Pretty interesting how far these BGs extend despite some parts being completely out of bounds. I guess those parts are remnants from NSMBU, because the SMM2 BGs are basically the same ones from NSMBU with some changed Lighting and Shaders.

It was removed due to the acorn suit not being in the game. But now that it’s here, they still didn’t add it back. Weird right?

@@jq2ndaccount True, and also, before they actually add the acorn tree, they need to make actual night backgrounds first. The ones we do have right now look empty and almost 2d-looking, which looks really bad and weird, especially since the snow in NSMBU is at night.
And then I added it as a mod
@Toadw1 lol ikr. Nintendo always professes how much they love Mario U yet the Mm2 devs are so lazy in adding these simple features.

Some of the items in the background are 2d textures layered behind each other, so that's why some of them are extended off the screen so far because some of them are reused

What is the chance, that, say, I made a full length 90 level game in SMM2 that took me just over 3000 hours, you could showcase even just a random level from it? I could really use some exposure (I have no friends that would play them and no way to market it, being my channel is not geared towards that content); I have studied Nintendo’s course design for 5 years and I have carefully crafted levels every night after work with old SMM blueprints and new designs. In my humble opinion I have come the closest to official design of most all creators. I hope this message finds you well. Love ya Willy
