The benchmark also has some unique features when using the bridge element. One mode allows you to slide the pan forward and back along the bridge element to change the heat level. This is customizable as well for which heat level you want in each position. Bosch calls it "Powermove". The other allows you to not only use one larger pan, but also smaller pans as well. Usually you want the burner size to match the pan size. The benchmark is 4 distinct rectangular sections rather than 2 with 1 bridge element in the middle. It does mean you have to be mindful where you center the pan on the bridge element, but it allows you a lot of flexibility in pan sizes. They refer to that as "Flexinduction".

We’re building a house. I selected the Bosh 800 series 36” Induction. Wanted a wolf gas originally, but going induction instead. Found some good reviews for this unit, but I would like for you guys to give it a review. Move in date is June 2024, hope you can review it before then. All your reviews are helpful!

Sad to hear it, what other 36” induction range in that price range would you recommend?

I have a strange question. I have the 30 range. When I turn the knob to start the cooktop the light goes on and then off. I then have to turn the knob off and turn in on again to start the induction. Is that normal ? Brand new. Thank you.

Your best option, if you’ve got the coin, is to modify the cabinet and get an induction cooktop and a wall oven.

Is there a model that has no induction with bridge?

Most electric cooktops and ranges have expandable burners...no bridge.

Bosch makes a drop-in electric cooktop with a bridge element.
