Its JPJ and Xavier Legette. Idzik basically said in a closed door meeting that hes the guy.

If JPJ falls to the 2nd, Carolina will run to the podium as fast as they can. Center has been a need since Kalil retired. It also just so happens the last time we had a decent line, was when Kalil was playing.

love the first pick. Do we need AD if we have Diontae, Theilen, and Mingo with upgraded o-line? It's such an unknown drafting wr. You could get a defensive starter and standout at 39. I'd take the top linebacker in the draft or a top to mirror Horn.
They need their next Sam Mills, Dan Morgan or Lukkkkkke…..in the middle.

As I expected a LAZY mock draft smh. I’ve said this everywhere so I’ll say it again here that THIS is how our draft should go:
Pick 33 - WR
I prefer AD Mitchell if he’s there but if not I’ll settle for Ladd McConkey who gives me Cooper Kupp vibes. If a WR I like is not at pick 33 we should trade that pick for Tee Higgins, Brandon Aiyuk or Cortland Sutton since it’s essentially a 1st round pick
Pick 39 - CB
Jaycee Horn is a good player but is unable to stay healthy we need a CB as insurance for him in case he gets injured again. If Nate Wiggins was to fall at 33 or 39 you gotta take him but if not I’ll settle for a Max Melton if he’s there. I don’t trust Dane Jackson as our #2 CB he’s a #4 CB a guy who comes in when our #1 or #2 CB is hurt
Pick 65 - Center
If Jackson Powers Johnson is on the board at 33 YOU PICK HIM! Then take the WR at 39. But if he’s not there we can look at Zack Frazier, Sedrick Van Pran or Beaux Limmer. We need someone who can provide competition or start because I don’t trust Corbett as our Center because his injury history
Pick 101 - TE
Someone like Sanders from Texas would be nice because he’s the #2 TE on the board but if he’s not there Theo Johnson from Penn State has been compared to Jimmy Graham I would like him or Ben Sinnott out of Kansas State is good too
Pick 141 - Best LB or RB available
We shouldn’t forget about DEF so if a good LB is here why not take him? Also if a RB like Braelen Allen is here why not take him?
Pick 142 - Best EDGE, DT or DE available
Just a young guy to add in the rotation for depth
Pick 240 - Developmental CB, SS or FS
A guy I would like here is Qwan’tez Stiggers who played CB in the CFL. He has experience against NFL caliber players and he’s young why not take a shot on him? At worst he’s a special teams guy at best he’s our future #2 or #3 CB and the definition of a STEAL in the draft. We can also look at a developmental safety because our current safeties are on 1 yr deals so he has the perfect opportunity to be a future starter for us or at worst a special teams guy
I very very much agree. Either way tho, those first 2 picks are enough for me to think it was a good mock draft. Otherwise I agree entirely. I’m sick of hearing people say we “need” a star rookie edge this year. I just don’t see it. Save that for next year

Look as a Panthers fan I feel you on the “big body” WRs after the failures of Kelvin Benjamin, Dwayne Jarrett and Johnathan Mingo but Adonai Mitchell is a “big body” WR who can separate THATS THE DIFFERENCE
Adonai Mitchell is the WR I want at 33 if he’s on the board if he’s not there I’ll settle for Ladd McConkey or trade pick 33 for Tee Higgins, Brandon Aiyuk or Cortland Sutton
AD Mitchell>Ladd. Panthers don’t have a big body X receiver.
Idk why this fanbase has a fetish for ladd mcconkey. This year's wr class is loaded and he's like the 6th or 7th best to me. Those big body wr receivers are all just as fast or faster.
AD is my 4th best WR in the draft if he falls to 33 I'll cry tears of joy

Wish those players would be there in round 2 but trade back that 65; swap out Trice, pick up Khyree Jackson and or Ben Sinott next, scratch McMillan and pick up Austin Booker if he’s there or a DL. Would love to see Kareem Hunt signed
What I don’t understand is the fact that Carolina said that we were sliding Corbett to center but people keep mocking us to pick a center. It’s not happening. I see that first pick being a corner or defensive end if one falls. If chop Robinson falls to us then he’s gone bet on that

It’s because Corbett hasn’t stayed healthy for 2 consecutive season. He only played one game last year and gave up 3 sacks in that one game. On top of the fact there is no future with Corbett. This is the last year of his deal.
Additionally he has never logged a snap at center in his NFL career. At any point. It just doesn’t make sense in any aspect when you think critically about it.
As a Panthers fan i do love this draft but the fact you passed on Johnny Newton twice kills me.
If JPJ and AD are there both this is exactly what we should do with 33 and 39 but if they aren't there and Johnny is still there he'll be a panther at 33
101 should've been a TE. TE is a more pressing need than a 2nd wr

Sorry guys but that’s a terrible drafts. So we’re paying Corbett 7 million to sit on the bench? Passing on Colson or Brooks would just be ignorant. I could see Mitchell but if what has been said is true then legette is that guy. Take a corner or end with the first pick if one of the good ones slide and then get the WR with the 2nd pick. Taking another WR instead of stover? Idk about that
