I've always been confused as to why Judas is judged so harshly when Jesus himself told him before all of thus that he was destined to betray him. So you punish him fir doing what Jesus said was going to happen, with no escape or change.
The Lord, the Prophets and scriptures identify Judas as a Son of Perdition. In which even the Lord himself has stated will receive no forgiveness nor mercy, Judas is bound for hell.
