Crowley is either a mastermind who had everything planned to the milliseconds or a great idiot. There's no in between

This theory sounds like something out of a fever dream, but I'd wouldn't be surprised if it turns out is accurate

Time loop theory would also explain how, while 3 Halloweens have passed at NRC, no one's gotten older or graduated so far. It would also make sense if, since ALL the events can't happen in one year, some of them occur on different runs of the timeline (One run has Jamil and Kalim invited back for the Firelit Skies, another run is when Leona is called back for Tamashina-Mina, and yet another run is when Epel is called on for the Harveston Sled Festival). Meanwhile, events like the Starsending happen every time, so that Crowley's perfected the group to do it (Deuce, Trey, Idia, Ortho) in a way that puts on the best performance, overcomes the weather adversity, and makes people happy (Idia's wish just so happened to be granted after their specific actions). Meanwhile, since the events all happen on different runs when everyone's memories have been reset, it prevents too many of them from realizing they have the same suspicions and specifically looking out for more "coincidences".

In an interview with Yana (ithink or from the twst guidebooks) mentions that those events aren’t canon, still what you say reaffirms more the loop theory ^^

    • @thenagito
      @thenagito 5 месяцев назад +17

@@augusth3760 In that case, it could be that none of the events are happening on the current round, and have only occurred on previous ones (it could also be that the Yuu in those stories is a different Yuu than ours in the main story! Who knows!). Theories are just a fun time!

The time loop theory could also explain random cards we get sometimes (idk if it happened more than once because I’m only thinking of it happening once, maybe it happened more especially in JP)
Like fire lit sky never had Vil, but he got a card in the event. Maybe he was invited and went there in a different timeline

    • @thenagito
      @thenagito 5 месяцев назад +9

@@errorraccoon6169 You're right! The only ones out right now are Silk Vil and Harveston Jamil. It's likely that they're from different timelines where different people were invited, and it's leaking through via the cards. Different runs would also explain the two Fairy Gala events, where different approaches were taken for different, but similar outcomes.

@@thenagito There’s also probably the different bday cards. Bday suits was in one timeline, bday jackets in another, and so on

I absolutely agree - either Crowley is incredibly intelligent, calculating, and cunning, or is a complete imbecile, but there definitely is no in between.
I just wonder, if he is actually incredibly intelligent, why does he behave the way he does? Is it to throw people off and to not suspect him of anything? You know what, that very well could be… Just what could he be plotting in the larger scheme of things?
I love when you and other Twisted Wonderland fans cover theories, especially on RUclips! Some Fandoms don’t have many theorizers on RUclips, so I love it when there are fans who fill that gap! I hope you continue to make videos covering theories!
I remember Mari/Princess Macarons covering this theory a little while ago, which was my first introduction to it. This added more interesting points to it, so it is a lot of fun seeing fans “tag team“ in a sense when it comes to Twisted Wonderland theories!
If you are interested and/or have the time, it would be interesting to see theory videos either for: “Rook is a beastman/bird beastman theory (I remember seeing an ask on Tumblr where you left a link to it),” the “Dorm Leader Cater theory” (I am curious about how this theory came to be), or the, “Cater-Cinderella (Caterella) theory,” if that is considered one, that is. No pressure, though!

IF Crowley is using the students and the Overblot for something... What could be the endgame? Does he want to release a monster blot on the world? Or is he trying to bring one of the great seven (either malificent or the evil queen) back? It could even be tied to why he wears a mask nobody has ever seen him remove.
Or he's just a lazy-ass bird who doesn't think beyond doing the bare minimum, much like many of his students.

It's either this or he's an incredible slacker. I like to think that him and grim feed off blot in someway.

If Crowley is inducing these overblots to happen, if we look back to even Book 1 and iirc, he was the one to introduce to Ace and Deuce to duel Riddle for the position of housewarden which led to Ace acting as the catalyst that induced Riddle's overblot... which doesn't mean much for Ace though as a light user wasn't present acting as a catalyst for Leona's, Azul's and Idia's overblots, but I thought it was interesting to think about.

To be honest, I do definitely believe in time loop theory or at least the theory of Crowley knowing more than he lets on.
They specifically make points multiple times of questioning Crowley’s biases, as brought up. Sure it could be he sends more dorm heads because he believes they would help the school prestige, but I don’t buy that. There’s no way sending Idia, for example, would work out in his favor whatsoever, but Idia was one of the final people against Rollo.
Everyone of the people he sent worked well enough and had a role to play, even the ones that he sent that would make no sense going (Idia, any of the first years, Ruggie kinda, and rook kinda).
There’s also what you see at the very beginning of the game. A possible overblot grim surrounded by a destroyed place as the characters fight him. The hand pulling you through the mirror and the narration are both Crowley if I remember right.
And explicitly bringing up something causing overblots, especially on such a recent book like book 6 definitely means something. Chekhov’s Gun, and I doubt the Twst team would let something like that go.
My only thoughts on it are a traitor student/staff (intentional or not), Grim or Yuu causing them (intentionally or not), or Crowley
The only traitor semi-believable to me at least is Ace and maybe Deuce, but Deuce has no evidence and Ace’s evidence could swing either way.
Grim and Yuu are there for every overblot, sure, but they don’t seem to cause it. They do put things in place so it might go smoother, but it would have likely happened with Yuu and Grim there or not. Ace would have stolen the tart and challenged riddle, Leona would have felt like he was failing Savannaclaw, Jamil would have been second place to Kalim, Vil would have gone against Neige, Idia would be dealing with Styx after multiple overblots, and Malleus would have been hurt by Lilia suddenly leaving and seen Silver upset. Really only Azul’s overblot was something Ramshackle had a direct effect on, but even then Leona could have done it after seeing Azul mess with his dorm or really anyone upset with Azul messing with them or their friends.
Then Crowley, which is the one left. He’s being questioned multiple times. His behaviors of being stingy only sometimes seem to apply. He seems to show up in the nick of time or give the characters exactly what they would need. He’s also just shady and seems to know more than he’s saying.

there's could be a line if you really put the traitors theory + crowley mastermind in there. A lot of people don't like it because they get attached to the character and think that only Crowley is the one who's bothering everyone. Of course there will be shock in the fandom if that's happened. Anyway, i point it up Ace (because we don't know too much of his backstory compared to deuce but i'm sure we could saw on his dream.), Cater (big foreshadowing during his halloween card and the manga something going on with him.), Trey (i mean with his unique magic who terrifying and what his halloween card story tells...uhm...and do his shenanigans with Rook during halloween and sebek suspected something wrong with them. Idia too at beanfest event.) and Rook ( there's too many details on this one, the fact he's a bird beast and did a weird poem about the headmage... ) to be traitors with Crowley. But can be totally wrong over this but it's a villain game, so no doubt for me if that's happens for real.

@@cerisia8612 Crowley not doing it alone definitely makes sense. It is a big job.
My main hold-up is there doesn't seem to be a special connection between him and any students. I also just personally don't think there's enough of the nonfirst years, but that's totally opinion
I could see it going either way tbh, and there's probably more evidence either side
But what would be fun, it happens or not is multiple traitors, with Crowley or having their own goals (so it would make sense to be unaware of each other)

Also need to remind everyone of Jamil’s out of place rap solo in “Absolutely Beautiful” where the lyrics are suspiciously about “intertwining thorns”, a “clock that starts to turn”, “a cold suspicious gaze”, “taking damage”, “not being saved”, and “if the heart is real or counterfeit”

I loved this video!!! I've been a strong believer in the time loop theory since the prologue when an unrevealed Crowley is speaking to the player before they awaken in their coffin. We see the scene where they're beckoned through the mirror, it's not coincidental, Crowley intentionally summons someone but his reasoning isn't explained. The theory hinges on Crowley resetting the timeline when something goes wrong, and the first trail establishes that the player has a purpose in Crowley's plans. The first battle, a disoriented player and robes students against Grim's blot beast form, could be interpreted as speed-running the bad ending, or likely a vision of what Crowley's trying to prevent, the reason he keeps resetting the timeline.. Grab ur tinfoil hat for this part... I think he's resetting the timeline until he finds someone capable of defeating Grim's beast form we see in the prologue. He's a beast that can use magic and seemingly burn and exude blot like the phantoms, as in he emits it and is not affected by it. In book 6, we see that the students are severely affected by the presence of blot, and Crowley explains that gifted mages need to be particularly conscious of it. This could contribute to their inability to stop him. Beast taming could refer to finding someone with the patience (a personal connection that will connect to him) and ability (Not possessing a magic pool) to rear Grim before he becomes a problem out of their control.
Also, there's special mention that Malleus's magic is actually stopping time on Sage's island so I don't think it's a stretch if Crowley's magic is reversing it.

@@zillynfox i don't buy for just evil queen, she don't have the same power as maleficent in my opinion. against 27 students will be too easy to take her down.
Somehow the game give us some foreshadowing, in the second event of halloween, the students is trying to get glass shards (weirdly a bit like black stones) and rescue their possessed friends (like overblot!) and leona in his memory said they're gonna be invasion of ghosts who's taking the world but of course they did a disco ball at the end of the event but with black stones? yeah i see an invasion of phantoms in my opinion.
