    That's a cool list, thanks for the video 👍🏻. I can only do the groundtouch and the hawk stop from here but I want to learn more of them because they look cool 😅

    That’s incredible. Where do you learn all of the skills?

    • @AlpineIceFreestyle

      I see them and teach them myself most of the time.

    The hawk stop is bad ass! Can’t wait to see your breaking video on this.

    I have been skating on hockey skates since I was 2. I just discovered your channel and "freestyle skating" because my son is 2 and I am teaching him to ice skate.
    I can do mild versions of a lot.of your moves, because we would always pretend like we were about to fall when we were horsing around ar hockey practice. But a lot of what you are doing is amazing and beyond what I knew was possible.
    Can you please tell me how your skate profiles compare to a standard ice hockey skate profile? Are they flatter? Like halfway between hockey and figure skates?
    Thank you for the beautiful and inspiring videos! The old school raver in me wants to learn to do this.

      Thx for your nice comment😃
      My skates are the opposite of flat. Its like a half circle touching the ice just with a few centimeters to be that agile.

      Not sure if that'll answer your question but I skate freestyle in the US (barely anyone does here), am a taller guy (6'3") with a lean build, currently running an 11 foot hockey profile with a 3/8" hollow.

    For now I can only do eights and the outside edge crossover stop, so time to get to work

    For the hawk, if your strong leg is the left side (as is my case) for stopping should your left leg be the top of the T or in the back and if it’s the top of the T should my left foot face left. Im not sure which side is your dominant side when you skate so it’s hard to determine which way I need to do things.

      The skate that is in the Front when you do a Hockey stop, should be the top of the T.

    Any tips how to do inward toe stop ? I am gliding for a while but after that I lose balance because my skates bite too deep or I am not able to stop completely.

    respect for your group skill level! when you order your t-blades runners do you specify a specific hollow or profiling?

    • @AlpineIceFreestyle
      @AlpineIceFreestyle  2 года назад +3

      Thx mate.
      Most freestylers prefer a S radius and a hollow of 9. I prefer S11

    • @tomciras6672
      @tomciras6672 2 года назад +2

      I figured hollow of 9 means 9mm which is almost 3/8" radii not good for me at 170lbs. I need at least 13mm hollow which is 1/2 inch. 15 and up is for skaters 200lbs+ I could be wrong, I'm new to t-blade but love it so far

    • @CasperCarver
      @CasperCarver 2 года назад

      @@tomciras6672 I'm using Bauer Supremes with a 9' radius. So I just got my skates profiled and I'm 175lbs. Prosharp Ellipse Zero, minor pitch forward and a 5/8 hollow. Blown away by the feel. I'm still a bit confused why anyone who could get thier skates sharpened locally would choose T-Blades?

    • @AlpineIceFreestyle
      @AlpineIceFreestyle  2 года назад

      @@tomciras6672 I have way more than 200lbs and love 11s xD
      It´s more about what feels good for you. i really dont like 9s for example so depending on the weight you are definitely not wrong
