Author of the XCOM mod, I was genuinely blown away at the amount of work that must have gone into yours! Creating custom projectiles, animation rigs, and good looking FPP animations must have been no small feat!
Hey! Glad you enjoyed my XCOM 2 mod! It was the first time I ever rigged models and was an important starting point for my path to becoming a 3d modeler. For anyone who is interested in using it, the mod is intended to be used with the "Invisible Heads" mod, and also features some melee weapons. Pairing with the "Primary Secondaries", "Dual Wield Melee", and "Tactical Shields" mod is also recommended to get the ideal canon loadouts.

Louis has like no good skins so I decided to just make him Onua for the hell of it. 👍 As for why there's no others - it's very time-consuming to create decent survivor mods and Onua was the only one I'm interested in.

Subspecies might(maybe?) be the right term. Tohunga and Matoran are just different words for the same thing, and Toa and Bohrok are just mutated Matoran.
@@heyheyitsjae2475 Not all Toa are mutated Matoran (for example the Toa Mata were created as Toa as well as Helryx, the very first Toa to exist) and Bohrok aren't any mutated Matoran, they only form out of the remains of Av-Matoran. The lore can get very specific in this regard.

my favorite bionicle set was Keetongu. Mainly because he was essentially a gorilla who reached toxin nirvana. He was a wise and noble creature but also freakishly strong and canonically killed a main villain in a single hit.

Voriki is fake. If I remember correctly he's a meme from the earliest days of Bionicle when they speculated that the 7th Toa would be the Toa of Energy, not the Toa of Light. Not gonna lie, when Oboe said "Voriki" I was like "who?" and had to go look him up. As soon as I saw "Toa of Energy" the whole urban legend came rushing back into my head from 20 some years ago. Wild times.
I was never allowed to play with Bionicle as a 90's child, which means I have absolutely no idea if any of what Oboe is saying it true, but he is so smooth with his references I don't doubt any of them.
As a kid who hyperfixated on Bionicle during his childhood, and still does to this day, I can tell you Oboe is knocking it outta the park with this one. Actually really cool to see a big RUclipsr give one of my favorite franchises of all time so much love, considering how little attention it gets otherwise.

i would like to shed some light onto an upcoming game made 100% by fans and lego themselves even gave them the go ahead and make what you want cause that's what they're about. Bionicle the masks of power. its gonna be a free game and its listing is up on steam now. the devs even released the entire asset package of every single lego piece they've created for the game for free for anyone who wants to make something too.

Why do the animations in skyrim look more natural with bionicles than they do with the characters they were made for?
Im guessing cause the animations fit more for a robot (i know they arent robots truly) kinda character than humans.

Bionicle Heroes was such a good, albeit simple, game. Fit the formula for the other Lego games too, but for whatever reason it never took off.
