You do a nice job on your tutorial. I agree with the 1 gal with said it is much faster to just leave a long tail and pick the stitches up off of the machine with the little red needle at the end. The more you do it the faster it will be. It's very clumsy at first though. I am left-handed and right-handed so I use my left hand for that and maybe that's why it's easy for me. I also have a very large head like your boyfriend and I bought the large Sentro knitting machine and it has a few more needles but it also has a bigger gauge. It makes a ery soft hat big enough for me! I'm Swedish/Norwegian and we have big Noggins! I do recommend the Addi, and I do recommend that Sentro because I've really had great stuff come off of both. The Sentro is very smooth running and quiet.....I love it!
Thank you so much for this tutorial! Super easy to follow for a beginner. I just made my first successful addi express project ever using this, only took me about 1 hour, and I made a beanie for Christmas for my dad in his favourite football team colours 😊
Thank you so much for the great tutorial! I received the professional and king size for Christmas and finished my first Bon-fire Beanie today. It came out great! Can’t wait to make the twisted headband next!
I think this is the best video for making a hat. I got a sentro machine because it's cheaper and has 4 more needles and I have a large head. Lol. No more slowly self-removing hats! Thank you for sharing how to make a hat. Oh and I think the front photo of different colored hats is beautiful.
Lol..ive had my addi for over a year now, I did not know there was a hole to put your sewing needle in. Thank you! I've made around 200 of these hats. I'm going to take them to our local food pantry to donate.
Thank you so very much! I was always having problems with the types of yarn...I will definitely try the Caron yarn... Great video! Excellent job in explaining every detail... I going to pull out my Addi & give it another try with the Caron yarn. Thank you so very much! Appreciate your time. Keep those videos coming!
Very good tutorial. I just recently purchased a small Sentro knitting machine. I wanted to try a inexpensive machine before I spent $$ on an Addi. Also wanted to make sure this is something I could do and also like doing. Looking forward to seeing more of your tutorials. Thank you. 😊
Great tutorial.. I’ve been making this style for 5yrs but never had a name for it. I have both Addi’s before there was a crazy for them. I donate the hats every year to the homeless shelter. And if I’m lucky enough to find yarn 🧶 dirt cheap then I can make more. Thanks for the tutorial..😎
Thank you so much for this tutorial!! I wasn't sure about getting a knitting machine, so I used a coupon and got the one at Michaels to see if I would actually use it before making a bigger purchase. And I made two of these beanies last night while watching Netflix and cooking dinner!! You are the literal best and keep doing what you're doing!!!
Thank you so much for this great tutorial! I just got a knitting machine and I was wondering the best way to go about making a hat! I can't wait to make one!
This tutorial is done so well. Thank you. I was trying to find a way to make my hats larger. I have the same Addi that you have. I have been going Addi crazy. Lol. Once again thank you. You have a new follower. Blessings to you ✌🏾💜🌹
I got a little more confidence after watching this video on using waste yarn. I bought what is considered a child's knitting machine - (name of it) from Target online - has 40 needles which for now is ok with me. I just wanted to tell you the operation of the one I bought is so similar to the Addi that I am learning from Addi tutorials. Thank you for your help...
Thank you for the tutorial! P.S. You don't need to use scrap yarn at the end. You can just leave a good length of yarn, make a round without knitting then pick up all the stitches off of the machine with a needle. Same result less time
I find it is much slower for me personally to lift the stitches from the machine. I can pick them up with my yarn needle super quick with the scarp yarn
Roxanne B have you used yours and made This beanie with the machine yet? I purchased that one as well but the knitting doesn’t come out looking the same..
@@Rebecca-xw6sz I bought the pink one, (SENTRO).. and this beanie tutorial worked great! I used LB Heartland #4 for the beanie, and a light weight #5 of another brand for the contrasting color at the end. 🤗 This is my fav tutorial so far!
I just ordered one..wish I saw this first so I could have used your link, sorry! But I will be making your beanie first, very precise instructions, very clear and understandable! You are a great teacher!! I will be back to watch more when my machine gets delivered!!
Thank you for the tutorial. I have both addis. I really enjoyed making scarves for my grandkids. My king size is a different story; the counter stopped working and I just have to learn to do some counting on my own. Looking forward for more tutorials!
Amazing. Thank you so much. My hubby purchased the set for me fir Christmas. I've been trying to learn how to use these and they are not turning out too good (to me). But, I believe this tutorial helps alot.
Thank you so much for doing such a great tutorial. I watched another video for this machine on making hats and while I liked that cast off better (I thought) this one makes more sense. I really appreciate this video because you took care to pause and get a close up of where you were threading the needles. Some tutorials don't zoom in and that makes it hard to learn. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
I loved this. I’m old school. I need to see things clearly yo learn them. Struggling with you tube. This was very easy to understand. My 1 and only hat attempt I messed up bad casting off. Still can’t figure out what I did wrong. This seems easier with waste yarn. I have a feeling I’ll get plenty of waste yarn messing up. I’d like a tutorial on attaching a Pom. I was told snap on tops were best. Mine have elastic I bought prior I was considering a button so it’s removable for washing.
Love this! Looking forward to my King 🤴 coming this Friday! So excited! I do hand knit hats, but wanted to be able to do some quick hats for donation. I’m working on #hatnothate blue hats so this will help me get some of those done. Thanks so much!
I just made my first bonfire beanie on my new addi machine! I did have to start over twice because it dropped stitches and I didn’t even notice🙊 BUT I love my new beanie!😁
I will have to try a hat with this yarn because mine came out so big with redheart yarn! Maybe I need to hold it tighter. This video was super helpful!
This will be my first beanie that I'm going to make on the addi circular knitting machine. I want to make it out of Kashmir wool hopefully it will work.
This was awesome to watch! I absolutely love the beanie you created :) Great tutorial girl! Have you used any other knitting machines that would be good for someone to try it out see how they like it?
Hi I been wanting to learn how to make beanies for my kids and I find you video very helpful I hope soon to buy the addi. I had a question how many beanies you can make with one yarn. Thank you for your video so much!!!
I have a Sentro, glad I saw your video now I know how many rounds to go. What if you want a different color on the inside. How many rows do you use for the top color. Tku
Thank you for the great tutorial. I don’t have a machine yet and I’m nervous to purchase because of the stories I’ve heard about non true Addi being sold. ♥️🇨🇦🙏
This is my favorite tutorial! I just made my first bonfire beanie for my fiancé and I'm so excited!! Quick question- do you ever wet block these beanies? I don't know if I need to. Is that something you do? Thanks!
I just bought mine a few weeks ago. I'm still trying to make an adult hat. They all come out small the largest I've manage to do is child size. I've tried not holding the yarn from holding it and still nothing. I've even let it come freely out from the yarn and that was a disaster! lol It did make me mad then laugh. I haven't tried Carron yarn yet. The losest yarn I've tried has been the ILTY from Hobby Lobby. Red Heart comes out tight no matter what I do. Red Heart Boutique came out good but I didn't have enough to try to make a hat so I made a headband. If you have any suggestions I'll give it a whirl. lol Thanks
I've made several of these types of hats on my machine, however they just seem so bulky with that fold up brim. Maybe since Caron Simply soft is a thinner size 4 yarn, it'll be better. Before I was just using Red Heart with love or I Love This Yarn. Thanks!!!

Thank you so very much!

I going to pull out my Addi
& give it another try with the Caron yarn.
Thank you so very much!
Appreciate your time.
Keep those videos coming!
I've broken my addi needle twice. Thanks for this tutorial! So happy with my hat and perfect time for Christmas. Thank you for this video
The addi is really a neat machine. Now, I want one. Thank you for sharing!😊
Very good tutorial. I just recently purchased a small Sentro knitting machine. I wanted to try a inexpensive machine before I spent $$ on an Addi. Also wanted to make sure this is something I could do and also like doing. Looking forward to seeing more of your tutorials. Thank you. 😊
I have the sentro big size and addi express. Maybe an unpopular opinion but I like my sentro better
abc_xyz_123 what do you like about it better? I, just curious so I know when buying :)
abc_xyz_123 Yea. I am in the fence about which to boy. Give me pros and
Cons

So glad you love your machine! Can't wait to see all the things you make with it!
I love my addi too! I don't feel like I see a lot of other yarnies on instagram with 'um. Beautiful hats by the way 😍
Just made my first Addi Bon Fire Beanie & it turned out perfect! Thank you so much for this wonderful tutorial!
Hope I can manage it in time, after having a stroke find it hard to take instructions in.
I Love This Yarn also works great on my addi machine. Great video.👍
Thank you Taylor. Enjoy all your videos and I certainly have learned so many useful tips.

Have a new Addi, my Christmas gift. Thank you for this video it sure was helpful and I look forward to more.
Thank you. I love the waste yarn at the end. Makes it so much easier.
This looks like a great hat for my son. This is the first one I’ve seen that I thought he might wear/like. 😉
Thank you so much for this video. Very clear instructions, you make it look so easy !! I will attempt this tomorrow. Carol

There are row counters that can be purchased and installed, try Googling 'row counter for knitting machine'
I received the king size for Christmas this year. Hoping to figure it out. Thank you for a great video.
Same here, but finding it hard to learn
Amazing. Thank you so much. My hubby purchased the set for me fir Christmas. I've been trying to learn how to use these and they are not turning out too good (to me). But, I believe this tutorial helps alot.

I love my addi and your video. You made so simple to understand 😊

This was an excellent tutorial! Thank you so much.
Great tut! Just got my ADDI and needed some useful videos. I will be making a lot of the Bon Fire Beanies. Subscribed and looking forward to more.
Thanks for sharing. I have one of the machines. I use to crochet hats, but this way is so much faster and easier. Love the video
Excellent project. Great video.
Thank you. Very informative. Thinking of getting a addi machine.
Wow, I love your cast off method, how easy. Thank uou
This was the fist one I made on my Addi, It turned out very good.
I loved this. I’m old school. I need to see things clearly yo learn them. Struggling with you tube. This was very easy to understand. My 1 and only hat attempt I messed up bad casting off. Excellent process. Thank you
Oh! We have the same name! Except my Lynn has an E on the end. I'm thinking of buying one of these and came across your tutorial. Thanks.
Love this! Looking forward to my King 🤴 coming this Friday! So excited! I do hand knit hats, but wanted to be able to do some quick hats for donation. I’m working on #hatnothate blue hats so this will help me get some of those done. Thanks so much!

I have had my Addi big and small for 2 years and love them
I just made my first bonfire beanie on my new addi machine! I did have to start over twice because it dropped stitches and I didn’t even notice🙊 BUT I love my new beanie!😁
Great videos keep them coming. I havent bought yet. But you make it easy.
I will have to try a hat with this yarn because mine came out so big with redheart yarn! Maybe I need to hold it tighter. This video was super helpful!
How many rows for a kids beanie? Great tutorials, you completely saved me when I got my machine!
I luv my addi n ty for this tutorial made my first bonfire beanie
Awe that is superb
Thank you so much! This was so helpful.
Love your tutorials! Thank you!😘
Great tutorial!
I just recently added a video comparing a lower priced machine to my addi, you should definitely go check it out!
Hi I been wanting to learn how to make beanies for my kids and I find you video very helpful I hope soon to buy the addi. I had a question how many beanies you can make with one yarn. Thank you for your video so much!!!

Aww thanks girly! Excited to make more!
Thank you for the great tutorial. I don’t have a machine yet and I’m nervous to purchase because of the stories I’ve heard about non true Addi being sold. ♥️🇨🇦🙏
That can be very tricky. You may be able to check out skacel who makes Addi to see who their verified sellers are before buying!
Thank you a great video. I’m hooked! I mean addi expressed
This is my favorite tutorial! I just made my first bonfire beanie for my fiancé and I'm so excited!! Quick question- do you ever wet block these beanies? I don't know if I need to. Is that something you do? Thanks!
I have never done it, but I don't see why you couldn't if you wanted to!
Thank you!! :)
I Love it! Thanks for share 😊
Now just to find a king size addi lol , ty so much
Thank you! Love the tutorial! I have the Kingsize one.
Do you have any baby hat patterns with an addi? I have the king size and regular express and would love a tutorial for some baby things
Very nice video.
So helpful! Thank you!

Hi! Thank you for this tutorial. Very helpful! Can this fit a male's head? How many rows for a guy's beanie? Thank you!
Love this tutorial!!!
Tks I enjoyed your video

Thank you!!!!!! You are amazing!@
Thank you for this video! How much do you normally sell beanies like this for?
Thanks!
Just bought a addi so excited to try this beanie... does it have to be Caron yarn thou?
I absolutely ❤️ this video tutorial. I wanna get an addi but the 💸 they want 4 it is crazy.
It is pricey but it is so high quality compared to other cheaper machines I have tried. It more than pays for itself
The legs don't screw into the bottom of mine for some reason, but definitely gonna use this when it's up and running
Great tutorial I just didn’t used wasted yarn
Great video....hiw do you determine which is the inside or outside of your hat?
They are identical so it doesnt really matter, I just pick whatever side has the most even stitches as the outside!
How often do you clean your machine?
Hi, Taylor! How wide is the finished beanie? I had the sentro machine and the length it's like you said, but I think it turns out a bit tight. Thanks!
i have 2 addis and a sentro i love mine aswell
Oh I want an addi express!
I broke needle on my
Addi 46 and was simple
And easy I’m not buying backup for addi 22 and. 46
Question I just ordered one, can you double the yarn on machine I normally crochet with two yarns.
You can use a bulky yarn (5).
I think it was be very hard on the machine to double up yarns or use yarn that is too thick. If you tried it and it worked I would love to know!
Addi/Sentro knitting machine working with problem yarns. That’s the title of the video where a lady shows how she uses bulky yarns on her knitting machine.
Have you tried an upholstery needle?
