The Game:
Bloodborne is set in the city of Yharnam, a gothic, Victorian-inspired city plagued by a mysterious and terrifying illness. The city is known for its advanced medical practices and the Healing Church, which has a dark secret tied to the spreading affliction. The atmosphere is eerie and foreboding, filled with grotesque creatures, nightmarish landscapes, and a pervasive sense of dread.

I was hoping u would go fromsoft again! Bloodborne might be the best of the bunch. Sekiro is also pure magic. Ds3 pure magic. In fact, these games kind of ruined all other games for me. I did the same journey as you one year ago. Platinumed most of miazakis games now. Good luck. I'll be watching.

with certain bosses and enemies you are able to stagger them with your gun if you fire at the right time,and when they are stunned you are able to preform a heavy attack that deals heavy damage

Really good first episode mate, extremely excited for this series on the channel! Bloodbornes in most peoples top 3 Fromsoft games of all time up there with Dark Souls 3 and Elden Ring. Rightfully so as well this games absolutely epic what with its gothic horror, and in my opinion some of the best drip in all of Souls games lol.
Some times I'll give to help you out is firstly your gun is a ranged weapon yes, but it's primary use is so that you can parry. If you wait until an enemy begins to attack and shoot them with your gun if you get the timing down you can parry them and temporarily stun them so you can get off a visceral attack (a critical hit like a backstab from DS1). Skill is basically this games Dex stat and also boosts your visceral attacks damage. Your Sawcleaver also from what I can tell seems to be one of the best weapons in the game as I've seen people use it for an entire playthrough and it never seems to fall off, also I think it's a Strength weapon so your stating yourself well so far if you wanna use it for most of the game.
Also every weapon in this game has 2 forms, take your Sawcleaver in its base form it does high damage but in its second form it extends to give you more range, but because of that does less damage. Every other weapon in the game is similar in that they have a base form with perks, and a transformed 2nd form with its own perks and drawbacks.
This game heavily rewards being aggressive as you've seen in this episode the more you attack the better things turn out for you, if you get hurt you have a brief window to get that HP back without healing yourself as long as you QUICKLY attack the enemy each attack will give you back some of the HP you lost, and it'll show you a little flare animation coming off of you as you do it.
The last tip I can really give that I know about is when you die you'll lose your Blood Echoes like in other Souls games, but unlike in those games you don't drop your Blood Echoes. Instead the enemy that kills you absorbs them, and in order to get them back you have to kill the EXACT enemy that killed you. If I'm wrong it may be a case that you just have to attack them, but I believe you have to kill them in order to get your Blood Echoes back. With bosses I think you just have to attack them. So be careful who or what you let kill you in this game lol.

Sometimes, but because they can't ever be long or super clear, it's nothing significant 99% of the time. I don't worry about it personally.
I hate all the crap on the ground and the button prompts popping up during a fight. Really breaks the immersion too. I always turn those off.
@@jankbunky4279 eh, i've seen stuff like "great beast ahead" which basically just means boss ahead, which i don't like seeing personally. offline is the way to go to avoid it, but it's really all personal preference!
Another first timer in Bloodborne? I’ve already watched maybe 12 other first time playthroughs? Still watching the hell out of this? Yes yes and yes. First time to your channel. This is always a great start. I’ll have to check out the Dark Souls playthrough as well. Two of my top 5 games ever.

i can't believe you almost killed that werewolf in the beginning! came to this game after elden ring, and man, was i not fully prepared for the madness! new to the channel, but i'm excited to see the series! always love watching people play these games and see what areas they struggled in compared to me. can't believe you took down cleric beast in one go! you're a pro!

Honestly thought i had made a mistake since i didn’t have a weapon but then soon realised when spawning i hunters dream that it was probably meant to be that way😂

Your fight with Cleric Beast was out of this world 😱 Incredible work in general, I really enjoy watching 👌🏼 I’ve just picked up Bloodborne again after I stumbled upon your videos, I just need to work a bit on my reflexes, the combat is soooo high paced 😂

It's amazing you noticed about that Hunter garb looking like the guy from Dark Souls DLC. Most people believe that that character was a teaser, since fromsoft was already working on bloodborne when they released that DLC.
