Definitely a step in the right direction for Shapr3D.

Great comparison video! There are actually even more in Cadmio compared to Shapr you didn't mention, 3D environments, AR view (Shapr doesnt export the materials only colors), iPhone Viewer... to me Shapr's Visualization feels like an early beta to be honest.

I remain hopeful that the whole lighting (HDR, and regular lights) and complete AR will soon come to Shapr. I'm not sure though how easy it'll be to fix the material issues. It needs a completely different approach. Let's see how it all pans out!

Cadmio also added AR view in their latest update .
Shapr3d on the other hand has one MAJOR advantage. Being able to jump between visualisation and modeling and back without having to redoo the materials everytime.
You also are not met by a space restriction when placing the model or moving the view.
Both apps can only get better. Cadmio is in the lead now but I believe Shapr3d will catch up pretty quickly and even go past it. I also don’t mind using both.
Shapr3d for quick visualisation and USDZ export (when it arrives), and Cadmio for the most realistic renders
Shapr3d is aleady working onmany of the shortcomings.

Yeah I think in due time Shapr will overtake Cadmio. But no matter who’s gonna be on top having this type of competition is definitely good for us, consumers!

Light source in shapr can be adjusted in the environments tab, perhaps this was only recently added?

Can you add your own texture?

You don't mention that you can't actually draw in Cadmio. Pretty big oversight perhaps.

I find Cadmio to be more photorealistic.

Try Displaying a white model…. Let’s see how that works out for you. Shapr3D has a long way to go. It’s better than nothing :-)

Why would you compare a "Rendering tool" to "Design tool"? The rendering tool will of course be better, THAT'S WHAT IT DOES, but it cannot design a thing, you have to 'import' or bring in exiting designs, its a presentation tool. Shapr3D is a design tool with a rendering capability, not a full-blown rendering tool, not a fair comparison. If you want to compare Cadmio fairly, why don't you compare it to VRED or REAL or MAYA, or BUNKSPEED that would be apples to apples.

I’m comparing the previewing part of an app with another previewing tool. I don’t see why you feel this is such an unfair comparison.
Just because Shapr can do more than just preview a model doesn’t mean that the quality of the feature should suffer.
With that assumption in mind, Maya should be even less capable than Shapr3D because you can model, animate, render, simulate and so on. But that’s not the case.

Bro you do not know how to use shaper3d that’s why you think it has problems. You never clicked on The environment button. This is hilariously inaccurate information.

Bro look at the video creation date. Things were updated and improved since then. You are hilariously misinformed.
