Long live the Sound of Philadelphia. This whole album is absolutely gorgeous. Beautiful music. A couple years ago I flew to Rome through Philly. As I'm walking through the airport I hear Teddy Pendergrass over the airport system. I thought how cool. Then the Sound of Philly kept on coming. It wasn't just that one song. They were playing the whole Philly anthology. The O'Jays, Harold Melvin, The Three Degrees, Jean Carn, MFSB' etc. That was one time that I didn't mind spending time at an airport.
Jean Carn is very under rated with her voice range she should be at the top of her game I had the pleasure of seeing her perform and taken a picture with her Jean keep doing what you are doing 👏 singing those beautiful songs 🎵
One of the beautiful voices of that time, songstress Jean Carn, accompanied by the magnificent MFSB orchestra, and some real chill romantic dancing by the Soul Train dancers. I know Jean says Don't Let It Go To Your Head, but this tune has me dreaming. Wish my wife and I could be there dancing like these couples. Of course, I just subscribed.

I remember when this song was released in 1978. As a recent college graduate from Morgan State University in those days, I use to listen to this song on WHUR-FM Howard University radio station. Jean Carn, Don't Let It Go To Your Head album was a part of my collection in those days. I wish I could go back into time because music back them was so much better than this RAP garbage we're hearing on Black radio. I am still listening to this song, June 12, 2023.
Wow, we used almost the same words describing this wonderfully talented voice. Remember or listen to Earth Wind and Fire "I'd rather have you" Power album that's her saaangin!!!!
I preferred PIR over Motown. That Philly Sound moves me! I love Philly so much. They embraced me so much when I moved out there from Bronx and North Philly became my new hometown. The music scene in Philly is awesome. I love that city. Good things come from Philly.
Happy SUNday, I just enjoyed this classic right here, basically let's not get gassed up. Amen what a great virtue. I wonder if in this day and age is it possible that a group of people could still get together on Soul Train and continue this great legacy. " Don't let it go to your head"
