It honestly helps so much. It used to take me days for a body and now it’s a couple hours to paint and an overnight set usually does it if the temp isn’t to low.
Thank you for that bonding clear mix tip. My GT40 body is perfect but the durability is in question the more I look on the underside of the body. Now I know why.
Hopefully it will still hold for a while! The bonding clear for sure works great. Start light with it when you try it. If you over do it, it can make the gun jam more often so it can become a pain but still holds and looks great.
Thank you so much for documenting your painting process! It was so much fun watching how you painted my rc crawler from start to finish💜💜💜🔥🔥🔥I think it turned out way better than I imagined it to be! Thank you! Great job👏😘 keep creating and keep up the great work!!
Looks great! Thanks for the info, I’m about to attempt my first lexan paint job. I’ve seen on creatix tutorials that once you add the 4011 the paint then has an expiration date. Any experience with that?
Glad I can help! I do believe that is correct. I typically mix smaller batches of paint to play with different colors so I havent ran into that many issues with it expiring or going bad. I've started buying bigger bottles of paint as Ive gotten more into painting but then I mix smaller batches in 2oz or 4oz bottles. Thats when I add my reducer and my 4051 or 4050 clear intercoat. Those usually last a bit and Ill refill as I need too. I believe the reducer is technically just alcohol or some sort of solution with it and i think thats why it can go bad after to long. If you get a couple bottles on the side youll be able to stretch the small bottles of paint out pretty long:)
It honestly might. That’s a pretty good idea as long as you could get the right connections to a paint gun that could handle the Lexington paint. I think you only need around 10-30 pounds of air pressure so the cake compressor could probably handle it. Thanks for watching!
Nice job! What material did you use for the paint mask? I'm about to start painting a power wagon for my son. I've done tests with the Cricut removed stickers and when I peeled it the lines were not clean at all. I tried cutting around the paint masks before peeling and that just created other issues.
Thank you! It is just some basic vinyl I purchased in a bulk pack that seemed to work pretty well. I also had some issues with the paint sticking to them as well. I think the thick the paint layer you build over the mask makes its happen more often. It’s something I’ve been testing as I go. I feel like I’ve had the same issues with other tapes to. It’s possible you and I didn’t let it dry enough and the paint may have been tacky still so that’s another thing to look out for👍🏼
Great to know thank you! Like i mentioned in the video I was worried so I went pretty light thankfully! Ill make sure I avoid it next and give my self some more time to paint
@@SeanLewisMedia anytime tbh I watch a fair few paint rc bodies and it’s just with you using a pearl paint the metric of the silver really helps it to pop like when using fluorescent white is the one to use
There’s a link to the same ones in the description, I found them on Amazon and they have a couple different options for colors. It’s in the Parts used section in the description
I've got the trim dialed in to prevent any destructive rubbing. At full lock it does rubb slightly on the springs but its controlled and works great. To maximize angle I am allowing some rub. Hope that helps!@@chrispearce9224
Unfortunately that’s just what things cost. Luckily these are some of the strongest bodies I’ve seen in Rc. Go look at RC drift car bodies, they start around $60 and can go up to $180. Pretty wild!
I love speeding up a paint job with the heat gun. Makes a longer job really short time frame.

That dark purple is amazing. I sprayed some Gearguy’s Custom wheels with it. Best looking painted wheels I got.
That’s awesome! They have some of the best colors it’s insane.
@@SeanLewisMedia right and not hard to acquire either.
That’s a great point yes!
Looks fantastic. Nice job.
Thank you I appreciate it!

It’s so much fun when everything works out! I’ve definitely learned a lot over the years haha. Thanks for all the support!

great job, i have a cake psraying compressor i wonder if it would work

A little FYI dont ever use a heat gun on createx paint the heat can break the bond of the paint to the lexan only use cool air to dry it

Love the color but silver for the backing would work better
Thats a great tip, I actually have silver but didnt know that. Ill have to try it on one of the next bodies! Thanks for watching!

Where did you get the anodized washers that are on all the bolts?

Does the front tires rub those counter sunk washers at full compression and steering?

How am I just now seeing this? Lol
It was a mid week video I think lol.
Gd, $44 for that body, and so small, pro-line is a rip off or the hobby place you got that is,
