  • Addi Express Messy Bun Drawstring hat.
    While surfing through my FB group pages. I came across a lovely messy bun hat made on the Addi by Stephanie K. I loved it so much It inspired me to do a versioon of my own. The ponytail pattern can be used on the innovation knitter, Prym or any other circular knitting machine. I used the reverse drop stitch braid to add a little character to the hat.
    Messy bun hat or ponytail beanie what every you call it. It will be and easy Addi Express pattern to complete.
    I personally love the Addi Express King and the Addi Express pro. What is your favorite circular knitter?

    I love the idea of the braids in the pattern. I made my granddaughter a messy bun hat with the drawstring a last week, then I see this video. Thanks I like things different. You are so careful to explain things also. Thanks again.

    Wow! I was looking for a long time to try to find a video like this! I wanted to make a bun hat that would be big enough for all of my hair. This is the first hat that I have seen with an adjustable string to fit my hair! It is such a cute pattern too! I love how you incorporate knitting and crochet!

    I love the messy bun hat that you made, thank you for sharing with us! I have the addi 46 peg loom and I love finding new ideas that look they won't be too hard for me to make. I will definitely make one of these tomorrow. I trying to get ahead of my Christmas knitting but right now the list still has me outnumbered. I am fairly new to my addi but not to confident yet so I keep going back to regular looms, hand knit and crochet. I will definitely be looking at more of your videos to find other things that I think that I might be able to do. Thank you again!

      Thank you. I am a crocheter at heart. The Addi has speed things up so much for me. Don't be intimated by any of my Addi patterns. They are all just tubes and Flat panels stitched together. I think learning the flat panel is the toughest part. Once you get past the the doors open up. I still can't make any clothes on the machine yet. eventually I will get there.

    Love this! I’ve been gifted an Addi King Size Knitting Machine for Christmas, but haven’t used it yet. Trying to educate myself first on the do’s and don’ts. Have been a little dismayed that it cannot do purling by default, and that you have to manually manipulate the stitches. Really appreciate your great video!!

    This is a wonderful demonstration. Thank u I always have a problem with the Prim it is always to tight to finish the Prim . What am I doing wrong.?? I just had the addition for two weeks.

    • @LittlejohnsYarn
      @LittlejohnsYarn  5 лет назад +1

      I think the prym has less hooks than the Addi does. The Addi has 46 needle. So I don't think you are doing anything wrong. the machine just creates smaller hats. You can also try to loosen your tension or try a different yarn

    I noticed that most people call the cuff of these caps a "brim". Google the word
    "Brim" and then "Cuff" and you will see the difference and which is which. Love this video. Very informative and well done.

      Littlejohn's Yarn What a kind thing to say! I am just one of many, may folks that enjoy this way of giving back. The idea came to me from a dear friend that was in the hospital fighting cancer. She was a knitter and weaver and I asked her if she would like something to keep her busy while she went through treatment. She said she would love to knit some hats for the children in the cancer ward. Now SHE was an angel. She lost her fight but I think of her giving heart often as I work on these little projects.

  • @janegoodwin1823
    @janegoodwin1823 5 лет назад

    it's not a brim. Cowboy hats have brims. Beanies have cuffs, bands or rolls. But not brims. Google key words Brims/Cuffs/Bands and you will get the terms with photos if you need to see them.
