    If that’s the first time you’ve used an airbrush, that’s brilliant mate. I’m about to start using mine. I’ve got a cheap handheld jobbie of Amazon as I really want to learn how to airbrush but don’t want to go all out and get a ‘proper’ airbrush kit as I will only be using it in this hobby. Kaking myself as it took me ages to get reasonably good at using spray cans 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️😂

      The best thing about airbrushing is how fun it is! Once you've built up your army of paint colours, you can kinda go nuts with it haha.

    Do you have to fill up the cup alot? Should you use an airbrush with a 2 oz cup?

    • @HobbiesDirect
      @HobbiesDirect  3 дня назад

      If you're painting a large area maybe, but for an rc car body a lot can be accomplished with even just a few drops. The cup size wasn't an issue whatsoever in the making of this video :-)

      @@HobbiesDirect Thanks! I was thinking I had to get a gun with a 1-2 oz cup. So you can easily spray a RC body with just one cup of paint?

    • @HobbiesDirect
      @HobbiesDirect  2 дня назад

      @@Cranklotus It really depends on the paint and the airbrush, but expect to use 2-5 "airbrush-top-bowls" on a shell if you're doing it right.

    The body looks really good. Any reason you didn't back the final paint to block light saturation?
    Just curious about that point. Very cool video

      We usually absolutely would, but there's a future video in the works showing what different colour backing does to different colours. We left it out of this one for simplicity :-)

    I was not familiar with the brand of paint your using in this video. The adhesion issue with poly carbonate was information I was missing.
    Either hobby paint manufacturers or my bad internet skills, I could not find a data sheet posted on line.
    THANK YOU for Mario's insight .
    There was a Dart like this in my family for decades. My Mom bought it new and I think all the kids including me got our first driving in this car. Sometimes even Dad drove but he much preferred pickups/ Utes.

      He's the airbrush Guru! So glad the video helped, now it's time for you to track down a Dart body and remake the family car!
