Nicely done! This song wasn't on my radar, but it is now!
Thanks Robert, one of my favourites from Stevie Nicks for sure!
haha! this is awesome! do you have just a simple setting on your voice harmony or custom? good stuff!
Thanks for your positive comment. I use a TC Helicon GXT Harmonizer. Nothing custom my friend. I keep it simple.
Troy thank you so much for selecting great songs and your great teaching and performance. Rinse and Repeat. This is so helpful for us. No nonsense. Hey, if I have the Beatbuddy and a similar TC-Helicon pedal and a powered JBL speaker, why would I buy a mixer? The Helicon pedal has my designed presets for my songs. I had a TC Helicon FX150 personal monitor but it was disturbing my presets. I ordered the JBL this week. Do I need a mixer to go from the Play Acoustic and then to the JBL speaker. I am still learning all of this. Thank you so much, Troy.
An excellent question my friend. I use a mixer for complete volume and EQ control of my sound with my guitar, my Beatbuddy and the Harmony pedal. Let me explain....
The Harmony pedal is very simple and I too use presets. The issue there is when I engage the Harmony feature, without a mixer (using the volume limiter feature) the volume could increase dramatically causing the PA to “clip”.
My ToneMatch mixer can add depth and different tones to my acoustic guitar giving me more creative control. lastly....
I do not put my guitar through the Beatbuddy as most people do. I consider BB to be a separate instrument. I simply go directly from the BB output into the mixer. Doing this allows me to manipulate the preset sound from the BB. I can add more bass to the kick drum or increase the treble so symbol crashes have more impact. Sometimes I’m not completely satisfied with the preset sound the Beatbuddy has. Hope that makes sense!
@@myacousticlounge I think I got it. There is no easy way. It is alive and moving around. You have to find the sweet spot and rinse and repeat. Haven't got there yet. It is fleeting. I am a little pissed off, sorry with the TC Helicon support. It is not there. You cannot talk to these folks. They are too busy making new pedals. Sorry off topic. I know I need to keep it to the music. I bought the Taylor Mini for ease of playing. I lost the fullness of the dreadnought. Damn it. Folsom Prison Blues is gone my friend. It has a tinny sound. It could be the choice of picks and my strumming. I am working on using the Ipad clip and the pedal board. I feel like I am dancing. Sometimes like Fred Astaire other times like Fred Flintstone. I want to keep it simple with power and consistency. Whatever. I need to get a musician with me to see what I am doing. I can fix their Golf Swing. I am somewhat like a monkey making love to a football. I will look into the mixer. I am going to go and mix a drink now. Thank you.
@@myacousticlounge Hey, I will trade you my Play Acoustic for Your Harmony gx. It is in excellent shape. I got it just a few months ago. Just thinking. I am torn between buying their new TC-Harmony perform VG. I saw some of your units on Ebay. It is a gamble. Later
Hey Troy - great cover as always! Quick question - I have been playing with my Beat Buddy and I am struggling with the fills/transitions - maybe it is a timing thing on my part but I notice in your videos they are very fluid but when I hit the beat buddy to add fills/transitions it seems like there is a pause before those sections start - hopefully that makes sense - any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. BTW love your original music on Apple Music
Hey my friend, thanks for the kind words and support of my original music! The Beatbuddy does take a little practice to get down. My initial thought when reading your comment is your timing may be off a little. This isn’t a big issue as your timing will improve as you keep practicing. If I recall from previous conversations with you, I believe you just recently got your BB. It took me quite some time to be “fluid” with it. Now, as far as pauses in the BB timing.... there shouldn’t be any pauses but I know there are a couple of popular pop and rock beats that actually have a stops as part of the fill. Perhaps this is what your running into? At the moment recall which ones they are but I’ll email you back when I come across them again. Lastly, I am working on a bunch of different lesson video content for my channel. I promise you one video will be a tutorial on the Beatbuddy and I’ll be addressing timing. Coming soon my friend so keep checking in and keep practicing.
@@myacousticlounge Thanks Troy - love the channel and I really appreciate your timely responses - so cool - if you are every in Minnesota look me up and we can jam :)
