Do you coordinate with Lego marketing teams? And are you effectively paid by them to ‘review’ their products?
@@Av-vd3wk probably not paid but don’t have to pay for products.. a brand ambassador
I had no idea you designed the gingerbread house that is one of my favorite Christmas sets
Noooo , open back Lego sets must die! Every Lego building should have all 4 walls, Home Alone is the most perfect set and example how each building set must be done!
I don't think a winter village interior will ever beat the gingerbread house
@anonbinarylemon1556 that's a close second for me!
I really like the gingerbread house, and love all the little details.
However it does seem a bit out of place when building a winter/Christmas village, so last year I did leave it out... though space on my display board did factor in. This year I may have to reduce the railway to a straight section passing the station instead of the "skewed oval" I've used to do so I get more space for buidings.
@anonbinarylemon1556 Alright. The main dinner table feels empty and bland without any food on it, it's unfortunate that the kid's bedroom is the only upper floor area, and there should be a staircase leading down from said bedroom.
...It's still one of the best Winter Village sets of all time, but you asked.
@anonbinarylemon1556 I was just about to reply saying Santa's Visit! I did love the GIngerbread House, but then the Santa's Visit set beat it hands down for me. So evocative of Christmas!
@@koma-k Sure the gingerbread house set may look somewhat out of place among the other LEGO Winter Village buildings, but it still ties into the Christmasy theme.
I think this set does a better job at standing alone from the other Winter Village sets than others in the theme. I probably won't get it, but this one does appeal to me more than others
+Def better than last years winter set
Visually the log effect is great, but I do agree that the gingerbread house is nicer - both visually overall and the interior is much nicer. Still, I think I'll get it 😄
The set should come with a Marty Mcfly and Doc brown as it’s called ‘twin pines’!
LMAO!!
And an optional Lone pine inn sign
I thought the same thing when I seen this set lol
Damn! Beat me to it! 😄🤘
Get the delorean and put it outside
Thanks for all the different camera angles and detailed list of mini figs and animals that come with this set. Always a very thorough review.
I try my best! Thank you!
@@TiagoCatarino You do an amazing job!
I searched up “Lego Canada Goose” why did this come up lol
This Lodge is so beautiful. What a lovely Winter Village building.
And the frozen pond is excellent.
MUST GET!
And great once again, Tiago doing another great thorough and knowledgeable review. I know I say it all the time. But he's the best.
Looks lovely and the best winter village set since the gingerbread house IMO.
If only more sets could have this fair/great of value!
Great review. I also love the technique used to build the logs. Also, a great value. Glad Lego didn't over price it.
I had to laugh about the 5 star thing and the bathroom outside. lol!
Right?!!
PS you’re right, the Gingerbread House is the best WV set ever.
#facts ❤️
I’d say that this set is easier to integrate into a Winter Village display than the Gingerbread House. I ended up setting up two displays, one for regular buildings and one that’s more fanciful - Santa’s Workshop, Elf and Gingerbread Houses.
Love them all though
We are so lucky to have you, Tiago!
With winter approaching, I would love to hear you talk about LEGO City set 60366 “Ski and Climbing Center” vs. LEGO Friends set 42756 “Holiday Ski Slope & Cafe”
I’m a holiday village builder, and I have to say I’m struggling between which of these sets to add to my scene this year. I’m on a budget and can only pick one right now. Would love your opinion on which you would choose, where you see the value in each, and the strengths and weaknesses of each build. I find these two sets fascinating as they seem like the designers were given the same brief/challenge, but executed their builds quite differently.
Bit sad that I will probably have to pick up the set for myself when it releases oct 1, rather than asking for it for christmas, but with how incredible of a build it is, and its price point, its a worthwhile trade-off.
Same consideration here😅
Just completed it, very nice! Couldn't help to be surprised by the underside of the Christmas tree though.... Got some very "German" feelings from it..
I have the Gingerbread House and Santa's Visit. I agree, the Gingerbread House is still the best! I might consider buying the Alpine Lodge, it really looks good! Thank you for your review.
Wow, I think this is the first Christmas set outside the one with 4 Deer that I will get. It's lovely (Getting at least 2 to merge them and make a fully enclosed lodge).
Gingerbread House is still the best winter village set! 🔥🔥🔥
I love the casual brag when you said you designed the Gingerbread House
Sat watching your review with your very own Gingerbread House behind me. Great job x2, Tiago!
I'm somewhat disappointed that the Back is open, makes it look more like a 60$ set
Yeah back to back reviews from Tiago, now we are getting a treat!
I'm sleep deprived
"cost efficient" is the correct wording at 4:30. The "house" is only a fascade with minimal depth. For 100€. Wow.
Let’s hope a Delorean doesn’t knock down one of those pine tree making it “lone pine inn”😏
I’m pretty sure the red bird is intended to be a Northern Cardinal, a bird strongly associated with winter and Christmas here in the states.
I wonder if ‘Two Pines Inn’ is a cheeky play-on-words for being ‘Two Pints In’ to a beer session? 🍻
The ice rink is creative, great build overall!
What's the difference between a Lego piece and an 'element'? For example: the minifig head you call an element but the grill and minifig hair are called pieces. Good review as always!
I hate "houses" that just have a front. Why not close it up and make it modular?
They never did for this theme. It's what helps keep it at a reasonable price as well.
Having an open rear makes Lego buildings less expensive. It also can make for better display, especially if you set the completed build on a lazy-suzan turntable, because turning it around reveals the interior. The open back also makes it easier to play with.
This Lego chalet offers so many highlights, it's rather difficult to know which one to start with! The way they simulated the log walls is definitely an upgrade from the Lego Creator series cabins (like the 2011 Lego Creator Log Cabin and the Lego Creator Mountain Hut) and more accurate to boot! The overall architectural style of this set is almost timeless, you can put it in a Lego scene based in almost any historical era in much of Europe or North America, it would be particularly beautiful as part of a Bavarian style village. Another plus are the myriad of different play features to fidget with (don't tell me that no adult who has purchased this and similar playable sets has not at least occasionally fidgeted with them), of which that fireplace light feature merely is the tip of the iceberg.
5:37 - naaah, Gingerbread House is still much, MUCH better! 😁
My man ❤️
Its nice to hear of a good set from lego. My partner is the one who likes christmas sets though. For me, i was on my lunch break and saw 5:43, and learned something new. Thank you.
The Hogsmead had a good Moc that was was a winter alpine lodge and I made it this year. Now I’m seriously considering how I would incorporate having two lodges. Might need to change it to a shop or some such. It’s very pretty none the less
Hey tiago on your Channel is a is a 1k-1million loading screen do you update iT every time ?
This will definitely be a must have for Christmas time😅
Looks amazing set nice mini figs and brick fire light great review
Those pieces aren't new right? I mean I think this length and possibly colour might be, but we've been using that shape for a long time now.
The corner ones are definitely new to me.
Do you prefer the alpine lodge or Santas visit set?
Why is the back of the house missing?
Also, yes, the log style snot technique has been used by bluebrixx for a while
This gives me The Shining vibes.
I Would like to make a Overlook hotel moc. Maybe a small build like the Architect line.
Gingerbread house is still the best in the series but this looks great!
I wish they were actually complete buildings and not just front facades, an optional seperate box to buy that would make it a full building would be cool, or atleast make instructions to build it yourself.
How accessible is the light brick? And how long do those tend to last per battery?
If you dont use it all the time even 8 years without any leaks.
I can't wait! This will be a transition set in my display - transition from the elf club house and gingerbread house of the "north pole" to the village at the bottom :-)
Have fun!
I'm gonna add some Lego curling stones for my frozen pond there 😊
Great set, Lego should make a skiing and snow tubing set to go along with it
The pieces used for the logs and snow should be called bun shaped pieces, using them for the logs and snow looks amazing, great part usage and technique
Your gingerbread house is a set ive been searching for ages lol. But this will have to do for now.
I have to show this to my dad ! He’s obsessed by mountain lodges ! 😂
Happy you mentioned the Gingerbread House. I just picked it up online! Tempting to get 2 sets to do for Xmas this year...
Agree with the gingerbread House I also put forward the elfs clubhouse as the top 2 winter village sets Lego ever produced well my top 2 anyway 😂
Theyre making the boxes way to nice also!! Its getting harder and harder to open these sweet sets!! I cant pull the trigger on the last 2 modulars and still havnt opened my home alone set yet either. Its starting be bitter sweet. Lego is the most genius marketing company ever. 3 in 1 was absolutely brilliand and now they got us builders wanting to buy 1 to build and 1 to keep and i cant afford the ones i want as it is. 😆😆😆
Been collecting the Winter sets of the last couple of years and this one will be added for sure.
Pushing down on the chimney to activate the fire place is something we have seen before. But nice nonetheless!
why dont they put a back on the building? not buying half a building.
This is the best LEGO set of the year for me! Great review Tiago!
Can you please make a review of the Amazing Spider Man lego set
Looks super cozy!
This set is amazing!
Can’t wait to buy it
Its about time they made a half dome element. 😁
Just got back from the Alps in Germany, this is so tempting
I want it for a castle build.
Its really pretty, but imho, i think im gonna go backwards for my winter village and pick up Santa's visit. The Main Street got me into Winter Village displays, and, while this one is good, i dont think it measures up
Early gang. I wish I had winter village sets but I don’t. I love cabins and lodges as a Canadian man, and I think this looks great
Good review much enjoy can't wait to get my own
Poised And Hyped To Get 2 Of These‼️
The wooden log technique is amazing but the ground floor ruins it for me. It's so plain compared to the rest of the building and I wish the whole thing looked like it was wood except for the chimney.
I cant wait to get my hands on it! I love this set already!
It seems like the white tile elements at 4:27 are around the wrong way!
It's cute, but could have more features on the inside. But this way it won't be so sad to store it with the inside facing the wall😂. And why is the squirrel grey?
And you created the ginger bread house?! I LOVE THAT ONE!! All those super cute features.
I was 21 when i built it and was showing my mother proudly all those Details lile the bathtub or the gingerbread people 😂
5 Star Review. Very cosy set.
What a way to bring in the christmas season!
Does the toilet in this set work like the ninjago city market does it work plus lego should make more toiiets
Haven’t tried it myself so I’m not sure 🤔
I'm from the Alps and this building is hearty, but wooden houses in the Alps don't look like this. It is after all a log house and reminds more of Canada or America
Did I miss price info?
A very nice looking set.
Yes, at the very beginning!
before today I didn't know you worked as a lego designer for so long. The ship in the bottle was sitting on my shelf all the time 😆
Edit: just learned you also designed the park street townhouse. One of my favorite creator 3in1 sets, not gonna lie
Not anymore though! It's been over 4 years since I left 🥲
Damm this would be my 1st winter village set ever also I would like to double this set as a full modular one here
This looks cool ima buy it when it comes out
Very good quality Lego Alpine, you are very inspiring. Hopefully I can buy it too later. greetings from Indonesia 🙏
I read “Two pints in” 😂
Could the name be a reference to the twin pines mall from back to the future?
Wait, so the roof is just straight up made of snow? I'm not sleeping on the top floor.
$100 for this set is crazy value
In a bad or good way?
@@jokkujakkunen6143 good
SUch a great set, but I really DESPISE how they designed the frozen lake.
I ususally dont like where stuff is just a separate builds, but this time this build cant even be propperly atached to a plate because of how its build :/
It also clashes with style with all other WV sets.
Nice, but not good enough to buy it at day one. I will keep it on my wanted list in case I need a big cart for a really brilliant GWP special offer. Otherwise I will buy it next season when other stores have it and offer 20% discount. I also think someone will come up with a proper two sided version on rebrickable soon, so it might be better to wait and then buy the parts for the XL version from a reliable source ( and alternate vendor) ...
Red cardinal in the winter, good joke 🙂
Fyi - the US site currently has the release date as Oct 4. Thanks for the beautiful review! 🎄🍪🐿️
Should be Oct 1st for insiders? Aka the old VIP early access?
@@TiagoCatarinoAh, my mistake - you are right! Thanks again
The set is very cool
The most attractive thing about this is the price at only $100 I would expect $150 from lego
It's good, but I liked the one from 2021 more, the house you have shown @4:51. Anyway, I will buy the Viking Village Okt 1st, not this one ;)
the best yotuber on the planet.
I
Love
&
Have
The
Ginger
Bread
House!!!
I love the look of this set. How boring if every building looked the same. It's definitely better to have variety. I am yet to build my Gingerbread House sorry Tiago but I'm moving house and will get it done for this Christmas 🎄😁
You should review the spider man art set pls
A crescent window in an outhouse predates the movie Shrek by many years.
Centuries. But many people on the internet are idiots and take the smallest things as reference to the smallest of things.
I want to buy 2 so I can make a full cabin
super cool but it still doesn't hold up to the gingerbread house 😮💨
2nd best for sure! thanks my man ❤️
I like it as a set but I don't like it for the Winter Village collection.
0:31 ESTE BAÑO 🚽 COMO PELÍCULA SHREK Y 2:23 VOLVER AL FUTURO CENTRO COMERCIAL TWIN PINES ESTÁ BIEN PADRE 🤩👍🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I’ll let you know if it beats you gingerbread house😊 think i’ll get 2 to build a modula
