If you look into from an mechanical perspective, the Sig does not have the safety redundancy as others in its class. I owned an OG P365 and a P365 XL and just felt very uncomfortable carrying it. The Hellcat Pro is for me. I will say the trigger is not great, but there are options to clean and lighten it up.Thanks for the comparison
One advantage the Hellcat has over the 365 is the trigger safety. Personally, I don't like the Sig trigger and feel it is a little mushy. The P365 AXG Legion fixes that, but now you're nearly doubling the cost. My summer EDC is the Hellcat. You can't go wrong with either though.
I thought the compensaters were about mitigating muzzle flip not recoil and the point of mitigating muzzle flip was to keep the dot or sight on target when firing consecutive rounds.
I am a Springfield Guy and for some reason the Pro has never seemed snappy to me... I am interested in trying the Sig for Comparison.. Nice video comparing the two..
The slide release on the Hellcat Pro (HCP) is easy to get to with the thumb, so less hand maneuvering. Feels secure in the hand. Another small detail is the recoil spring protrudes below the barrel, so if a press shot is needed, the HCP reduces the chances of it going out of battery in a critical self defense moment.
I almost understand what you mean, could you elaborate a little more about the recoil spring protruding so I could be better educated? Is there a model you could compare it against also so I could better grasp what you mean? Thanks in advance
@@MazzaJ I got the information from the article written by Massad Ayoob in the Armory Life for the HCP in 2022 (search it). Basically, if you press the barrel or slide back, the firearm is not seated. You want some hard object to keep this from happening if you had to press the weapon into something. I would imagine a mounted flashlight would have the same effect as it would give the necessary gap. On the HCP, the end of the recoil spring extends to the same distance as the end of the barrel, providing some hard stop. Look at a Glock 17 and the barrel extends the furthest, beyond the recoil spring as a comparison.

( Hypothetically Speaking ) Yuck how messy your shoes and shirt would probably be!
My thoughts on the hellcat pro….feels more like a whip crack because the recoil guide rod is brand new vs the X Macro that’s been shot for 1.5-2 years…also the trigger spring on the hellcat pro-pull probably feels heavier so ppl tend to grip the gun more=more felt recoil in a factory trigger…the comp on the X Macro is basically for show based upon it’s design
I r talked to a few people who have got to shoot the hellcat pro comp and they have said the Xmacro was better than the hellcat. I’m looking forward to getting the hellcat pro comp to compare to my Xmacro comp
Honestly probably not. The comp with the ported barrel in theory works way better then just the slide comp. I will probably end up getting both, but definitely getting the hellcat first.
Not a surprising result. P365 series is just plain smoother shooting than the Hellcats, and the triggers are better in the Sigs as well. I shot the P365 XL and Hellcat Pro back to back like this, and it wasn’t even close, the Sig is just much smoother and easier shooting.
I'll agree the sig is noticeably less snappy but I still hate the trigger. It's pretty terrible and I've tried every aftermarket option but nothing fixes it.
The number one thing that Springfield hellcat platforms have over the SIG 365 platforms is the thumb rest near the accessory rail. I know so many women and new shooters who when they are shooting any 365 platform that their thumb will slide forward or come off of the frame because there’s nowhere to really rest your thumb when shooting. Springfield knew that that was a problem and corrected it on all the hellcat models. That is a major thing that separates them. Almost every person that I have had shoot any of my hellcats that is shot any kind of SIG 365 platform has all come away and said they like the hellcat better for that because they could control the pistol better. Plus the 3.7 inch barrel with a port is far more effective than a 3.1 inch barrel with just a port in the slide. The hellcat pro is what the X macro and Spectre comp should’ve been.
😂😂😂😂😂😂If you're a good shooter and you're gripping a gun properly, your thumb should never come come off the frame during recoil. Usually it's people with bad grip that consistently have your thumbs coming off the frame and always have to milk the grip. Except if your hands are a larger fit for the gun, your thumbs should be able to remain on that frame.
@@mmafanatic-tz5or are you fucking retarded? Did you not read what I said or did you pick out what you wanted? I said women and new shooters. Do you know how many videos I watch on RUclips of guys who have huge channels like this that shoot and their thumbs come off the fucking frame? Get fucked bozo
You want good aftermarket support on the pro checkout lakeline llc. I’ve swapped recoil springs and added a gas pedal on mine which both help mitigate recoil over stock and don’t have the increased decibels & concussion from shooting a ported barrel/slide setup. Apex triggers on all my ccw’s anyway. Extended mag release and mcarbo titanium striker. Oh ya she’s dialed in baby!
I have a hellcat pro and my father has the 365x macro. Shot both this last weekend and the sig pinched the hell out of the meat of my hand while slapping in a mag. Hellcat definitely fits better in my hand. I do have a compensator on my hellcat vs no comp on the sig so the sig felt snappier for sure but neither was bad at all. Definitely liked my hellcat more. Put easy quick follow up shots through a quarter with the hellcat vs the sig so the comp must be the key.
Hey, just add some friendly advice that song for your channel is dope but the very last line says if you got smoke, we want it if you were to ever have to use your gun and self-defense they will totally use that line against you. Maybe something to edit in the future just Friendly concealed carry advice nice videos 💪🏼👍🏼👍🏼
First of all, she shoot’s better than me! She makes the thin snappy guns look easy to shoot. And secondly, yeah something about the hellcat design man that thing is snappy. It is snappier than the sig 365 series in all of its forms. So despite having a better port system, I am not surprised that it’s harsher
You navy seal guys get to me,about tripping over triggers, understand this, you don't need to have a light competition kind of a trigger, when using that firearm for a conceal carry, In a self defense situation, no matter how hard a trigger may be,it will feel like butter in a self defense circumstances, stop giving in the trigger hype, with you'll carry pistols, because even a straw of hair gonna set that off, especially if it's a pistol without any grip or external safety.Be cool dudes, and save that $300,400$500 on trigger jobs on you'll carry guns, now if it's a pistol or revolver that's not a conceal carry, it's cool,,but a pistol that's your carry, and has no Manual safety or grip safety, let that manufacturer standard trigger be,because in all actuality, that's the pistol extra safety along with keeping your fingers off the trigger
Any company, like Springfield AND Sig that's shown that their quality control & consistency does not prove itself across their entire line plants a seed of hesitancy. For edc, I'll pass on both. Great video, thank you🙏!
Watching y'all shoot, it appeared that there was significantly less muzzle rise in the Pro Comp than the X-macro... Maybe it was just me, but the Hellcat seemed much smoother. BTW neither of them comes close to the Shield Plus PC...
People will very their opinions based on their shooting skills and variety of firearms they have consistently shot. I love my macro, its one of my favorite every carry pistols compared with my smith & Wesson ported shield with the comp. Throw some high pressure rounds through them you will definitely notice the difference.

Ports and comps also reduce felt recoil because they reduce the reciprocating slide energy. So it reduces muzzle flip as well as makes the gun “softer
I compared the regular Hellcat to my P365 and it definitely has more felt recoil.
Not surprised the Pro has more recoil than the xmacro too.
