I watched an illegal stream and it had way too many commercial breaks to watch this live. I think it's holding IndyCar back but these condensed videos are really well done
so far the new regs for F1's new era have solved a lot of racing related issues, but yeah indy has better consistency as far as how much actual racing you can expect to see.
@@willpine7343 power-steering was only allowed in F1 because without it it would have been impossible to drive any of the cars at racing speed due to how powerful the downforce was from 2010-2021, I do believe they're still in that realm of severe and potentially lethal driver fatigue from the force needed to wheel a formula 1 car around a track for 50-78 laps, finally the FIA has figured out the only way to solve the dirty air killing the racing problem was to reduce reliance on over-body downforce, only took near three decades lmao... it's okay to like both, in reality neither is better than the other it just depends largely on where you grew up & what you'd prefer racing to look like.
@@unfortunately_fortunate2000 I like how you put "FIA has figured out the only way to solve the dirty air killing the racing problem" when it wasn't the FIA who figured it out, they copied what IndyCar has been doing since 2018
I'm from Germany and I watched evey IndyCar Race in the 90ies and early 2000nds at Eurosport. But today it's almost impossible to watch the series if you're located in Europe. So I'm very thankfull for those recaps - keep goin!
These Indycars LOOK more aggressive this year… I don’t know if the teams are doing something setup/engine wise or if the liveries are just better, but they look fast!!!
Loved watching this race. Newgarden was tearing up the field and got crushed by that yellow lap coming out at that time. If he had 10 laps more before that yellow he might have stayed in the top 3 easy. Herta just got too aggressive going after Mclaughlin and should have been more patient he lost 5 spots on that spin or when he was in contention for a top 5. I thought that battle with O'Ward and Veekay coming out of the pits would be the deciding race winner. O'Ward was right on him coming into the pits he closed the distance. When O'Ward made the pass quickly after the pit stop I knew he probably had it, unless he crashed or ran into a crowd of traffic. The dude ran an outstanding race he had saved so much push to pass no way Palou was never going to get close enough to pass. O'Ward reminds me of Sato balls to the wall will always go for it. Arrow would be nuts not to resign him to a long contract.
About Herta, I think its a matter of when to turn it up and dial it down. His aggression was what helped him climb his way up so quickly, it was his impatience that made him misjudge the overtake on Mclaughlin. Ofc I have to recognise his impatience is what cost him and unforced errors have been a theme for him, but I want that aggression to stay, its what makes him so exciting to watch, being aggressive does not go against knowing when the time to overtake is right after all.
I'll be honest, I think Liberty should have looked at Barber Motorsports Park for the first of the two US GPs. It's actually such an underrated track. Shame it's in Alabama, and doesn't have the glamour and vibe that Miami and Austin has. Multiple hard braking overtaking zones. Lots of elevation change (reminds me a lot of Portimaõ). And 4 straights with 3 potential DRS zones. It's brilliant
Good Morning. The 2022 season of Formula Indy, so far TV Cultura (holder of the event in Brazil) only broadcast stage x and Saint Petersburg on 02/27/2022. The other steps were not transmitted. what is happening with the lack of transmissions? remembering that the TV station (Tv Cultura - Fundação Padre Anchieta) "renewed" the contract to broadcast INDY until the end of 2024...

Great race as usual for Indycar. Grosjean chose the wrong strategy. His squeeze on a teammate on reds who is obviously faster squeeze isn't a being good teammate. And the 2nd Rahal hit deserves a penalty.
least professional commentary team in motorsport. you don’t just go calling incidents ‘deliberate’ or ‘road rage’ based on one viewing when you weren’t even really paying attention before it came on screen. indycar is a great series let down dramatically by the clowns in the booth
These 30 minute recaps are excellent. They’re the best way to catch a race if you haven’t got time to watch the whole thing.
+ many of us overseas can either stream illegaly or watch this. I prefer this!
F1 should implement this too
As someone from the uk this is how I have followed indycar for 3 years

Barber is an immaculate facility. The race was pretty good as well.
best in the states along with COTA
Love the Indy Series, I’m an F1 fan in Australia and got more and more into Indy as the racing is so much better.
Not to mention you get beautiful road courses, Super Speedways and Street courses in the mix, in manual steering, for real men.... love it!

The cars sound even worse than F1, but at least they still refuel over there and the racing seems closer.

Beautiful day in Alabama...Congrats to Pato O'Ward and Arrow McLaren SP on your win.
I love Barber. One of the best tracks in NA, this car/track combo alwys delivers!
Amazing drive from Will Power. 19th to 4th is driver of the day!
The cars look spectacular going around that beauty of a racetrack!
Man those wheel guns must be really solid!! they always gets yeeted in every pitstop

I think it might have to do with the cameras, maybe NBC has more motion blur
Hope they get a new chassis with the upcoming Hybrid engines, they are getting dusty there so old.
when it said "under 30 minutes" i didn't expect it to be 29:59 lol
Well done Pato & Mclaren. 🙌
Id love to drive on a track day at Barber Park Raceway. That track looks awesome and the way that it flows 👀
I always watching INDYCAR, MotoGP, Nascar, WSBK, IMSA, Moto America and NHRA .......
America has got awesome race tracks, just like this one, and yet the Drive To Survive Series races at Miami Dolphins
What a beautiful track

I hate to say it.... I am liking this more than F1. Cars are much more equal and more personality.
Am I wrong to see Indycar as F1 in the 90s? I mean this in a good way, just men manhandling these cars, and may the best man win.
