Such a great collaboration, its so great because freestylers can learn so much from figure skaters and the other way around. There's no limits to what can be learned on the ice. So good :)
I just discovered your channel about 30 min. ago and gave you a like on fb as well :) I added ice skates to my Christmas wish list not too long ago, because I haven't skated regularly since I was about 11 (I'm 30 now) and I'd like to get back to this once the pandemic is over, because I remembered that I was doing quite ok as a kid and this will probably bring some joy to my life. I find your channel inspirational/motivational. Keep up the good work :) Greetings from Warsaw, Poland
they might open them in the summer , assuming you have summer. Either way they can't be closed forever, because they'll get bankrupt. They'll find some way to open try rollerblading in the meantime ;)
@@eatplastic9133 I used to skate on rollerdlabes but after 2 years it's not the same. Other way I'm living in the city, so there are not many places to skate :/
The thing about figureskating is that you have to look elegant and pretty while doing tricks. Like when jumping, you have to look like a "stick" and witout bent knees... Please don't take this as anything harsh!!! I am a figureskater myself and I think that you did fantastic as it was the first time you tried these tricks. Good job!!! ⛸⛸⛸ Keep up the good work with your videos! I love them! They are both fun and you can learn from them! Merry christmas and happy new year!🎄☃️🎁🏳️🌈
Sziasztok! Tudna valaki segíteni? Mivel a Debreceni Koripálya oldalán semmit nem találtam a nyitvatartásról, így azt szeretném kérdezni, hogy változott-e a járvány miatt? Előre is köszi a választ!
Most tricks should be possible with figure skates. But I'd recommend you buy hockey skates if you want to do advanced tricks where you balance/rotate on your heel, like the V-stop or the triangle spin
No. Freestyle is an invention of hockey skates trying to imitate figure skates possibilities while maintaining stop and turn potential of shorter blades.
Figure skater beginner here (single jumps and spins level). If you want to do jumps and spins just go figure skating. I only envy the possibility of dynamic turns and stops. All else looks like monkey flipping on the ice. I've also tried hockey skates. 2 differences: on hockey you skate on whole foot, while on figure you skate like wearing high heels. Second is that longer blade on back helps to stabilize after landing a jump or trying to spin. Your body in hockey is forced to crouch while in figure you can be more elegant.
Interesting he couldn't do a proper choctaw and ended up doing a mohawk instead each time. It's funny because it's deceptively difficult, when you've never done it/are not familiar with the technique yet.
I’ve always wondered about this. Thanks for sharing! 💜 Also, mad respect for doing an axle without a toe pick WOW

Greetings from Warsaw, Poland
Good luck with your progress. I'll upload a video about beginner mistakes and one about exercises for better control soon!
I feel pain because in my country almost everything is closed, including ice rinks. :(
same here, for like 2 months. Fortunately I filmed 90% of the stuff for this winter

Finally. I love your videos man. Keep posting please
I’m so glad you’re making videos again and I’m so excited for the coming uploads!
I love this video idea bro! keep up the good work.
What a cool idea! It was so interesting to watch - thanks!
This guy is a madly talented athlete. I wish he would wear a helmet. Smacking the ice too often with your head can leave you drooling or parkonsonian.
Great one worth chapter two! Love the penguin to Axel and penguin again! (Thank you both)
Lol finally your session, awesome vids, try rollerblading thats so good. I watch u like 6years lol
The figure skater likes Hanyu's moves.....i can feel..... eagle into axel, then out into eagle?...and side lunge.. Hanyu's signature moves!!!

Respect! Go on I really like your vids
Thanks, that's the plan for the winter!
Learned spiderman seeing you skate, now trying to do hawk stop, still having a hard time
that's the beauty of it :)

En is megorulok kori nelkul lassan
@2:40 the basic stuff you are missing is that you have to rotate with your hip. If you turn your hip your feet will follow automatically.
I'm figure skating since February and Spiderman is my favorite figure 😂
Great video.
Мужик в синем вообще красавчик
when he mentioned the saudi guys, as a saudi i felt so fucking proud
Nice
I wanted to ask if I can freestyle with my figure skates bc i dont have hockey scates?

This looks like my local ice rink in the UK
That very much can be, Paul is filming in the UK
@@NagyerdeiKorisok I'm absolutely sure that's my local rink as seen him what awesome thing you guys did small world hey
I love doing freestyle #UK
én imádom a freestylt 10 éves vagyok de nagyon jol megy
Heel drag seems like an easier version of eagle.
I dunno. Eagle is not that hard, it's probably the first real trick that people learn on ice

wohoho, 4:28 that thing is spicy :D like invisible chair. sit in the air
The guy's name is Ahmed Baghlaf, unfortunately he barely posts anything on RUclips

I am building up my grapevine,.....in figure skates only....
