ONE CHRISTMAS I WAS SEWING FOR MY LITTLE GIRLS, AND MY YOUNGEST DAUGHTER ASKED ME " MAMA HAS THERE EVER BEEN A DAY THAT YOU HAVEN'T "sewed" ON THE SEWING MACHINE?" WHICH AMAZED ME BECAUSE I DIDN'T KNOW SHE NOTICED WHAT I WAS DOING OR THAT SHE COULD EVEN KNEW HOW TO FORM THE THOUGHT TO ASK ABOUT IT. THEN MY SON CAME ALONG AND ROUGH!!!!ON JEANS KNEES!!! THIS WOULD HAVE SAVED A LOT OF JEAN'S FOR WINTER WEAR WITHOUT THE DRAFT. THANK YOU FOR SHARING, NOW I HAVE LITTLE GRAND DAUGHTERS, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! GRACIAS!!!!!!

I recently did my sister in laws Jean's that had same kinda knee and leg holes from the fraying coming apart, I took jean sides apart like you did and I sewed in a few pieces of leggings that I cut up, it came out amazing and beautiful looking. She absolutely loved that I saved 2 of her favorite jeans!! I used leggings because it was strong enough for jean patchto sew and works extremely well with stretchy jeans too!

I totally love that effect of the threads!
I just made it for a costumer; I did kept the “laces “ of the threads’s borders ( I don’t relay that much on interfacing sold in my country and to give her the result she was asking for I didn’t make stisches on the center of the hole so that her knee skin can show through
I will keep offering this work to costumers when they want a more “natural” look for their jeans

Thank you for sharing! I bought my jeans with holes but they keep getting bigger and bigger. I bought material to patch it but I’m so happy I saw your video this evening, I’m going to try it!
