This is a good idea for someone who likes to keep the frayed effect, personally, I prefere tidy amd regularly use the first method to mend clothes for my family.
That's a new patch technique I have not seen before. I like it. Not sure anyone in my area would pay the price for such a time consuming patch however.
Funny timing! I just rewatched that older video a couple of days ago, because i need to fix my favourite old shorts which have that exact same decorative hole in the exact same place, but it has gotten a bit too risque in recent times. I didn’t want to eliminate the hole, it’s part of the shorts. This is a fantastic alternative! 😃
I like both, the original one I'd use on my jeans, with plans to add extra sashiko stitches. But this one is great for my jrhs son who wants his jeans patched, but to not look patched.
Oooh. It's giving me a new idea of mixing the old way with the new. I like how you had the thread loops of the old one and wondered if it was possible to use those and stitch them at the sides with the patch covering them from the inside? I recently patched some old denim that were very stringy and needed strong repairs.
I'm glad to see even the pros have trouble deciding on thread color!😂
Ha haha 😄 I wonder why this is so hard 😅
Looks really good.
Thread hunger games.....🤣😂😅
Always love your commentary......adds so much to the tutorials,💕

Oh yes! You need to be careful when offering. Sometimes customers don’t understand the time some alterations take. Cheers 😊
