Most of this man's family had already given up on the kitten and gotten back to their party and urged him to do the same. No one could've blamed him for giving up after 60, 40, or even 20 minutes of CPR. But he never did... and that made all the difference for that little kitten!
He only lived five years and was treated like a king. The family was devastated when he passed away. He developed kidney stones and had a heart attack when the vet tried to catherize him. Laz had a great life, eventhough it was only 5 years. RIP Laz

My cat, Oscar we actually found him in the woods on Christmas. It was -10 degrees! When we found him he was so sweet and now he's been with us for almost a year. He is cross-eyed and the sweetest thing. And what's funny is that he does not care for snow, hell walk right through 2 feet of snow! ❤🐱

This video is honestly so heart-warning. The kitten grew up so well and the family is so loving. That man who did chest-compressions for 1,5 hour is a hero.
My favourite part of this story is honestly the fact that a whole little generation of future adults learned about helping the helpless and not giving up when it seems all is lost. An HOUR+ that man spent on a frozen kitten produced a new family member, those kids are not going to forget that, especially with the cat being such a part of the family. Kids absorb what they see, and they don't often get to see everyday people doing such extraordinary things for such "tiny" causes. Bravo!

This is probably not what you meant by this comment, but there are an enormous number of people out there that insist adopting two cats is better than one, the reason being that a single cat will be lonely and it’s selfish not to adopt two. I live in a small apartment and can only take care of one cat. I want to remind people that It’s okay to just get one cat. When you go to the shelter, there are cats that they recommend be the only pet in the house, as well as cats that have pair bonded that are better off being adopted together. Just ask for a cat that’s not pair bonded. The advice that getting two cats is better has been around for years and has kept potential cat owners from adopting cats because they feel that a single cat home is some sort of mistreatment of the animal. It kept me from getting a cat for years. If this reasoning were dropped we could get more cats in danger of being euthanized into loving homes. And at the end of the day, that’s what’s important. Again, you probably didn’t mean all that when you commented. I just want to make sure people aren’t hesitating adopting a cat because they can only care for one.
I have several cats and yet I have about three that would like it just fine, prefer it actually, if they were the sole cat in the house. They never interact with the others and keep a wary eye on them at all times. Just saying sometimes they are fine by themselves.
Some people are not fit to take care of animals - Like not having the money to take them to the vet, or not wanting to get the animal spayed or neutered
I made itty bitty drops of pancakes for my cockatiel. I loved her so much. We had her for 19.5 years. I miss her and whenever I make pancakes I still make her some. I burst into tears when I saw the family making pancakes for Lazarus.

He only made it to five, but that is five more happy years with a loving family that he would not of gotten had they not found and rescued the frozen kitten. He now waits for the family by the bridge.

I’m a dog person but I want to say that cats are just misunderstood. They can show love as much as dog but in different ways. Edit: and of course there are some people who hate cats and try so hard to say how bad cats are. Cats aren’t for everyone, just like how dogs aren’t for everyone. Dogs are extrovert and dependent on their owners because they are animals that enjoy being in pack. Cats are introverted and independent from their owners because they prefer being away from people most of the time. Just cuz a person is introverted doesn’t mean they are heartless or emotionless. They just don’t feel comfortable being with people all the time and prefer spending some time doing their own things alone. But with cats, they cannot reasons like human do. So when you keep pressuring and harassing them into doing things with you even though they are clearly uncomfortable with it at the moment, of course they would sometimes scratch you. Cuz how else can they make you stop? Like I say before, I am a dog lover but I am also an introvert. I have a hard time being around people due to anxiety and low self esteems. The reason why I love dogs more because they make me feel happy and even encourages me to go out more to get some fresh air. Seriously guys, stop putting down on cats and cats lover. Just accept that some people just don’t like cats and some just don’t like dogs and stop acting like a superior d-bag just cuz dogs are more important in term of working with humans like police or support animal.

Valeria Gutierrez Diaz I used to own two cats when I was very young (around 6). I had them when they were little kittens and I would pet them and feed them all the time. They are attached to me so much that they would follow me everywhere I go. And my mom would make them stay out of me and my brother (who was 3) bedroom because she’s afraid that cat hair would be all over our bed. Every night the kittens would meow for us. Although as they got older and grew more “distant”, they still show me affection. Like sleeping on my lap, leaving me dead rats, and purring every time I pet them.
He found the perfect family. He added value to their already happy home. I wonder if this fine man had a sense of what a difference the life he was so determined to save would have on all of them.
Sadly, in 2020 Lazarus passed away after his bladder was blocked with stones. The vets tried to put a catheter in but they couldn't even do that. He is still a miracle kitty and got to love his family for 5 years.

Most wouldn't do this for anyone/ anything. You are right on. Sure, there are animals that stop nearly every bodily function to avoid dying in those circumstances, so with humans it's hard to say if it's by chance or if there's a limit to it (how much time you can stay that way).
Omg that looks like a red point Siamese. This breed is known for their love of people and make excellent family pets. They are not an outdoor cat at all and cannot handle the cold.
No cats can handle the cold! That's why cats freeze to death and get frost bites on their paws and ears. They can even loose parts of their body :'( which is why I hate people sometimes. If you gonna get a cat, be prepared to care for it and treat it like a family member for (hopefully) 20+ years. Don't throw it out like a piece of garbage cause it grows too big, or scratches your darn furniture ,pees on your floor, empty your flower pots out on the floor or ruin things in your house. That's something you've gotta be ready for when you make the decision to add a new furry family member! They can also be expensive...spay/neuter,ID chipped, dental care, health checks, possible accidents etc. A cat is for LIFE! 🐱💗
Daisy Cocoa we once rescued a flame point Siamese and she was the sweetest kitty ever. She died young of kidney failure but she was the dearest kitty. We always said she must have been a hippy in another life cuz she was all about peace and love. Her name was Daisy.

If you don’t have a cat, and you’re not sure whether you want one or not, just get one. Actually, get two. You won’t regret it. Each cat has their own personality and they will make your life better in ways that you would never expect. If a cat chooses you as their human, cherish it.

This is probably not what you meant by this comment, but there are an enormous number of people out there that insist adopting two cats is better than one, the reason being that a single cat will be lonely and it’s selfish not to adopt two.
I live in a small apartment and can only take care of one cat. I want to remind people that It’s okay to just get one cat. When you go to the shelter, there are cats that they recommend be the only pet in the house, as well as cats that have pair bonded that are better off being adopted together. Just ask for a cat that’s not pair bonded.
The advice that getting two cats is better has been around for years and has kept potential cat owners from adopting cats because they feel that a single cat home is some sort of mistreatment of the animal. It kept me from getting a cat for years. If this reasoning were dropped we could get more cats in danger of being euthanized into loving homes. And at the end of the day, that’s what’s important.
Again, you probably didn’t mean all that when you commented. I just want to make sure people aren’t hesitating adopting a cat because they can only care for one.

I have several cats and yet I have about three that would like it just fine, prefer it actually, if they were the sole cat in the house. They never interact with the others and keep a wary eye on them at all times. Just saying sometimes they are fine by themselves.
Some people are not fit to take care of animals - Like not having the money to take them to the vet, or not wanting to get the animal spayed or neutered

I made itty bitty drops of pancakes for my cockatiel. I loved her so much. We had her for 19.5 years. I miss her and whenever I make pancakes I still make her some. I burst into tears when I saw the family making pancakes for Lazarus.

I’m a dog person but I want to say that cats are just misunderstood. They can show love as much as dog but in different ways.
Edit: and of course there are some people who hate cats and try so hard to say how bad cats are. Cats aren’t for everyone, just like how dogs aren’t for everyone. Dogs are extrovert and dependent on their owners because they are animals that enjoy being in pack. Cats are introverted and independent from their owners because they prefer being away from people most of the time.
Just cuz a person is introverted doesn’t mean they are heartless or emotionless. They just don’t feel comfortable being with people all the time and prefer spending some time doing their own things alone.
But with cats, they cannot reasons like human do. So when you keep pressuring and harassing them into doing things with you even though they are clearly uncomfortable with it at the moment, of course they would sometimes scratch you. Cuz how else can they make you stop?
Like I say before, I am a dog lover but I am also an introvert. I have a hard time being around people due to anxiety and low self esteems. The reason why I love dogs more because they make me feel happy and even encourages me to go out more to get some fresh air. Seriously guys, stop putting down on cats and cats lover.
Just accept that some people just don’t like cats and some just don’t like dogs and stop acting like a superior d-bag just cuz dogs are more important in term of working with humans like police or support animal.

They are attached to me so much that they would follow me everywhere I go. And my mom would make them stay out of me and my brother (who was 3) bedroom because she’s afraid that cat hair would be all over our bed. Every night the kittens would meow for us.
Although as they got older and grew more “distant”, they still show me affection. Like sleeping on my lap, leaving me dead rats, and purring every time I pet them.
Also depends on their personality. Cats tend to be more independent than dogs.

Sadly, in 2020 Lazarus passed away after his bladder was blocked with stones. The vets tried to put a catheter in but they couldn't even do that. He is still a miracle kitty and got to love his family for 5 years.
Thanks for this. I went to their youtube and couldn't see anything about Lazarus anymore and I realized he was probably gone or something had happened. That's so sad, but thanks for the update.

Most wouldn't do this for anyone/ anything. You are right on. It's sad and amazing that a kitten rescue video can inspire HUMANS and make us all reflect on how jaded our fellow man (and woman) have become. I truly hope and Pray that everyone who see's this, along with other great examples, gives a little more of their heart to the world...WILL make a huge difference.

I have a little yellow cat who was pulled out of a frozen mud puddle by two Great Pyrenees. They bottle fed her and we adopted her, and she is the nicest cat I've ever known. She loves humans and big dogs so much!

No cats can handle the cold! That's why cats freeze to death and get frost bites on their paws and ears. They can even loose parts of their body :'( which is why I hate people sometimes. If you gonna get a cat, be prepared to care for it and treat it like a family member for (hopefully) 20+ years. Don't throw it out like a piece of garbage cause it grows too big, or scratches your darn furniture ,pees on your floor, empty your flower pots out on the floor or ruin things in your house. That's something you've gotta be ready for when you make the decision to add a new furry family member! They can also be expensive...spay/neuter,ID chipped, dental care, health checks, possible accidents etc. A cat is for LIFE! 🐱💗
Daisy Cocoa we once rescued a flame point Siamese and she was the sweetest kitty ever. She died young of kidney failure but she was the dearest kitty. We always said she must have been a hippy in another life cuz she was all about peace and love.
