25 yards to a surprised bear is too close! Y'all know that of course. I'm late to the party but enjoying your videos! I wish I was still young enough to hike that kind of tough country. I need trails...
Just watched parts 1-5. I've been hoping more footage of the GDT would pop up. I didn't expect a YoYo but I'll take it! I couldn't even tell that this video was filmed on an iPad. Cheers from Ottawa!
What is that monument at the end of the video? Seriously loving these Dan. With the music you chose this whole experience has actually been quite worshipful as well as inspiring! I think I have now committed to hiking the GDT in the next couple years. Also love that you've gotten a little more conversational with your camera on the SOBO haha.
Back in the early 1900's there was a BC/Alberta border survey that put those monuments at a lot of the passes along the divide. There was/is about 50 or so of them. You see about 5 or so on the GDT. That's the one at Miette pass.

Great work, Dan. Unbelievable scenery, outstanding videography. Jim Murphy (Bob Marshall trip, 2016)
Can't get enough of those wildflowers!
Amazing views! Thanks for posting these!

What kind of animal was up in the tree with the small head?
