But its possible Malleus (or maybe another fey? Mal seems the most likely) cast something on Yu. Not much evidence for Yu having magic themselves, but its something. For my little pet theory, its similar to yours, but maybe with an extra step. Its a pure guess, but I think Yu has a similar curse/spell on them the same as Grim. No one notices since it took STYX's computers and Idia to even detect it. Yu wasn't tested for such, and no has thought to look yet (as far as we know), since Yu is assumed to be magicless. Yu may have magic, but its so suppressed or concealed by the curse, it only manifests as unconscious scrying, something that the people of TWST either don't see as magical, or just write off as dreams (though Lillia, Ace & Deuce do show concern when they start having them while awake). Imagine later in the game that Yuu actually does have magic after all? That would be a crazy plot twist! If that's true then, kinda like Grim, Yuu must have some kind of blessing that seal their magic away that not even the fire lotus can hurt Yuu because the spell was that powerful, because it would explain the dreams of the great seven Yuu's been getting throughout the whole game. One, they canonically have prophetic dreams throughout the chapters, and in chapter 5 their visions start to bleed into their waking world. Plus, the instance in chapter 5 is even more significant because that was the first time that they had one of those visions away from the mirror/the dorm, Two, Yuu’s been speaking to Mickey through the mirror since chapter 3 iirc, and I don’t think it’s a solely power of the mirror or else Grim would have noticed the anthropomorphic mouse in the looking glass. Though, I do have to acknowledge the possibility that Yuu may have gotten that ability because they’ve been in close proximity to the mirror for extended periods of time, as it is in their bedroom. However, the vision in the last parts of chapter 5 kind of (imo) implies that Yuu’s clairvoyance is steadily getting stronger, and Grim doesn’t have any of the visions or dreams that Yuu has even though they are shown to share the bedroom. Three, Yuu and Silver are the only ones who managed to (sort of) escape their planned dreams in the beginning of chapter 7 by themselves. Silver’s UM is literally centered around dream hopping, but Yuu never even got to see theirs; Mickey’s dream was the one they went into by default. Yuu, at the very, very least, must have clairvoyance and dream-related abilities that they cannot control.

A possibility with Leona’s line could be that he was comparing Gidel to Yuu, saying that Gidel, much like Yuu, does not have any or much traces of magic on him/Leona does not smell magic on Gidel, either. That possibility aside, though, this is super interesting! I do not know much about scrying, so I never considered that maybe that is what Yuu could be experiencing and maybe that Yuu being around magic is bringing the ability out more, potentially? Yuu having some sort of psychic or scrying abilities would be pretty cool to have confirmed someday. (I had to backtrack to the second Halloween event because I remember the word “scrying” coming up, but it was in a fan translation. The fan translator called the mirrors that boys were given to keep in touch with the teachers while in the spectral realm a “scrying mirror.” The translator did include a note saying that more literally the mirrors were known as “people watch mirrors.” I had to look up scrying at the time, but didn’t do deeper research beyond its basic meaning, haha.)

I have my theory on that but instead of magic, Yuu eventually develops a power to manipulate blots instead. You cannot convince me otherwise about Idia's speculations back book 6 about What If somebody was causing overblots to happen in the first place. A common sentiment is how Leona picks up on details, but doesn't voice it. He might be trying to maintain the I-don't-care impression, which makes me wonder if he's secretly looking into them. He lets himself get captured by STYX despite knowing that captives don't return, so did it have anything to do with Grim eating blotstones? He noticed it in Book 3. Since he knew why STYX was there, he must've done the math & known Grim would be taken too (Which adds more questions to who tipped them off). But, in regards to this, it's better to consider Leona's opinions word for word, rather than not to. We can only tell if it's a throwaway line after the event gets localized, but there's definitely something going on. While I mostly agree with you, I also think: 1) Leona is sensing an impression of magic (traces from a past life as a mage). Or growing magical reserves that didn't exist before. His voicelines may indicate that Yuu was initially magic-less, but is developing something now. Which can tie into; 2) A third party with their own agenda, is working their magic through Yuu, hence affecting Leona's perception of them.

This is just my theory but I think Yuu's situation might be similar to Rachel from Percy Jackson. For those who don't know Rachel is a human that helps Percy on the labirinth because she can see through the mist(magical barrier) and she can see the path and danger ahead on the Labririnth. Although her ability is impressive, she is still a mortal, not a demigod like Percy. Maybe Yuu's scrying or visions might be like you said, like a rare ability but it is not considered magic so he isn't a magician,

I hope Yuu is 100% magicless. It would be cool if Yuu has "abilities" like being an empath. Allowing them to see and hear the (Hearts) of the people around them.
This reminds me of the au where Yuu is a jujutsu sorcerer, meaning they have cursed energy which is like the "magic" in the jjk world and the mirror could see that they have CE but since it's not the magic from the twist world it isn't able to register it.
I mean why would the school's horse couch even pick up Yuu in the first place if Yuu never or has small magic it doesn't make sense because people in Twisted Wonderland a majority that get picked for that school has medium to high tier magic and that goes for RSA to so why would Yuu if he/she/they didn't have a single spec of it?
My theory is that maybe Yuu is like Asta from Black Clover. Asta had no traces of magic but he is still able to use both demon and anti-magic. So think just theoretically Yuu might be the first to have anti-magic.
It's possable Yuu might have magic and he dies not know it due to the world he lived in before not teaching or believe in the concept of magic Yuu might get some form of magic later on srying could be one of his skills

A possibility with Leona’s line could be that he was comparing Gidel to Yuu, saying that Gidel, much like Yuu, does not have any or much traces of magic on him/Leona does not smell magic on Gidel, either.
That possibility aside, though, this is super interesting! I do not know much about scrying, so I never considered that maybe that is what Yuu could be experiencing and maybe that Yuu being around magic is bringing the ability out more, potentially? Yuu having some sort of psychic or scrying abilities would be pretty cool to have confirmed someday. (I had to backtrack to the second Halloween event because I remember the word “scrying” coming up, but it was in a fan translation. The fan translator called the mirrors that boys were given to keep in touch with the teachers while in the spectral realm a “scrying mirror.” The translator did include a note saying that more literally the mirrors were known as “people watch mirrors.” I had to look up scrying at the time, but didn’t do deeper research beyond its basic meaning, haha.)

You cannot convince me otherwise about Idia's speculations back book 6 about What If somebody was causing overblots to happen in the first place. I know he brushed it off but it just foreshadow something.

During their time in NRC and was involved in every Overblot incident, their magic is growing faster and stronger. But the end of Book 7 and the during the events of Book 8, they end of awakening their magic and Yuu gains the ability to travel between Worlds just like their Ancestor. With this power, Yuu can go home and travel back to Twisted Wonderland. But due to their inexperience of using magic and doesn’t have much control over how powerful their magic is, it would lead to creating a lot accidental mishaps which also include accidentally creating a portal to their world and dragging Grim and their some of friends (which includes probably Malleus, Sebek, and Silver) where Grim looks a real cat and Sebek and Malleus looks more human when they enter in Yuu’s world
A common sentiment is how Leona picks up on details, but doesn't voice it. He might be trying to maintain the I-don't-care impression, which makes me wonder if he's secretly looking into them. He lets himself get captured by STYX despite knowing that captives don't return, so did it have anything to do with Grim eating blotstones? He noticed it in Book 3. Since he knew why STYX was there, he must've done the math & known Grim would be taken too (Which adds more questions to who tipped them off).
But, in regards to this, it's better to consider Leona's opinions word for word, rather than not to. We can only tell if it's a throwaway line after the event gets localized, but there's definitely something going on.
While I mostly agree with you, I also think:
1) Leona is sensing an impression of magic (traces from a past life as a mage). Or growing magical reserves that didn't exist before. His voicelines may indicate that Yuu was initially magic-less, but is developing something now. Which can tie into;
2) A third party with their own agenda, is working their magic through Yuu, hence affecting Leona's perception of them.

This is just my theory but I think Yuu's situation might be similar to Rachel from Percy Jackson. For those who don't know Rachel is a human that helps Percy on the labirinth because she can see through the mist(magical barrier) and she can see the path and danger ahead on the Labririnth. Although her ability is impressive, she is still a mortal, not a demigod like Percy. Maybe Yuu's scrying or visions might be like you said, like a rare ability but it is not considered magic so he isn't a magician,

I hope Yuu is 100% magicless. It would be cool if Yuu has "abilities" like being an empath. Allowing them to see and hear the (Hearts) of the people around them.
This reminds me of the au where Yuu is a jujutsu sorcerer, meaning they have cursed energy which is like the "magic" in the jjk world and the mirror could see that they have CE but since it's not the magic from the twist world it isn't able to register it.
I mean why would the school's horse couch even pick up Yuu in the first place if Yuu never or has small magic it doesn't make sense because people in Twisted Wonderland a majority that get picked for that school has medium to high tier magic and that goes for RSA to so why would Yuu if he/she/they didn't have a single spec of it?

Probably because they have to be asleep for them to happen. The overblots happen over the course of days. These events happen in the span of one trip.

My theory is that maybe Yuu is like Asta from Black Clover. Asta had no traces of magic but he is still able to use both demon and anti-magic. So think just theoretically Yuu might be the first to have anti-magic.

Aqui vai: todos nós sabemos que Crowley pode estar fazendo isso sim, no entanto, ele não é o único com suspeitas. Há uma outra pessoa que também pode estar por trás disso, e esse é: o vice líder do dormitório Ignihyde.

Não temos nenhuma ideia de como ele se parece, ou como é a sua personalidade, só sabemos que ele é o vice líder. Nem os irmãos Shrouds, nem o diretor e nenhum personagem falaram sobre ele. Nunca apareceu na história principal e nos eventos. Nem nas histórias pessoais dos alunos. Nada.
É aí que vem a minha suspeita: pode ser que ele é quem tenha provocado os overblots às escondidas, ele pode ter enviado um aviso para a S.T.Y.X sobre os overblots, e pode ser que ele provoque o overblot de Grim (caso a fera quimera do início do jogo seja o Grim).
E claro, você pode estar se perguntando: como ele enviaria um aviso se a S.T.Y.X é uma base de pesquisa secreta? Calma que já vou falar disso (ou digitar) 😅
Pode ser que ele saiba dessa base desde a Era Dos Deuses, ou seja, ele é um cara muito velho 👴😅 pois poderia ser ou Chernabog (de acordo com o curta metragem e as lendas, ele é o deus da magia negra ou da escuridão em si) ou um dos membros da família Júpiter (pra quem jogou ou assistiu o livro 6, vai entender o que eu quis dizer). Anota aí, UM dos, pois nem todo membro de uma família é boa.
E por quê ele mandaria esse aviso pra S.T.Y.X? Porque se não, o Ortho não teria ouvido a voz do verdadeiro Ortho, e então não desligaria o sistema Cerberus, Idia não teria descoberto que o irmão mais novo estava lá, ido para o portão do submundo, e não perderia o controle do blot. E aí? Tá ligando os pontos? 😏
O que eu quero dizer é que, nem tudo o que vemos é verdade. Talvez o Crowley só esteja preocupado mesmo pela a possibilidade de alguém encontrar os cristais de blot e usá-las de maneira errada E ele é um cabeçudo mesmo deixando o seu trabalho para os outros (coitado(a) do(a) Yuu 😔).
