@@camillemyrick I don’t deny the world is a broken place. That is true. We wouldn’t even need doctors and lawyers if it wasn’t a broken place. However, his agreement with his friends statement that women can not be mothers and be doctors and lawyers is coming from his own personal opinion and is not backed by the Bible. If this were true then men would also have to avoid these jobs. And we could have no doctor’s or lawyers that were true to their faith and also parents. He seems to be pushing the idea that women should be primarily at the home and this is not supported in scriptures.
A few issues with this.. 1st he was right that as believers main question should be is “ What is God’s will for my life? And we should do what glorifies God. However, if women can not be doctors and lawyers and also be mothers then the same should hold true for fathers. If they are removing themselves from the home for 70-80 hours a week and removing themselves as a father as well. So, does this mean that no Christian can be a doctor or lawyer and be a parent? He is right that a Christians life should glorify God. He’s wrong in dictating how it should be done.
The Bible is very clear on the roles of men and women, and if we go against them, we go against God. We cannot be the mothers and wives that God wants us to be if we do things our own way and don't live according to His will.
Men are called to work - it was part of the curse from the fall. Women are to serve/work in the home as a helpmeet for their husbands and raise their children. Paul Washer has a teaching fully on biblical womanhood (and manhood) which fleshes this out more.
Husbands are to provide, BUT this also does not mean that they are to work nonstop to where they are unable to spend time with the children, or spend time with his wife, not go to church etc. There has to be a balance. That is why its important for husband's to find a job that will not get in the way of his time with God and his family. There is no such thing as a perfect job, BUT when we obey the Lord the lord is faithful to provide and bestow blessings :))
I love how Paul Washer didn’t say women shouldn’t work, while he said is Women should spend most of their time with their children, raising their small children, they may work outside of the home, but for a small period of time, the responsibility of hard work outside of the home is for men not for women. I think those young ladies can graduate as such, have their children, stop work or work small hours and then when their children are big m, they can continue working, if that is what they wish. 🎉
Amen!!!
What causes you to agree with this? Just curious..

Then Lawyers and Doctors should remain single and not have a family.
