Practice virtue through small efforts. Take the long line at the check out and say to yourself “ this is to practice patience”. Accept a ( justified) reproach from your friend without making an excuse “ this is helping me be more humble”. Etc.

Oh yes. And most of the priest are so happy to see people confessing and returning to God you know? Many people feel stressed and ashamed before confessing but really most priests dont want to judge you. They want to provide Gods forgiveness and give you good advice to win eternal life

Please pray for me that I will find a Catholic Church. I was raised Protestant and have felt like something is missing and to easy just not right. I am doing your 54 day novena that if I am on the right path I will be shown the way and given a sign and a church for me. I am learning so much from you. I appreciate your videos so much. I long to go to confession and be part of the mass and holy communion. 💕

Trying to get to confession more often, I find it difficult/guilt but the more I go the easier it will become. I always think of Padre Pio when he was hearing confession, someone saw him leaving one day and his face was transformed into the divine face of Jesus. So now I try to imagine it’s Jesus sitting there with me, it helps a lot.
I’ve just finished a novena to St Therese to help me find a friend, I don’t have anyone to share with.
You look lovely Heather, such a beautiful glow 😊

I’m publishing a weekly RUclips video on episodes from the life of Don Bosco, entitled ST JOHN BOSCO by JOE ZAMMIT. In this series I’m narrating events and miracles from the splendid life of Don Bosco. St John Bosco used to perform a miracle almost every day, through the intercession of Mary Help of Christians. From the lives of saints we can learn how to love God more and draw closer to him. Thank you.

You make an excellent point at 5:54! Constantly asking God for things hinders spiritual growth, for it's the symptom of a lack of trust in divine providence (Luke 12: 29-32; Mat 6:8). God is not an ATM! The Our Father contains already all the legitimate requests we are to make. I used to think that prayer automatically means prayer of request, but request is just one form of prayer: praise, thanksgiving are more superior forms of prayer (of course that doesn't mean that we ought not to ask God for special favours, for instance, if we are facing grave illnesses or impending catastrophes, but we must always remember to finish with «Thy will, not mine, be done!»

I appreciate your approach in talking with us (not AT us) about living a Catholic life. I am at a different stage of life than you ( I will guess I am at least a decade older, no children of my own, though I am co-guardian of my niece with special needs and had a large hand in raising my nieces and nephews. Parenting comes in a variety of ways. I am a Gen X who is also overseeing my mom's appointments and navigating mine and my parent and spouses aging. I am in the process of outfitting myself and my niece so we can go to mass ( I found a couple of skirts on Ebay and got my niece a couple of skirts and new shoes) so we can "suit up" to go to mass.

My best friend shared this video with me, and I’m glad she did. A former student of mine kept inviting me to this community that promotes healthy living, I kept pulling it on because of the negative feedback from others, but after finally going I realized after 3 days what a great motivation I got from those in this particular community and being a social worker major, I’m into the wholeheartedliving of how what we eat affects our mind and spirit. I believe this is a definite sign for the greater glory of God as per St. Ignatius whose feast is today to join, thank you for sharing and God bless. 🙏♥️🥰

Hi! I have two questions and I hope someone can answer them for me. 1) If you're living in sin, ie: legally married to a non-practicing catholic, can you get confessed and take communion knowing that you're going to go back home to your spouse? (2) Can you offer up suffering that is caused by sin? For example: severe cramps and bleeding due to birth control? Would love some clarity on these topics. Thank you.

Hi I'm John in Ireland and I came across your podcast. Excellent and you are on the road to Holyness. Another couple of things I would say go on Retreat to one of the Marian shrines. We spent 10 days in Medjugoria shrine (like it was our holiday) and it was fantastic. The one thing we found was the veil between Heaven and Earth is very thin there. Also being Holy now, comes across as being a hick and a "Holy Joe" so we need to talk about it and be easy and open with it so as not to be afraid of it.

Lovely video, thank you. I think a good holy habit that we can share as catholics is to try and always treat and show other people Jesus love. Many times people tend to hurt us, treat us unfairly. Instead of reacting to that behavior we should just think of Jesus how he loved and forgave and do the same. Reach out to those who don't like us and show Jesus love. It may change them or their lives. 🤗🌺🌹

Try joining groups whose purpose is to help the poor, the sick, prisoners or prayer groups. These Works of Mercy type groups seem to attract good people who are looking out for others instead of themselves.
      Or
Attend daily Holy Mass regularly and smile at everyone as they enter, soon you will have many good and holy friends! True story!
I am a hermit and very shy but I do attend morning masses, and I smile and wave at everyone (they are my church family😇)
Last month I fainted at the end of Mass.
I couldn’t see but I could hear so many good souls trying to help me.
When the ambulance came for me one of the women followed me and met me at the ER. She stayed with me until I was admitted to the hospital.
I received cards from members of my church family and it warmed my soul!
So be the one who smiles at everyone 😇🥰😘

Well from woman to woman 🤣 using suncreen on the face and neck (minimum spf30 although i prefer spf50). Moisturizing like previously recommended. A big big thing is using either vit c or retinol facial drops - with these sun screen is mandatory as you can burn more easily). I use "the ordinary" brand because its cheap and made in canada. You can also use collagen or hyaluronic acid serums on damp skin. You can also take the collagen orally. None of these has to be expensive. There are good, affordable options.

Ideally, I Want to go to Confession Every month, but between "Continuous Lock-Downs" (Australia) and the sad fact, that the nearest Church is a Novus Ordo Church, the Priests there don't seem to want to hear confessions?! It's an uphill battle to arrange time for Confessions, only to have it cancelled, at the last minute?! Frustrating. If our Border-Bubble is "open", I'II head over interstate for Confession, in another 'Trad' Church, where it is No Problem! If not, I Pray my Rosary and read through Old Missals. It is So 'Hard Work being a loving Catholic, in these Troubling times. You keep up these Good Works and I Agree with everything you say here!

I encourage you to try to stay positive, pray the Rosary I always receive grace when I pray the Rosary, read about the Saints because a lot of them had similar situations. Also be Christ to her & love her, ask God to help you with that and you will see miracles

@@ACatholicMomsLife what about when that's your husband? 😥 So, so hard. I cannot openly practise my faith. I usually can't go to Mass when I would like to (apart from Sundays). Can't pray or read the Bible or any sort of spiritual book if he's there. Lockdown and home office have been.... a challenge! Any advice most welcome. And my advice to anyone contemplating marrying a non-catholic - don't do it! Even if they start out ok with your faith, people change.... 😔🙏🏻

It’s confusing…. Different priests have different requirements for the Catholic faith.

The priests don't get to pick and choose what the Church teaches. Read the Catechism of the Catholic Church and study Catholic Answers (catholic.com). You can call in to their radio show with specific questions too.

Lead by example without judgement and make
    decision
based upon the Him Spirit. Guided by your own
conscience. NOT a good idea to start laying out directives STRICTLY other people. We are ALL only HUMAN. Better to lead by example

The Blessed Is She app is a scam. They kick people out of their program, even when they pay to join the small groups, etc. I would never recommend that app.
