I just received this kit. I don't seem to be able to power down the remote. The manual says keep the remote power button pressed for 3 seconds. When I do this I get no indication that the remote is powering down, like a final blink or something. And a quick press of the capture button quickly lights up the unit which makes me think it was never powered down. I would expect the capture button to do nothing if it was powered down.
When I attach the fasteners to the stick that comes in the kit, there is a small backlash in the place where the disengage is taking place, do you have one?
The Remote has a longer range of 60 meters and can handle up to five cameras. This shutter remote only goes to 10 meters and is only able to control one camera.

Doubts about compatibility of the remote with GP Max. On the launch product video, Max shows up on it but in GP product web page, it's not mentioned about it's compatibility (Just GP 11&12)...

Designed for a 360 camera! Hope this means the Max 2 is on the way for Ski season. Slow-mo 360 would put GoPro back in the innovation race. In the meantime, solid accessory that is similar to the Insta & DJI extension poles but with the remote. GoPro for the win.

I don’t think so. GoPro has it listed as compatible with 11 and 12

That was one of my doubts as well but yes it does! You just have to select the photo mode in the camera.
