These Real Estate Developers are really getting out of hand with the prices of these homes in Rwanda now! It's becoming just like Accra where the locals will no longer be able to afford goods, services and housing because greedy people want to jack up the prices of everything when they see Diasporans coming. It's only going to continue to get worse and worse if the locals don't put a stop to it and slap some sort of Regulation on it.
I think Diasporans need to educate themselves on the average prices in the housing market in these places so they know what to look for. Typically a nice 3 or 4 bedroom house in Kigali runs between $65,000 and $85,000. Now these Developers are trying to slap prices on these homes that amount to the prices you'd pay for a house in the US, thinking that most Diasporans won't know any better.

You're exactly right my friend. Diasporans need to be patient and build if the can. Even when you negotiate this property down you're still gonna pay too much. If you can be patient and build you'll get the best value..

You'd rather build a house for yourself rather than paying almost double..I recently saw another four bedroom valued at 700000 with nothing special about it only that's it's in nyarutarama..hell no people should start building their own houses this is exorbitant pricing

Very nice; four bedroom Villa.😘↗My favorites seen were the balcony connections to the Villa and the marble flooring inside the Villa, although it's truly beautiful shown in the different rooms of the Villa by the attached 🎥 video show.

Thanks Evelyne for a lovely presentation. I wonder might it be a good idea to include a frame in your introduction where you have the location of the property highlighted on a map with the name of the area. I always have to look up separately where the house is located and I don't always get exactly the area based on your pronunciation of it (not your fault, mine !). I notice that some of the finishing is excellent but then other areas leave a little to be desired. For example, the ceilings in the bathroom where they meet the tiled walls seem to be not well finished. As if the painter didn't bother to "cut in" when painting the ceilings. Also the outside area seems to be finished to what I would call a builders finish. Exposed concrete instead of paved surfaces. But then, the flower beds look finished and very attractive. Perhaps, its not completely finished.
May I inquire, if I wanted to build a swimming pool in the front or back yard of a house in Kigali (that has the space) are there companies that specialise in these kind of extensions ? Is it allowed always ? do you need planning permission ? or are there other restrictions (related to water maybe) which might prevent you from adding a swimming pool.

Yes the house is not completely done. There are a few things here and there that need to be completed like that bath tab in the master bedroom, the electric switches, and some the floor work outside. They are still getting that completed.
Yes you are free to add a swimming pool to your house and there are quite a number of companies that facilitate that. And since the pool will be within the house premises you do not really need any special permission.
I'll consider putting a frame containing all the information in the next video.

Is there any particular reason why these houses have so many bedrooms? I mean modern houses don’t need have so many bedrooms. Open floor planned houses with bigger bedrooms would be my preference.
Hello, yeah I understand your concern. Most houses here are built to cater for large families. We do have great developers who can custom make your home to suit your taste. You simply let us know what you want and we'll get done exactly how you like you. But this option is only available for clients who choose to build their homes. Hello Denis, thanks for the concern. At the time the video was filmed the house was still under construction. There were a few things here and there that were not set fixed however everything is in place now. The tabs, the lights and all the missing things are now fully there. The construction is now fully complete.

That house has a terrible floor plan. It should've had an open kitchen floor plan to create more space. It has too many walls which make it look like a maze inside.
