Ride the DC Metro. It's the same system as BART, it's strange to ride DC Metro after growing up in the bay area. Bizzaro BART. But DC metro works much better than BART.
Yes the acceleration is intense my first ride on BART was from Dublin to Powell Street. I clocked my train at 92 mph but in was very noisy. Unlike in NYC Subway BART Shuts Down at 12:00 am and is more expensive to ride as it's a Regional Line. We New Yorker are spoiled with the Flat $2.50 rate 24 hour operation.

@@vipertalkschannel Yes. BART runs a 1676mm (5ft6in) Indian Broad Gauge With flat edge rail on mostly ballastless track. So it is very exotic and expensive to maintain. Parts must be custom ordered.
They don't use the same General Electric propulsion as the 1000 series Did. If you want to hear search up the los angeles metro red line/ purple line. Those trains sound exactly as the 1000 series and use the same propulsion.

The BART propulsion sounds nice.
yeah i love the motor buzzing sound
The take-off sounds like something is about to happen in a horror movie
Exactly like midnight meet for example which had the same take off sound in the L.A trains.
The subway attack scene in Predator 2 actually took place on the BART, even though it was supposed to be the L.A. Metro.

Has these train been built by the same company that built the R143 trains of New York City Subway? They sound very similar each other
Nope. BART is Alstom, Rohr, Morrison Knudssen for these old cars. The new fleet is by Bombardier, who made the R143, R142A
Thank you! 😊
The Metropolis Bombardier made the R142, and Kawasaki made the R142A and R143.

The front of A-Fleet of São Paulo Subway was inspired on BART trains.
The cars with cabs that have walk through heads still have their original Westinghouse DC chopper traction motors so they sound different (like buzz)
