    Stunning car loved watching the old dolomite sprint going up the hill really brings back memories of my old one, was nice speaking to you as well, me and my wife was marshalling the weekend..

    I see you’re using OD on 2nd, I did that on my sprints back in the 80s, what’s your engine spec? My street car had 160bhp on the dyno. I’m not sure I can remember I the spec now, ( 35 years later) I think it was STR 291 cam, with a vernier sprocket, BBT needles, standard air filter ( good for 200hp on the jags). Very short stub stacks that kept the air box standard , A standard manifold and Triumphtune 2 inch 2 box system. It clattered like a bag of nails but was totally reliable.

    Yeah bone dry until the afternoon where play was suspended due to the deluge!
    Knocked 5 seconds off my first run and 3 seconds off my personal best...need to find another 2 seconds to get to the bogey (58) which isn't impossible, but not in the wet! 🙂

    Looked like a nice clean fast run. Was it all dry? You are missing aintree !
