It's interesting....everyone complains about the look of the headstock...but...honestly, I like it....different strokes for different folks, I guess...
Hated it too before but it grew on me haha

Just purchased a Coastline Momentum from Sweetwater, very happy with the sound, playability and price!
I have played my Seagull Entourage Mini Jumbo Rustic for several years now. It is reliable, and stays in tune. Cedar Top, Wild Cherry back and sides. I am happy with it. I added the Fishman Presys preamp/tuner. Sounds good direct inject, and plugged into an amp; and sounds good using a nice microphone like the AKG....
I’m a beginner with very large hands and fingers. One of the reasons why the guitar was chosen for me. I love this guitar. Great review. Thank you
That guitar has a cedar top? Looks like spruce.
I have two seagulls and love them. I agree they came with high action, but disagree that they were easy to play that way. I lowered the action and their playability improved significantly. I would not suggest living with the high action. Have a proper setup done and you'll have a great sounding guitar that plays like butter.

No mention on what for me is the most important feature, i.e. the 1.8" nut width. I would buy one for that reason alone. The wider the better for me!
That is the only reason I would never buy one.
That guitar only comes in 1.72. Just bought one. Love it.
I believe it's only 1.72 on this model, which is why I won't buy it, I want the 1.8 as well. I think they started with 1.8 and moved to 1.72 for this model or something, because I'm finding mixed info on the specs.
All the headstock yap and straight sting theory.. whippy do. pick it up play it. feels good in your hands then get it. Local shop had zero financing on Gibson . I was looking at the J-35.. not much difference in the sound. The Gibson was a little prettier, I walked out with the Seagull today Why. I'm Canadian and believe in buying Canadian first but the price difference wasn't warranted by the sound difference
Great review. What tuning are you using? I'd swear you are playing with the high E tuned up a half-step, based on your finger placement.
I recently sold my lovely alvarez ag75..beautiful tone but once I played the s6 1.8inch burnt amber it blew me away..
The seagull is my 5th guitar in 10 years on and off..
its the best guitar for tone Ive owned..now im looking at a second seagull like the coastline..but only if it has a 1.8

What strings are you using for this guitar on this video? It sounds amazing
try elixir phosphor bronze nanoweb 12-53. clear and brings a bit of brightness to the warm body.
is the body bigger than the s6?
It's essentially a dressed up S6 with the gloss top and soundhole controls
Is it solid top or laminated? I must have missed it?

What do you think about the action? I just bought one, love the sound but I find it a bit hard to play.
They're inconsistent some come with a good low action and some don't
Subscribed! One quick question: the local salesman loves Seagulls and always praises the satin finish, claiming it is thinner and lets the guitar "sing." The Coastline Momentum has a gloss top - is this truly a thicker finish than other Seagulls or is satin vs. gloss more of a personal preference?
The coastline does not have a gloss top. Seagull said that it only appears this way because of a new polishing technique they use. So the sound should not be affected 😁
Is it solid wild cherry?
No.
How is this different from the S6?
Aside from asthetics, the main difference I've notice is that the coastline momentum has a slightly smaller neck at 1.72 VS the 1.8" of the original
Is it a nitro finish?
High Gloss. I don't think nitro, but I could be wrong.

This excuse for the laminated, ultra skinny headstock is hard to swallow, it is surely a cost cutting thing, resulting in much less wasted wood. Normal headstocks are universal and are not problematic.
You might be right but it may just be a practical reason.
You're not right. They stay in tune fantastically in big part because the strings run in a straighter line then most head stocks. Less friction on the nut. And in all seriousness if you knew about the manufacturing aspect the small amount of wood that is deleted from the headstock design is not a cost-saving method by any means. What are they going to do with those little scraps of wood ? Nothing
but sawdust .

It most likely isn't a cost saving thing, but they do save money by not having to buy larger maple planks to build the headstock.
@@5tw8se74 you're right about that. Seagull prizes themselves on using zero shims in the neck slot going to the body of their guitars and that's all those shavings would be good for. I forget what it's called but manufactures are coming out with devices that fit onto the the likes of Gibson and epiphone headstocks to straighten string alignment. Straighter alignment means less problems. 🤘
