10:23 I'm pretty sure that the picture of the cow is a reference to Switzerland and their cows and dairy farms which they're famous for. It would make a lot of sense especially since this is a Swiss style Alpine lodge
Love this set but I've always loved the Winter Village sets. I really like that this one doesn't have all those tiny little builds like the Elf Clubhouse had that end up cluttering up the set and get lost. I wish Lego would come out with a flickering light for fireplaces since they are in so many sets.
Way to go Mike! Glad your reviewing sets for BOTB still since your camera work, editing and in depth commentary are next level! This is a return to form for winter village sets. Will definitely be picking it up.
He said parents first because Santa stops giving you presents when you grow older, so his parents started giving him presents for Christmas! As long as you are young, Santa will still give you presents!
Absolutely love this set! I just wish Lego would make the fire places with an on/off switch. The tech should be easy, like those fake tea light candles which are dirt cheap.I would make the fireplace so much better!
The sticker pic of the farmer reminds me of the one form Lion Knight's castle. The set is lovely, but the little squirrel on the snowy balustrade is the most adorable thing about it. And im sure you can modify the outhouse with a mechanism to have certain Shrek come out ;)
Great set. Will definitely get this and already ordered the friends set and some pieces in order to do some changes. Planning to turn some windows around in order to be able to open them. Also about the problem with building things together and difference in manuals. Share the manuals! Do two pages and change, just a thought.
I actually think it's okay that the manuals aren't equal sizes. When I build with much younger or much older family members, they always move much slower through the instructions, or tire more easily.
This set is a masterpiece ❄️

Can I just say, what a pleasant surprise to hear Mike doing a review for Beyond the Brick. Love it

This isn't just a great set; it's a great review, too!
Hope y'all enjoyed the review!

Great review!!
no way, the best one is absolutely gingerbread house
I wonder where those 5 stars are coming from considering that place has an outdoor toilet for winter time use.
the chimney thingy looks like a snowman
That outhouse belongs to Shrek and you cannot change my mind on that.
Shrek if he lived in the mountains instead of a swamp
Speaking of bricks and mini figs. Someone just turned the Grand Rapids , Michigan one into a drive thru.
