For those coming from The Lazy Eyebrow Reviewer's channel, thanks for visiting, voting, commenting, and sharing. TLER has been an inspiration to me for a while now and I'm extremely flattered to have this ROADCRANE video shared on his channel. I hope you enjoy these animated transforming robot reviews and hope you join in and give direction to CARDBOARD BOTS. What gets reviewed next? - YOU DECIDE! Welcome to the show. Jump in, and have some fun.
Cardboard Bots cool video but this isnt supposed to be hauler..hauler only appeared once because hasbro decided to hold him back untill 1985 and renamed him grapple...(and note this guy is green not yellow..).this guy is supposed to be ROAD HAULER who did NOT exist untill e-hobby released a new range of g1 toys in association with takara in 2000.other "new" g1 bots from that range include the insecticon clones, sunstorm, megaplex, desert hound.
If I made you laugh at Trooper and Spike and Roller, than I've done my job. I had that song going through my head the whole time after looking roughcut withOUT any audio. I thought there is no way I would get away with doing it... RUclips would probably flag it! But then after sleeping on it I tried a muffled version in short snippets, uploaded it as an unlisted video and it passed the test.
Was Cliff even a good mailman? He spend a lot of time at that bar, drinking. So let's see where the voting stands: Tumbler=2, Mindwipe=1, and mystery box=2.
Cardboard Bots haha honestly you oulled it off perfectly. doing the muffled snippets I find helped to sell the idea of what was happening, made it that much funnier = P
This is probably the best Channel I’ve seen! You are such a inspiration to me because I started to my on Animations. Your videos are such good quality! And your comedy is so good! Your the best cardboard bots.
Elizabeth Green, thank you so much. I love hearing about people experimenting with new animation. Maybe we'll see your animations on youtube in the future! I often do check out the animations of my subscribers!
What an excellent way to start my Sunday!!! Thank you for the spectacular review. I'm going with mindwipe, as I feel that there may be more than meets the eye in terms of back story!
elvis ramon, What an excellent way to start my Sunday with such fine praise from you. Thanks for voting for Mindwipe. That's now 3 votes for Mindwipe, Tumbler=2, ?Box=2
Came over from The Lazy Eyebrow Reviewer I love the video man, you have great skill and I love the sound effects, transitions and the extra little skits you put into it. New sub. keep it up :)
Michael Zhao, Thanks for subscribing. I'm a visual guy first, but I've been putting more effort into the sound effects side of things lately. I don't quite have my audio levels right yet, but I'm working on it. If you like this animation you should check out the smooth TF animations that Graf-X Motion does: ruclips.net/video/SbgoVpzZh8k/видео.html He makes my animation look like primary school stuff.
Making stop motion animation gives me a way to "play" with toys again. Back in the day I loved the animated show, and now I can take the real life toys and animate them. It comes full circle. I'm glad that you like the matching. Thanks for voting. Here's the breakdown as of your vote: ?Box=14, Mindwipe=9, Tumbler=19
msol, Thanks! I tried out a few new things for this review. I always aim for 5-6 minute reviews but I always end up going longer. What do you think, should I make these shorter or keep them to whatever length they end up as.
msol, Glad you enjoying it and finding the time okay. I'm a bit wary of long reviews. Anything over 10 minutes on an action I am loath to click on it, but for masterpiece style transformers anything between 10-20 minutes seems reasonable. I'd like to make my videos tighter, more snackable, but I love tangents and gags and going off topic too.
This channel is amazing. A shame I only found out about it now but better late than never. That soft radio in the background as roller is driving around 🤣🤣🤣
I think hauler should go check on nautica, especially with those.......hand hydraulics. Great video, just came over from The lazy eyebrow reviewer. I'm glad to see someone else take the idea of stop-motion toy reviews. I would like to vote for ace tumbler
Slal 1968, Wait do robots even have...? Glad to see you come over from LER. What a gent for him to introduce you to my channel. Thanks for the vote, it's how we do things here. Here's the breakdown as of your vote: box=8, Mindwipe=6, Tumbler=9
The chrome is amazing. I forgot to say this in the review, but Roadcrane's hose hands are chrome - whereas Girder's is black. By the way, I'm a big fan of your animated bits when you do them and your Misfortune series is a laugh and a half.
Great review man, I really like the humor, and the Constructicon backstory as part of the review itself was inspired! I vote for the Mystery Box, and pleeeeeeeease change out the yellow light for a lumienescent one.
I've always liked the Inferno-Grapple mold. In fact I reckon the fire truck would have been an great candidate for heroic leader in the preliminary stages. But one thing that bugs me is that huge single window. The older look of two windows separated by some cab frame would look stronger.
Thanks. My range of videos is not very large yet, but I hope to keep making them as best as I can. Here's the breakdown as of your vote: box=9, Mindwipe=7, Tumbler=13
Dolkkar, thanks very much. It's a labour or love. With your enthusiastic vote the results get that much tighter: Mindwipe=4, ?box=3, Tumbler/Cliffjumper=3. It's still quite early, but I'll give it a week before announcing the winner. So much can happen till then.
Dolkkar, like you I've been considering taking out the "longer" transformations out of my reviews and just having a shorter "ACTION" transformation. I enjoy them, but they do take a long time and there's a lot to figure out. I always try to make the transformation as independent of support as possible. Sometimes that means planning things out so that the toy can support it's own weight... which means a transformation that is not entirely how a person would transform it. Would you (or others reading this) miss the transformation instructions?
I was considering removing them from mine. a few people complained I had them in. most people usually skip that, others visit Optibotimus, Peaugh or Emgo for their instructions (which is fine I guess, I just find thier instructions (due to hand placments) aren't always clear which is why I started doing it in the first place. honestly though, if you did skip them, look no further than Thew to see if people care or not (answer is most don't)
The Lazy Eyebrow Review, in a way the transformation instructions are the most time consuming part of my process. I have to figure out just "how" to best do it as if the toy was transforming itself. With Roadcrane I made several mistakes and and to redo his crane/backpack transformation twice because I got it totally wrong. Two or so hours out the window easily. There is magic in the transformation though. At its core, it's what defines the toy. Animating a transformation sequence can make a figure look easy to do... I think your Apollyon was sort of like that. I think most people would say that he is not easy.
Thanks! Playing it safe with a vote for Ace Tumbler, eh? Don't trust the box this time... hmm? I admit, I have no idea about what could be in there and I'm the one making the videos! So your the first vote for Tumbler/Cliffjumper. Mindwipe=1 vote, the mystery box=2.
Titan Productions, MP10 Optimus Prime is a very expressive figure and has a very good range of movement. I think you'll be happy with it. Someone in my area was buying the new Hasbro version from ToysRUs and was selling his Japanese Takara version for a little cheaper. I was very happy to have Roller and Spike play a part in my animation. In my display I have Spike climbing up Hellfire's ladder to get to Prime's shoulder. Is there any bot you'd like to vote on for the next review?
I know what your thinking: did he fire six shots or five. To tell you the truth, in all this commotion I lost count myself. You got to ask yourself: do you feel lucky? Well... do ya, punk?
EccP, I've subscribed to your channel. You got some good stuff going on and the more you do it, the better it will get. But fair warning: stop motion animation will break your heart
Ha, I don't decide, I let the universe spin the improv wheel. Whatever you folks decide. I only ever chose the bot in my FIRST video to kick things off. You don't have to vote, you could always just go with the flow.
The fluffy hub, I've been thanking him all night long. In three hours, my subscribers have doubled! The Lazy Eyebrow Reviewer is the real deal and I wouldn't be making my videos without seeing his first and loving them. What a gent! Here's the breakdown as of your vote: Votes: box=6, Mindwipe=5, Tumbler=6
There are so many amazing bots out there. It's always hard to decide. Here's the secret though (don't tell anyone)... you can't go wrong no matter what you choose, I'll try to make something good for you. Here's the breakdown as of your vote: Votes: box=6, Mindwipe=5, Tumbler=5
Thanks for subscribing and for voting... but you should know, I don't know what's in the mystery box until the very end. I suppose there could be a figure in it, but who knows what's inside. Here's the breakdown as of your vote: box=10, Mindwipe=7, Tumbler=13
Hello , i am new subscriber and i also like stop motion and transformers Your channel is awesome!, please don’t end about a week after i subbed like another stop motion RUclipsr i know of
Caittastic, even if you've just discovered The Lazy Eyebrow Reviewer remember that he has a long list of videos already made that you can enjoy even if they are not "new". I'll try to stick around, though I doubt my run will match the sheer output of LER. Thanks for dropping by and subscribing.
Cardboard Bots thanks for responding , it always makes me feel happy when i know RUclipsrs listen to there commenters. Anyway , what do you think of lego transformers?
Bit Bro, My what fine manners. I shall add your vote to the list with due haste. With your choice added Mindwipe pulls into the lead with 4 votes; the Mystery Box follows with three votes; and at the end it's Tumbler with 2 votes.
So, The Lazy Eyebrow Reviewer passes the 'stop motion review' torch to you. This was honestly a really well done stop motion review. Everything is so fluid and the visual gags provide a good laugh. I do have one critique though. Your voice. The delivery of what you're saying sounds pretty monotone and dull. It might end up causing some to lose interest partway through the video. But other than that, great work. And I vote for (not) Mindwipe.
Hi Ryan, thanks for the thoughtful feedback. I'm very much into constructive criticism and I'm glad you liked the video. You're absolutely right about my voice. I'll work on my delivery in the future and there's some technical audio stuff I need to sort out too. Audio input/output levels and I'm hoping to get a better microphone. Right now I'm just talking at the iMac (which is a terrible way to record a voice-over). Do you (or anyone reading this have any recommendations for a good USB microphone which won't break the bank? Also thanks for voting. Here's the breakdown as of your vote: ?Box=11, Mindwipe=9, Tumbler=18
You folks were up late. Not that there's anything wrong with that. I'm guessing it was baby related. You seem very quick and sure about your voting choice. As it stands with your vote it's a three way tie: 2-2-2.
What? Just turn up your volume! Just kidding. Yeah, I have to work on my audio levels. It's something that I struggle with a lot. I'm basically just talking at my iMac. I've told Santa that I'd like a fancy microphone for Christmas. Let's hope that I've bee good all year long as a better microphone could help.
@@wanderingoryx3710 good question. It depends on where the product is made, whether they are directly copying another's product, and whether or not they are violating another company's copyright or trademarks. Different countries have different laws. If these companies called their toys by the same trademarked names that hasbro uses there would be infringement. Same if they used the the automotive or decepticons symbols. It's a big gray area. Hasbro does not have a monopoly on the creation of transforming robot toys. They never have. The companies selling them cannot call them "transformers".

here I am, packing up my stuff, busting my gut over the muffled trooper coming from roller. top notch review man, never fails to make me smile = D

Also phenomenal review!

That 2 votes for the mystery box now.
Cardboard Bots the length is great. No complaints from me. Loving the humor.

I really enjoy all the inferno/grapple versions that I've seen out there. They all seem rather good. Even the small stuff from Magic Square!

Good eye!
Purple Autobot emblem turns this into SG Grapple.

Will Takara Tomy ever do Hauler?
As a masterpiece? They might do it if they perceive sales. They just did a back Cheetos, so you know they love an easy repaint.

Yeah, the LER jusr really really wants to see Tumbler win and mounted a huge campaign to make that happen. How smooth...!
Cardboard Bots well....I gotta win SOMEhow....= P
Do you have a Twitter or some form of social media that i can follow you on so i can see updates on any of your projects?
Nah, I'm actually kind of shy around social media. The best way for someone to get updates is to be subscribed to the CARDBOARD BOTS channel.
Thanks buddy
I subscribed to your channel, just before I saw your comment. I always check out my subscribers channels for cool stuff.

TakaraTomy needs to give Hauler the official Masterpiece treatment.
But if they do, Roadcrane won't be as special :(
Fine toy, but I'm glad I went with Wrestle instead. He is such a beefy boy.
I have the Maketoys inferno also. I can't get the front wheels to tab in correctly in truck mode

Awesome dude. Just talk a little louder

All these bootlegs
These are unofficial transformers not made by hasbro or takara tomy. This one is not a boot leg
@@CardboardBots isn't that still illegal?
@@wanderingoryx3710 good question. It depends on where the product is made, whether they are directly copying another's product, and whether or not they are violating another company's copyright or trademarks. Different countries have different laws. If these companies called their toys by the same trademarked names that hasbro uses there would be infringement. Same if they used the the automotive or decepticons symbols. It's a big gray area. Hasbro does not have a monopoly on the creation of transforming robot toys. They never have. The companies selling them cannot call them "transformers".
@@CardboardBots well they are made in china, and the uyghurs are subjugated to slave labor. Can't feel too easy with ethicacy there.
