This show just came to my mind completely out of the blue. I remember watching as a kid in the 90s. I think my favourite bit was always the opening theme. I've never been religious, but I remember enjoying these stories as a kid. So I'm glad to find them and will have to give them another watch just for the nostalgia!
i saw this almost 30 years ago when i was little, and i was mesmerized by the images. It looked like something created from another time, i was fascinated by this animation. I think back then when i first viewed it, i just appreciated it superficially, it looked really beautiful. Now i appreciate the poetry and nuance, it is a wonderful story, the animation is magical. All the studios today could NEVER come up with this gem, so much heart, just the right amount of restraint and elegance so the story isn't tacky cheapened or dumbed down. This animation retells the story of Ruth perfectly. It is the best retelling of Ruth i have ever seen.
I watched this as a four year old child and did until I was seven, but then I forgot about it completely and was reminded today when I was looking for the opening
I am a pastor of a church from Taiwan, for preparing for the Lord's Day sermon;watch this video,Capture part of the video,Thanks to the use, it feels very convenient
This is my favourite story my mum was Jewish but my dad wasn’t he converted when he married her and as a Jew by choice he loved Ruth’s story she was a convert and a great woman.
this was honestly one of my fav bible stories a kid, i used to watch this on the daily, it became a routine for me to watch this atleast once or twice a day i come back to it now a little older and its still as wonderful as it was
I remember reading the story book version of this animation back in Nigeria! like I am not even joking!! I was around 7-9 years old and the images always caught my eye. God bless you for uploading this.
I'm using this for my 5th grade (Jewish) Religious School class. Last year, the kids were transfixed. The claymation is wonderful, and the story true to the Bible. Thanks for sharing.
The reason why Boaz's son was counted as that of Ruth's first deceased husband Mahlon was because of leverate law. Tamar, Judah's daughter in law, was also a leverate law wife.
Naomi was truly blessed to have a daughter like Ruth. It makes me sad, when I think of how I treat my mother in law. I'm not bad to her, but I could do more. She told me to call her son after I got married to her daughter, I have yet to do that, our relationship isn't at that point yet unfortunately.
Hey I know that you put in a lot of time into these episodes, the more valuable. . Please make more just like Ruth,Joseph and Abraham I'll wait .Just please make more! :)
Love this, put these on DVD! Where can I buy it. I take really good care of my ten year old DVD player and I have a nephew coming. Praise God! Praise The Lord!🕇✡🕊💒❤❤❤❤❤🏠☺♾
Omg… I found it, the Bible animated stories that I saw as a child, I didn’t see all of them, only I think the story of Noah’s ark, Adam and Eve, and Jonah, but something I distinctly remember is that disturbing stare the serpent would give b4 the intro started, I am not religious myself but it feels satisfying to see something from my childhood come back
This is not scripturally accurate... It's 1/2 truths....Beware of taking it as truth or letting kids think it is the bible... Only by being in the scriptures will one truly know the truth...
I want to find a Biblical animated story from my childhood. It centers around a girl and her younger brother, he's sick Andrew Jesus heals him, but I'm not sure if he appears directly in the story. There's a pit/well, and she has to get water there, I think. The story ends with her coming home, celebrating that he's better, and the animation style is a little bit more...eastern? Like Japanese, manga style (I apologize for my ignorance), idk how to explain. Everything is from memory, so I might have confused a detail or two. Still, I'm kinda really desperate, so please help me, if you might. Please. Any hint or idea is valuable.
For me, Ruth represents the bride of Christ. She is faithful to her husband even after his death, staying with his mother and brothers (or next of kin). And she married the next available kinsman, Boaz, making sure his family line did not die out, and the baby Ruth gave birth to is in the lineage leading up to the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. The bride of Christ believes her husband died on the cross for her, and she waits for him to come back. She will remain faithful even though he died, and she will be found waiting on the Lord when he returns, taking care of his mother (the true church). Jesus said as he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples: Behold my mother and my brethren! [Matthew 12 : 49] The bride of Christ will be taking care of the disciples of Jesus Christ (the church, his mother) while waiting for the marriage supper of the Lamb, as Ruth took care of her dead husband's mother while waiting to get married again. For many are called, but few are chosen. [Matthew 22 : 14]
@@field16 WOW. In all of my years, ive never heard of something so stupid. Jesus did not have a wide and never will. And their CERRAINLY isn't a woman WAITING on her "husband" to come back to earth. JUST DUMB
Good story. I love the puppets. But what is that green alien demon looking thing at the very beginning of the intro of each episode? What does it have to do with the Bible? Is it supposed to be Satan? Why open the intro to a series of something beautiful like the Bible with a creepy alien / demon creature?
@@DireBeastRexYT Yeah that must be it. Doesn't look very snake like so I guess that threw me off. I see that this channel has about 9 of these stories from this series. All old Testament stories. Do you know if there are more? Any new Testament ones?
That ending made me cry. Because of Ruth and the grace of God, the lineage of Israel was able to continue :')
The Christ is a great man
I like your YT I subscribe to you Zion

See like in Esther, God is there we just can't see him.
And Thank HIM daily for His mercy towards us..
Why did they stop? This was a good series.
+C. Elizabeth Lucas From what I can tell, seasons in British television are not that long.
