- After a waterleak nearly made me say bye bye to my precious gear, i decided to upgrade the homestudio.
Today i'm installing a new studiodesk to house all the gear that has survived as well as the pieces i've added since.

Definitely think vibe and acoustically speaking you’ll be better off putting it back at the length of the room. It’ll probably make it “feel” bigger too. Loving the videos brother, keep it going 🤘🏼
Hmm interesting! I feel the room is bigger right now as there’s more light coming in, but yeah in the length of the room might be a more sensible decision. Will def post updates as i go along!
I'm set up the way you are in the center of the long wall and I got my monitors 1/3 of the depth and some clouds and wall treatment. It is good because it feels like there's more space to move around and I think that's important.

I think vibe-wise that the setup in the length looks cooler. nice desk! Personally rocking a single bay (mastering style) Curuxa Customs desk which is very nice quality as well. lekker bezig

When I had my Chassis I took tape and covered the open slots 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 That was creative of ya!!!!!! I'm trying to make upgrades myself with gear!!!!

@@thomasvopstal Not always possible. Some of those hooks were rusted, or the windows were too small haha

Funny I was on reverb looking at the ssl uf1 sessiondesk today. RUclips listen to me lol.
One adjustment I would make if I were you would be if you put your speakers against the wall you boost your low end and then use your speaker high pass to adjust for the extra bump. The reason is to make your speakers not work as hard.
Yeah that’s exactly what i did, they can’t go any further back unless i take the treatment off the walls
you can have the best studio gear in the world
how ever your only going to sound as good as your room
the room is the most important aspect that is over looked

There is no music above 16k hz, just low pass before 16k😅
Keep it as is my guy, until you notice something that negatively affects your mixes
Try the ARC 4 Studio for finalizing (calibration)
