I'm exactly the same as you. There must be a generational shift between 30 and 39 where your brain just changes, and scenes like these go the polar opposite where you'll do anything to avoid the crowds, noise, and atmosphere. Bring me a cold beer, some country music, and a warm bed by 10pm and I'm as happy as a pig in the proverbial! Fantastic video mate. Cheers.

Can only recall the Reggae Bar and Boxing Arena from when I was there
Stayed on Phi Phi several times a few years ago, visiting an old friend who worked in the big hotel that spans the narrow isthmus, she found me one those bamboo huts near the hotel. No air-con, just a fan and a mosquito net, but it did have a proper bathroom built onto the back.
Phi Phi is beautiful we ( don and his family ) stayed on the quiet end (Holiday Inn) 10-12 years ago… Thanks for your…. and didn’t know there’s a town there bars shops and such… was a great holiday…only had pay by hour internet in hotel lobby.,.. so I spent 1 hour max a day early morning doing work … made it a great holiday

Hey Ryan, wonderful walk-around my friend. I am gonna have to start going to some of these islands. The only one I've been to is phuket and that's not really an island. At least in my book. Probably in the off season. Just get over the fact that it's hot. Enjoy life.

I’m just like you!! I’m to old for the crazy parties anymore. I like the quiet places with a live band.
What has happened to Phi phi? I was in Phuket there in February 92 and stayed for 2 months and visited Phi phi one day. It was very little buildings there that time. Now it all looks crazy.
My first time was 1992 also-pp like a paradise, then next time after 19 years in 2011-i was shocked. But the smell is the same😊 and now we come every year to p.p. -i know a lot peopels there and i love it its much different like 1992 ,but i don't know why,but i love it.I think p.p.must stopping the Buildings,because of the nature,is tooooo much for this Island. And sorry for my englisch,i learned of the Streets in Thailand😂

Unfortunately age catches up and the wild party days have been meet and settled down to a dull roar. The full moon party had many buckets and passed out on many spots but also got burns from the skipping ropes. It ticked the list on things to do now for a slower pace love the vid and the various topics on offer looking forward to see more of the islands.
So I'm a hardcore youtube viewer. I guess I am while I wait out the cold rainy season here in Norway. And then 3 weeks on Koh Samui. Thanks for this little window 😁

Phi phi was insane during high season
As an even older man, agree the music in many bars/venues is too loud in LOS. I really do not get why, other than amplified speakers are so much cheaper than 40 years ago. Of course Thais seem to want to push the volume to distortion levels as well, which is absolutely insane in small areas. No talking when EDM playing, it is all about how you move and facial expressions Another great vlog.
Most Thai islands are the same in the way they are run and what they have.
