Floppy feet was caused by Penny’s “a computer… webkinz!” Moment which also caused the whole narrative to be about delving in his mind because of “what is that?” “It’s my mind” The GameCube 2 plot line also happened because of a throwaway comment. I love that they take by complete accident the WEIRDEST improvised statement to turn it into the focus of the dub, it’s just as glorious every time.

In the Vibes of Rude Mountain we get a parody of Markiplier realizing he is a parody of the real Markiplier in a parody dub of Until Dawn and that everything and everyone around him is fake and that their actions don’t matter because there is a set path for them all. Effervescent.
Don't forget Sonic 06 which explores the love triangle between Sonic, Shadow and Memphis Tennessee. Meanwhile Eggman creates the greatest game of all time: Fortnite. Also Sonic Riders, where Sonic realises he's a little bitch.
The fact he went from "Markiplier in Until Dawn" to "Markiplier realizing that he's PLAYING Until Dawn" then "Chase realizing he's pretending to be Markiplier playing Until Dawn for a Real Time Fandub" The slow degradation of the fourth wall was actually a really cool idea
@Saturno I felt the same way. The fourth wall getting destroyed was funny as Mike slowly began to peel back the fabric of his reality. But then the fourth wall just got straight up pulverized at the end and while realizing your in a game is fine ig. The whole knowing the future and having everything seem pointless kinda ruined the character for me. Or I am looking too much into people dubbing over video game cutscene and should probably go to bed
@@Mizir-pq7jf to be fair they had VERY little to work with on Mike’s end. The decision at the very beginning to make him mikeiplier probably saved the whole dub since there’s so little to work with, for more than half the game he’s either alone or his only companion is the dog.
@Saturno Mikepliers realization at the start was pretty great…. But once he began remarking how pointless everything was it just kinda ruined the rest of the story. Which sounds silly considering it is just a dub, but that’s just my opinion. Which is why In terms of humor I prefer the First Part because of the great improv. Whereas with the second part the only moment that made me laugh out loud was the bit about Mikepliers wife.
Guys, it all became full circle. Chase and Ryan became self aware and the characters realized that they are the ones controlling them. They were the controller. Just like the Kinect.
And it's so good, because Holly is inverting the normal meaning of that phrase. She's asking if Josh/Ryan is mentally and emotionally prepared to _wield_ that power, and the hubris it creates.
I love how these dubs begin with so little sense of plot until it reaches the halfway point where it starts to get so ridiculously convoluted, deep, dark and VERY meta
Okay but. Real talk? The lines, “Phil Spencer could walk on water. Chuck Norris could swim through land… But I… I could fly through death, bitch.” have NO FUCKING BUSINESS going as hard as they do.
No, like, meta jokes aside, Ryan's voice acting in this one is OUTSTANDING. That monologue he has towards the end with the vibes? Putting aside that it's about the reception of a RUclips video, the delivery is terrifying!
even worse: it's not obvious in the fandub, but Matt is actually the hardest character to keep alive through the whole game. You gotta make a lot of _weird_ choices in order to circumvent his death. The next hardest character to keep alive is Emily, the only other person of color, and after that is Jess, the one the story brands a Slut.
Holly's voice + Peter's face has me rolling. Ironically, I was more freaked out by the original character in the game and would scream in horror whenever he came on screen, much to my brother's amusement.
The fucking "I'll shoot you" bit at 59:14 had me dying laughing. The fact Chase couldn't keep his own laughter in and that it actually makes sense within the bonkers narrative they stiched together just elevates it to legendary status.
just wanted to mention this somewhat underrated moment at 1:22:15 Josh/Ryan: "what's your name?" Sam: "sam? _w h a t t h e f u c k_ " Red: "ᵈᵘⁿᵏᵃᶜᶜᶦⁿᵒ"
If I had a dollar for every interpretive work where Holly voiced a character who is aware that their reality is fictional, I'd have two dollars. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice
I guess she just has a knack for turning old men with a special outlier position in the plot into self aware gods, who heavily restrain their powers to help their charges. Gordon for Coomer, and Josh for Hill. The only difference is that Coomer manages to help Gordon all the way to the end of the game, even if a few issues pop up along the way, while Hill ultimately is unable to help Josh with his multitude of mental problems revolving around his realization, and they both have different views on their fictional nature, Coomer slowly figuring out and fearing, but ultimately accepting, his not being real, while Hill is well aware, and it's Josh who figures out, and goes mad as a result in his inability to just let the predetermined nature of his reality slide.
Makes me wonder how Mike's line "this is the joke I'm gonna be going with the whole dub" can be interpreted in retrospect given the direction his character went here.
The truth is he has been observing Fourth Wall for the whole dub. After Josh Manipulates the vibes into distorting reality, the characters's sanity and beliefs, Josh (Ryan Mitchum) and Mike (Chase Young) speaking to each other by Voice actors names as the result of them destroyed the 4th wall. While Sam desperately trying to restore the story arc back. Chase is even aware that he (Mike) along with Sophie (Sam) can't die because they are given the plot armor by the game as a main characters.
I’d just like to say that Mike has the same character arc as Markipliar did in real life, going from stupid goof to fully accepting his own mortality and also being a better person because of it
Top 3 quotes 3- "Oh my god! SHE'S NAKEY AND ITS COLD!" -Ashley 2- "I should've known that saying what that thing was would've made it leave... Just like when I called my wife a b¡tch and she left" -Mikeplier 1- "Seems like a super massive issue to put a black guy in this game and then not use him for anything" -Matt
Mike pulling a gun on Emily because the vibes are making him do worse things when he hasn't said anything mean in a while actually makes more sense the original game's reason.
@@JayFamTWH no it’s not werewolves, the monsters are wendigos that were originally humans that starved, ate humans to survive and became those monsters in the game.

They probably made some jokes before the recording and had it pulled up after prepping for the dub like in the Sonic 06 dub and the hotsauce thing with shadow
Im pretty sure Chase makes a joke about having a tab of chuck norris jokes open hes reading from. When he kills the torch near the start Edit: can confirm comment below. Time stamp is 1:04:00 or so, not near the start of the dub.
Just over an hour through, when Mikeplier is having a mental breakdown he tries to calm down with a Chuck Norris joke but remarks how he feels as if he just has the jokes open on another page
"Manslaughter sounds worse than murder; like I'm a butcher in some evil meat shop, and ground up a bunch of people to- (...)" - Gordon Freeman, Freeman's Mind
Mikeiplier losing his mind but still remembering to look out for his dog and repeatedly saying "hey doggy!!" with sincere enthusiasm is just. Great. Truly, the last thing we retain is our pack-bonding.
Everyone is understandably losing their minds at "are you ready to feel the wrath of a god, kid?" But for me what makes that part is Ryan's rapturous "oh my god, yes!" right after
i know right!!! ryan did such an amazing fucking job with josh’s increasingly unhinged behavior i was blown away by how his plot turned into this kid believing he could harness the powers of rude mountain like a god, and meanwhile his ‘therapist’ has godlike powers of his own as the therapist of the universe and they end up antagonizing each other over the stability of rude mountain josh is so far gone in that scene, laughing and laughing while dr hill tries to humble him, not even the threat of gods wrath can scare him anymore. hes fully succumbed to the chaotic vibes. ryan and holly both killed it in the therapy scenes holy shit
1:34:23 “Part one, I called it a raccoon puzzle… it was a wolverine.” This is the hardest I laughed the whole dub, and let me tell ya before hand my stomach already hurt.
If anyone was curious, Holly was referencing part 1 where Ryan said he was half ghost ("I'm actually half ghost, when you expect the vibes you kinda die.") and later he said he was a horseman. ("I'm a horseman, I know about horoscopes!") These quotes might be a little off, but you get the jist.
I had a dream that Mikeiplier won an Oscar and there was a massive speech about him surviving Rude Mountain, and I don't know how to feel about that being in my dreams.
DUDE the first time I saw this dub I had a dream the next night where I tracked down Mikeplier’s VA and discussed the cost of ascension with her. Something about the character gets into your head
@@somethingsuperbland8829 I feel that way about pretty much every N64 and PS1 title. I played a lot of that stuff and I have NO nostalgia for that era of gaming lol. PC gaming is where all my good memories are tbh.
i love the levels of meta understanding within the cast. dr hill of course knows all. ashley and chris think that they're both real people. jess, matt and emily understand that they're in a video game, and therefore need to use skill points and quick times to do things. sophie, chase and ryan understand that they are dubbing a recording of a video game for an improv comedy video. and then at the end regardless of what they know or don't they're all just happy to be there with their friends :') truly the best dub yet.
It’s also extra funny to me that Jess, Matt and Emily are aware that they are in a video game, but not what KIND of video game, so they act like they can power up or charge attacks.
It's incredible how they managed to rewrite the plot of the game. The park in the game (or Rude Mountain) is the place where the bad vibes of the universe come together so that they can be contained. And it's the containment of these vibes that keeps the universe and reality in balance. However, in order to keep it the environment intact, the vibes materialize into monsters that use more bad vibes to influence people, taking a part of their souls and turning them into monsters too. But, Josh realizes that Rude mountain is in fact an environment meant to keep the videogame stable. It's at this point that Josh becomes self-aware and realizes that they're in a videogame and nothing is real. When he realizes how their lives are fake and very limited, he tortures his friends in order to make them embrace the bad vibes and use them to manipulate their fates (the butterfly effect), but this begins to destabilize their reality altogether as Josh's actions are destroying the system meant to keep them in check. And finally, Dr. Hill is from the code of the game, trying to fix the problem by lecturing Josh on all that he has done and eventually solving it by leading Josh to his death. After surviving the experience, the group realizes how their lives have limits since they're in a videogame, and decide to make the best of it.
If I had a nickel for every video-game based longform improv project featuring Hollowtones as a Doctor with a demolished fourth wall, a Wikipedia article, calling its own format stupid, an ambiguously godlike older man, someone holding their friend at gunpoint for no discernable reason, a man that was born from a tube and a dog that can't die at Chuck E Cheese, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.
I already said this in a reply, but "Are you ready to feel the wrath of a god, kid?" is insanely good, because Holly is inverting the normal meaning of that phrase. She's asking if Josh/Ryan is mentally and emotionally prepared to _wield_ that power, and the hubris it creates.
that is a cool interpretation, I personally saw it as Hill, implied to be a deity with the "I'm the universe's therapist" line, promising to bring his wrath upon Josh for creating a situation in which he needed to utilize the butterfly effect
oml I love this interpretation so much. I always saw it as just Dr. Hill saying 'You may feel like a god but I'm the one with the power here, are you ready to scorn me?' but this actually makes Josh/Ryan (...Jryan...?) going "oh my god YES" make way more sense. He's not just so unhinged that he's excited about the universe's therapist beating his ass for some reason, he's completely disregarding any implication that he _isn't_ ready for this because he's too excited to hold that power and emotion. He doesn't even interpret it as a warning, he's taking it as an invitation. Thank you, that is some novel-level shit
Emily and Matt's "arguments" are so great. Just needlessly manufacturing conflict out of literally nothing because they can tell the characters are supposed to be arguing.
"WE ARE NEVER MEANT TO KNOW" IS AN EXTREMELY FITTING SONG CONSIDERING THE WHOLE MIKE/CHASE META SUBPLOT. OH MY GOD- I'M NEVER HEARING THAT TALLY HALL SONG THE SAME AGAIN.
I'm sure this isn't the ONLY example of a fandub's plot being better than the games plot, I would have to think about it more, but this is definitely the BEST example of a fandub's plot being better than the games plot.
Personally, the Sly Cooper fandub is a cinematic masterpiece compared to the source material. The game could've won awards if Bentley and Murray switched bodies, Sly and Bentley's grandmothers were revealed to be a lesbian Washington and Franklin, Carmelita was a reincarnated Teddy Roosevelt, and Sly and the voodoo crocodile lady debated the merits of Disney's Pocahontas.
Not to hold anything against the Fandub but, this one really isnt a masterpiece of plot writing,if you were to judge it as a real plot youd see that its highly inconsistent and has themes that dont work with each other. OG Until Dawn at the very least has a decent plot thats coherent.
@@ECODKyleskymast I didn't expect anything. Don't know what you're talking about. The guy who made this comment said that the fandubs plot is better than that of the original game. I judged it by how I would judge a plot, that's it really. Doesn't take anything away from the fandub, just find it strange to claim that the plot of the Dub is better than the original one. And if you start calling the plot of the Dub better and making it more than it actually is its only natural that it has to be judged as a plot. Which again, I don't think is a good thing to bring up for a fandub, so you should really respond to him and not me.

There’s something really ironic about Ashley’s final comments during the credits being that she doesn’t mind that she doesn’t think lack of free will something to worry about, but she gets cut off by the cutscene transition before she can finish.
my favourite thing in this dub is, inexplicably, Dyvonne's line of "[the two arm perk]'s stuck inside of me now... plaguing my body... ruining my organs..." the idea of having two arms slowly shutting down your like. immune system or something. is hysterical to me
can I just say, Holly had some really badass lines and did a ton of great worldbuilding. this dub probably had more of a narrative than even the RE2 dub!
Ok, straight up, this dub goes HARD. As someone who, oddly enough, first engaged with the game during Markiplier's playthrough, it's so interesting to see all the characters twisted into such different people entirely. Horny weirdo Mike becoming a self-aware parody of Markiplier and Emily going from a complete bitch to a generally clueless neutral character is such an interesting direction. Easily on par with the Sonic 06 dub making Eggman an aLpHa gAmEr, Elise a sociopath, and Shadow an insecure whiny twink. EDIT: I meant that SILVER was the whiny twink - dunno why I said Shadow.
“Are you ready to feel the wrath of a God, kid?” This one line had more buildup, more drama and more raw fucking emotion than the entire Marvel franchise combined.
I think my favorite acting technique that shows up in these fandubs (among many excellent patterns) is that whenever someone doesn’t know what to say, they’ll either describe an aspect of their character’s appearance or describe what they’re doing. And, somehow, it is so funny every time. It’s stream-of-consciousness acting. Fantastic stuff
It will always be so deeply funny to me that the dub has a recurring joke about Chris being bad with doors when (spoilers for the actual game) there's a way for him to die that involves Ashley not opening a door for him
I have to imagine it was some kind of debrief that happened off-screen after HLVRAI, with Dr Hill helping Coomer come to terms with the knowledge he now possessed about the nature of reality
Chase did an amazing job showing the mental decent of a person who is realizing that they are not who they should be and that the person that they "control" will survive till the end and so nothing matters. He starts as just a Markiplier parody and becomes this self-aware tragedy of a favorite character.
I love how in a wierd sort of way Markiplier/Chase's arc is very tragic. He plays into it well and eventually the humor is gone in his bit, but there is a tragic comedy in realizing there is no need for effort in your existence. That life is predetermined and nothing you do matters. I have to respect Chase's commitment to the bit and everyone's adaptment (or plain character ignorance) of the ultimate truth.
It's like the perfect opposite of imagining Sisyphus happy. Instead of finding meaning in a meaningless repetitive task, he realises that his heroism and his achievements mean nothing because he was destined to succeed.
Jess becoming self aware manifesting as “I thought I liked it when he’s mean to me, why does it hurt so much? Why does it hurt so much” gets to me every time 💔
1:04:25 “That’s what they call it in Britain that’s what they call flashlights because they’re a weird backwards civilization there” By far the best dub y’all have done in awhile.
I don't think it's been pointed out but the scene with Dan's Cliff kind of goes with the theme. Emily and Matt didn't give into the rude vibes and were polite, so Dan let them go with no fuss ("Y'all are chill, thank you so much", that might imply most people don't pass the rude vibes check).
Beginning: Gamers get stuck on a mountain with bad vibes End: Rude Mountain is an Eldritch entity hosting the whole universe’s bad vibes and our characters are stuck in a loop
"Isnt that right chase!" "Dont say that, DON'T SAY THAT!" *couple minutes later* "Alright, c'mon Ryan" I just fuckin died about how they made those characters just understand whats happening and how it was just a fandub 🤣
A thing I noticed is that, over the course of the dub, Sophie slowly started to dub Sam as she was characterized in game, just instead of rallying people to help them survive, she is trying to keep Mike/Chase from falling apart from the realization of their reality being a sham despite being aware just what she is in herself.
This is an overarching narrative from the Spider Man fandub, both MJ and Mike are able to see through the bounds of the Universe, Mike just went the extra mile
Mike went from a Markiplier parody being rude while making podcasts, to a Markiplier parody hunting people for sport, to a Markiplier parody gaining cosmic awareness and having a existential crisis…
So the spooky monsters were the "Vibes," which are what people with bad vibes turn into on that mountain. They create even more bad vibes that infect visitors like a disease. These bad vibes make you rude but they also break down your reality and you realize you are dubbing over a video game. It feels like freedom in the moment, but once you realize you're in a dub, you give up on trying to create a story from the character you inhabit, and you become one with the Vibes. In order to make it through Rude Mountain, you must resist the Vibes and not break the fourth wall. You need to create a coherent story and wrap up the plot by the end. It seems like some people can resist the bad vibes better than others. Josh was the first to get infected with the bad vibes, and it drove him crazy. He became incredibly rude, terrorized his friends, and tried to sow chaos into the dub. Dr. Hill, the Universe's therapist, was at first intrigued by how quickly he became self-aware, but soon realized that Josh was possibly the greatest threat to the plot he had ever seen, and began urging him to stop, to fix things. Josh was too far gone to listen. Mike was infected by Josh. He managed to hang onto his sanity, but became incredibly apathetic towards the plot as a whole, and tried to tell the others the truth, which would have infected them. Some characters had strong plot points to protect them from the bad vibes. Matt and Emily were treating everything like a video game. It was such a good plot, that even when Matt became self-aware, it did not affect his courses of action. Chris clung to his Xbox plot line for dear life, and it saved him, even when he was tempted by Josh. Ashley's sheer hatred for Chris was enough to keep her on the right path. And Jess had her podcast, which she held onto even after Mike was infected. Sam knew about the bad vibes all along. She knew that breaking the fourth wall would just lead to disarray and nihilistic defeat. She tried to get Mike to just go along with the plot, ignore what was real and just make it through to the end. But he didn't listen, and all seemed lost. But it wasn't! Though Josh was lost to madness, and Mike became Chase, those were in themselves, plot lines. Every character had an arc, which meant, they won against the vibes. It was a subversive ending that showed that even if you break the fourth wall, you can still create a good plot and wrap it up at the end of a real-time fandub.
"Are you ready to feel the Wrath of a God, kid?" works super well considering what happens to the real Josh in Until Dawn's ending Even outside of the fandub's timeline he is destined to suffer for playing God
6:47 - Markiplier told his fans about a week or two ago to just start writing common horror control tips like "Press SHIFT to Run" up in the middle of random places so this actually isn't implausible anymore
1:03:07 had to be the best scene in all of fandub history. This whole entire fandub was so good and will probably be one of my favorite videos of all time. The plot is actually existent, the climax at the end when the song kicked in really got me hyped up. Everything that was put into this was great. Like Mark... Mike... Chase said when he was talking about tying the whole plot together he thanked Holly and I agree they did a good job holy shit. Also the whole everyone being self aware at the end there (except for Chris and... Whoever Red played) was fucking cool.
At first I wasn't sure if it was really possible to reconcile the "characters realizing they're in a game/video" and "negative emotions affecting reality" plots but honestly I think they work together better than I first thought. Video games as an experience are intended as something entertaining and enjoyable, right? When you're in that state of flow, you become immersed in its world. However, when something comes along that disrupts your enjoyment (aka causing "bad vibes"), immersion is broken. That's my interpretation: the "bad vibes" have disrupted the sense of immersion that the self-aware characters experience, opening their eyes to the reality that they are in fact not real, and only the avatars for the people voicing them in the dub.
My favorite bit of the entire dub is Mike's journey through the monster dungeon with doggo. It's Mike's arc of slowly coming to the realization that the universe as he knows it is a predetermined sequence of events that really does it for me.
At this point I feel as if I’m going to watch a full fledged movie with this dub. These trailers and the music Penny made for these dubs are awesome. This’ll be worth the wait tenfold!
[SPOILERS] Mikeiplier really had me wondering if he was about to die, and/or if Chase was aware it was a no-death run or if a Mike death was about to just bulldoze him and he was gearing up to make it the funniest.
I'm fairly certain you can't kill Mike or Sam in the game, at all. Even if everyone else dies, they HAVE to be in the cabin to set it on fire at the end of the night and escape. So yeah even on a full-death run, Mike has plot armour.
I really can't wait to see what fandubs come next. This one got so meta at the end and holly's monologues really did help bring everything together and add some sort of plot. I love that even if it's just friends goofing around, they can make their own plots that are completely separate from the original's. amazing work rtf team.

And Mike is slowly increasing his awareness throughout the series, as he is the true protagonist
It’s also extra funny to me that Jess, Matt and Emily are aware that they are in a video game, but not what KIND of video game, so they act like they can power up or charge attacks.
And Chris is obsessed with videogames, despite being possibly the least aware of his status as a character in one.

Gotta say, I really loved Mike- no, _Chase's_ "It's all up to you Sophie. Good luck." at the end there. It just hits right, y'know?
The climax of this fandub was done so much more incredibly well than we ever could have expected and I kind of love it.

"that's not armor that's towel"
is literally my favorite part of this whole dub and i have no clue why
I absolutely adore Chase correcting everyone on the years game come out with no warning at all
can I just say, Holly had some really badass lines and did a ton of great worldbuilding. this dub probably had more of a narrative than even the RE2 dub!
She’s honestly tying it all together gg
Ok, straight up, this dub goes HARD. As someone who, oddly enough, first engaged with the game during Markiplier's playthrough, it's so interesting to see all the characters twisted into such different people entirely. Horny weirdo Mike becoming a self-aware parody of Markiplier and Emily going from a complete bitch to a generally clueless neutral character is such an interesting direction. Easily on par with the Sonic 06 dub making Eggman an aLpHa gAmEr, Elise a sociopath, and Shadow an insecure whiny twink.
EDIT: I meant that SILVER was the whiny twink - dunno why I said Shadow.
i think you meant to put silver as the insecure whiny twink
@@dogfish.dogfish Yeah, I did. Brainlet move on my part, lol.
Wasn't silver the whiny twink?
Wanting Shadow to be the whiny twink is a Freudian Slip.
It's interesting you read Elise as a sociopath. I saw her as a chronically overwhelmed space-case.
“Are you ready to feel the wrath of a God, kid?”
This one line had more buildup, more drama and more raw fucking emotion than the entire Marvel franchise combined.
How does it feel to say something so controversial yet so brave?
That delivery was absolute perfection.

And then Chase lampshades it in the final cave level right before Ryan dies!!
@@tatltails3923 YES I hadn’t even noticed that
It will always be so deeply funny to me that the dub has a recurring joke about Chris being bad with doors when (spoilers for the actual game) there's a way for him to die that involves Ashley not opening a door for him
it's a stroke of genius to put in IRL chase at the end instead of Mike. And holy shit, "Are you ready to feel the wrath of a god kid" had me STUNNED
This is bigger than avengers endgame.
Way bigger

the implications of dr hill and coomer knowing each other are terrifying
Perhaps one day that pendulum is going to swing the other direction...

@@INNERLMNT that would be godly

Hello Gordon
I love Friendship Kicks that are actually slaps in the face, Emily really knows what’s up.
The Idea that Dr. Coomer and Dr. Hill worked together once brings me immense joy, and i need to see a comic of this interaction.
They were married
@@flask223 No, Dr. Coomer's ex-wife was in the military.
@@VoidVoidVoidVoidVi perhaps as a medic? Aka.. a doctor..
@The Chaos Queen Dr. Hill took his wife in the divorce
Yeah but now I’m mad at him because how am I supposed to explain to people that my favorite character is from a shitpost dub of a subpar horror game
The Doki Doki Literature Club effect.
@@bashbashfulsson4540 that is a cool observation, thank u!
Jess becoming self aware manifesting as “I thought I liked it when he’s mean to me, why does it hurt so much? Why does it hurt so much” gets to me every time 💔

Why did I get genuinely invested in Mike’s breakdown and realization that his reality is fake? Amazing dub!

“That’s what they call it in Britain that’s what they call flashlights because they’re a weird backwards civilization there”
By far the best dub y’all have done in awhile.
Beginning: Gamers get stuck on a mountain with bad vibes
End: Rude Mountain is an Eldritch entity hosting the whole universe’s bad vibes and our characters are stuck in a loop

I’m pretty sure penny records all the gameplay
It was joy charlotte's gameplay according to the credits, I love when the lantern that Matt has goes crazy lmao

Mike-iplier is up there with Alfred-Eggman for me. This is so good.
Also Holly’s Dr. Hill lol

You should have said 114 years.
And I shouldn't have to explain why.
@Pedro Vaz aught 🤷♂️
“I know you have no opposable thumbs. But you’re still posing a threat to my forward motion.” Gets me EVERY SINGLE TIME
Mike went from a Markiplier parody being rude while making podcasts, to a Markiplier parody hunting people for sport, to a Markiplier parody gaining cosmic awareness and having a existential crisis…
This is a great comment
Holy crap this is an amazing dramatic retelling
Absolutely fantastic summation of the plot, A+
"Are you ready to feel the Wrath of a God, kid?" works super well considering what happens to the real Josh in Until Dawn's ending
Even outside of the fandub's timeline he is destined to suffer for playing God
6:47 - Markiplier told his fans about a week or two ago to just start writing common horror control tips like "Press SHIFT to Run" up in the middle of random places so this actually isn't implausible anymore
30:24-30:59 mike's entire dialogue here combined w the fact u can only see parts of his face through the grate makes it so much funnier
“please come get me i’m so fucking scared :(“
1:03:07 had to be the best scene in all of fandub history. This whole entire fandub was so good and will probably be one of my favorite videos of all time. The plot is actually existent, the climax at the end when the song kicked in really got me hyped up. Everything that was put into this was great. Like Mark... Mike... Chase said when he was talking about tying the whole plot together he thanked Holly and I agree they did a good job holy shit. Also the whole everyone being self aware at the end there (except for Chris and... Whoever Red played) was fucking cool.
Red played Ashley.

@@void_4871 Never Meant To Know, the cover by Penny Parker
"You turn yourself into a half horse half ghost half man. That's three halves you son of a b*tch!"
The therapist is the best character in this dub
Holy hell, Never Meant To Know by Tally Hall was legitimately relevant to the theme of this dub. Very nice.
[SPOILERS]
Mikeiplier really had me wondering if he was about to die, and/or if Chase was aware it was a no-death run or if a Mike death was about to just bulldoze him and he was gearing up to make it the funniest.
I'm fairly certain you can't kill Mike or Sam in the game, at all. Even if everyone else dies, they HAVE to be in the cabin to set it on fire at the end of the night and escape.
So yeah even on a full-death run, Mike has plot armour.
@@pineapplefrostyfruits9225if i recall correctly, you Can kill mike & sam, but only in the final scene at the house!
@@gorvamp Yeah, everyone can die, but Sam Josh and Mike are all safe until Chapter 10.
It would've been really funny to have Mike rambling on and on in the lodge until he suddenly gets cut off when Hannah slices him open.
I really can't wait to see what fandubs come next. This one got so meta at the end and holly's monologues really did help bring everything together and add some sort of plot. I love that even if it's just friends goofing around, they can make their own plots that are completely separate from the original's. amazing work rtf team.
