed video... very useful review, which helped me identify which iroshizuku inks to get next 😊
You're welcome!! Happy ink shopping ❤️️
I loved this video! Thank you for the comparisons!
You are so welcome! Thank you for watching Karyna! :)
This is great! Thank you for sharing this!
Glad you enjoyed it!
This was exactly the kind of review I was looking for cheers , got 5 different types , amazing wet flow for my requirements and the paper I use.
Glad I could help!! Enjoy your inks!! 💝💝
I couldn’t decide which Iroshizuku ink to get and your video was super helpful! Thank you so much for such great content ❤
Glad it was helpful! Thank you!
I love your ink swatch videos sooooo much!!!
Thank you 💖💖💖
Sooo satisfying... Wud love to see Diamine's comparison.
That is a great idea!! I think comparing them to Robert Oster would be cool too :)
Great video. Thanks for making this.
My pleasure! 😊
I love this video! Thanks!
This video is fantastic! The only clear way to really see the colours :D Trying to buy for my wife but I cannot decide between Tsutsuji and Yama Budo.
Both are great choices!! Yama Budo is darker and more purple leaning, Tsutsuji is much more pink. Although I would say that Yama Budo is much more unique!
I LOVE all of these inks and have most of them. I even paid double the amount just to have Ina Ho.
I'm just getting started with fountain pens, and looking to get my first bottles of ink. This video was absolutely perfect for learning about this line, and I just wanted to say thank you!
Now off to convince myself that I do not need to buy all 5 of my favorites at once lol
You are so welcome! This is a great line of inks. They behave wonderfully on so many papers and in so many pens. Good luck not getting all 5!! It is so hard not to collect them all like pokemon 😂😅
This was very helpful!
I'm so glad!
Hi great job on the video. I do use it as reference. I was able to get a hold on 3 discontinued color from an online store locally. (Fyi i am on the other side of the globe), Tsuyu Kasa Cornflower, Ino Ho Rice ear and Tsukusyi Horsetail, albeit at a premium. Sadly only available in 30 ml size. Thank you for the video for i am new to this hobby. I did order Delta Spaccanapoli Filo Marino ( Italian pens do have some long names) in M to go with the inks 😊.Thanks again for the video 👍.
That's amazing!! Glad you were able to get the discontinued colors :) Italian pens do have long hames haha but they are great writers!
thankyou - that was very helpful.
You're welcome!
got ama iro and sui gyoku because of this review, thank you.
Enjoy your new inks!!
Great video! Thank you! I love these inks and have few bottles. One is Kon-Peki of course :-)
Thank you for watching 💖 Kon-Peki is fabulous!
Love all the colours but im always drawn to the greys lol
They are very nice on the eyes 😊
Thank you. I’m choosing my next colour. So hard to pick!
You’re welcome 😊 It is a tough choice! They all are really great.
Was two seconds away to snatch a 30 ml bottle of Inaho, but got taken out of reach at Scriptus, the annual FP show here in Toronto. In its place, I did manage a 30 ml bottle of Tsukushi, Yamaguri, and Konpeki for $5 CDN each, not that disappointed. Asagao was my FPD Iroshizuku in tye full bottle. Takesumi will round out my Iroshizuku collection.
Oh no! Maybe one day they will bring back Ina Ho and some of the other discontinued inks. I'm sure there would be plenty of demand!
Thank you for bringing this to us. Also looking for Sailor manyo & shikiori. Have you done a comparison with Sailor vs Kobe inks?
Thank you for watching! I have done the Sailor Manyo collection and the Shikiroi (minus their 4 new inks) already on my channel :) I have not had the pleasure to try too many Kobe inks so I have not done a comparison, but if I ever acquire enough samples from them I will be sure to do one!
Great video!! Thank you! I want all of the bottles of ink from Pilot...lol....(5 bottles so far..lol.).
You and me both! Thank you for watching!
Thank you! Now, I want to buy most of them :)
Any of them are great! Thank you for watching!
@@mydandeliondiaries I just received take-sumi and murasaki-shikibu (ordered before watching your video). Will fill up my pen anytime soon. :-)
Great vid! I have 7, one is Jurojin from the 100th anniversary.. I want chiku rin. They behave so well and do not disappoint. Aji sai is a fav of mine.. though there is not one I don’t love.
7! That is so amazing :) The 100th anniversary inks were so cool, I hope they re-release them some day. Or make some new colors for another anniversary!
@@mydandeliondiaries Jurojin slays me, how delicate a color but it shows up so well.. I recently picked up shin-ryoku and tsutsuji and I LOVE them both! I want to pick up one more, rewatching this vid to help me decide.. I keep holding off on chiku-rin.. tsuki-yo looks lovely, but I’m not the biggest teal fan, though it looks nicely muted. Hard choices. 😊
Incredibly helpful. Thank you. I'm bewildered by all the choices in the Iroshizuku line. I have 10 samples and one bottle (take sumi). Love the subtle shading. Also love ku jaku, shin kai. All the inks perform nicely but some colors just don't do it for me.
Glad it was helpful!
Bayıldım, çok faydalı oldu. Kanaldaki benzer videoları da izleyeceğim 🤗
Thank you! 🥰
Thanks a lot for sharing the samples. Much appreciated. Will help me picking some. Which one do you suggest for my first iroshizuku bottle?
There are so many good choices!! If you're wanting a blue, you can't go wrong with Kon Peki, it is a favorite among the community, as is Yama Budo and Kosumosu. I personally love Ajisai and Chiku Rin, and Yu Yake for more "fun" colors. But no matter what you pick you'll have a great ink on your hands!
@@mydandeliondiaries thank you, will keep your suggestions in mind
Loved the video! I'm planning to try the two orange inks. From online pictures it seems Fuyugaki is more red, maybe similar to . Diamine Sunset? But you're saying Yuyake is the sunset ink. I really like red oranges so I wonder which one would you recommend?
Fuyugaki is darker than Yuyake in writing. The swatches do have Yuyake appearing the darker but in writing it is the opposite. If you can get samples of each I highly recommend both, but if you had to pick the one that is more red orange, Fuyugaki is the one I would pick :)
@@mydandeliondiaries Great! I will definitely try them. I have never been a seasonal person but planning/journaling really changed that and now I have colours for each season. I am in a pink phase now but I think autumn is definitely orange.
I have both and love them! I typically have Fuyugaki in a fine nib since it is brighter and Yuyake in a medium nib to see the color properties better.
Sorry I'm late to this. Beautiful inks, no doubt. The issue I have is that for the price of 3 of these inks in my country, I could buy a really nice pen. Yes, I appreciate that samples can be bought, but to me these just don't offer good value. I may end up picking up a couple of my favourites, but they're just too rich for my blood.
Gracias desde España 😊
De nada!! Gracias por ver mi video! 💝
Hiii! I was wondering where you bought the tsuyu kusa ink from in the US. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!!! But I can’t find it anywhere since it’s discontinued!
I got it from Vanness 1938 Pen Shop! They only had samples when I got mine and I'm not sure if they still have it in stock but they have a website and a store in Arkansas!
@@mydandeliondiaries thank you!
@@mydandeliondiaries thank you so much 😭😭I’ve been wanting to try this ink for so long and I’m so sad it’s discontinued!!
@@mydandeliondiaries thank you!!
Was completely shocked when they discounted Pilot Iroshizuku, Tsukushi..Like, a bunch. That is the most unique brown ink. I haven't found NO other ink that has such an amazing greenish, gold sheen. If anyone does know of a similar brown..please..let me know!=]
Still holding out that Pilot will bring it back some day!
👌👌👌😍😍🌈🪁🪁🪁
I thought you called the pink one “cherry blossom puddles” and now that I see it’s “petals” I’m disappointed. 😂
Oh no! So sorry haha. We can pretend I said puddles 😂
Pigments for all industries are dictated by the auto industry so when the auto industry discontinues a pigment, it goes away for inks, watercolors, etc.
That is so interesting! Thank you for sharing ❤️
I’ve never heard that wow! I’m trying to google to find out more but can’t find anything. Do you have somewhere to point to I could look?
Positive feedback. I know it is a lot of work to make videos. The job you do with ink descriptions is fantastic. Enjoy the style similar to another RUclips creator. Good stuff. Lighting is horrible. Worth repeating. The lighting was horrible. Couldn’t finish this video as a result. Too good of a presentation, too much effort on your part, to then let poor lighting detract. Hope that helps.
Again, excellent work, much appreciated. 🎉
Thank you for the feedback!
Your Japanese pronunciation is fine, but roll the r's.
Thank you!
Amazing!!!🎉 i just bought my first pilot pen, the prera and bought the peacock ink. Hope i like it as much as you do. It is still by Amazon. Thanks so so so much for this complete swatch of all the colors. So helpful. ❤❤
Hope you enjoy it! The Prera is so fun, the magnetic cap is just amazing!
