Just got done with a 400 build, seeing this beauty makes me wish I had spent a little more and got some more performances out of it. Amazing stuff Brent builds.

I like seeing the Cleveland style heads get the displacement they deserve in order to work at their highest potential. I agree that the intake is outstanding in design and the quality of construction. Kinda strange the $4000 price tag didn’t include a gasket for the top plate but considering the impressive looks with carbs and the important role it plays in approaching the four digit power mark on the dyno, RTV rules and gaskets don’t matter.
This one is special Brent, thanks for sharing 🏁

That's a beautiful engine for sure, that's what I'm thinking of doing, but I love my 302's so maybe I'll build a boss

Look forwarded to how you plumb the water neck. I have the CHI part but have been dinking with -12 AN lines and misc fittings

Was there a targeted HP for this build Brent? And what kind of rpm?

No way this build is under 800HP, probably 900-1000HP with the parts selection. I didn't see cam specs and don't recall hearing compression.

I do recall him mentioning "lobe lift" in a video where i believe the lobe lift was over another combination "advertized" lift at the valve or at or over .500" or lobe lift or probably .750" or greater lift at the valve or great in this setup. I didn't hear duration. But thinking about these things the combo is not under 800HP. Might be 1100HP.

So he has the CHI 3V on there, with the 463 ci build i'm assuming he went with the 242cc version which has 368 CFM peak flow with 327@.500" and 344@.600" lift. I have to imagine with the big build and the tunnel ram that perhaps they ported out the heads for more flow ( perhaps to 400+CFM )? If not then this build is going to be making somewhere in the 736-883HP range. Tunnel rams do squeeze another 30-50HP out of a combo that a good single plane intake can make and increased torque across the board, so i'm not really sure. Just curious if he had the heads ported?

You shouldn't assume and all the answers to your questions are in the videos!

I don't think that engine would fit under the hood of my 1972 Mustang.
