Hi Emma! I started learning English from scratch when I was 23 years, yet I am an English teacher now. Besides, I have been teaching English for ten yeats. Therefore, everyone can learn a new language whatever their age is. You are one of my favourite teachers on RUclips. I really admire you and like your enthusiasm and energy in teaching. Hi - a new experiment: I've read the transcript of "Better Ways To Say Very" several times, then let the video play WITHOUT sound, but subtitles. My job: reading along plus imitating body language, ... very challenging, ... but a lot of fun.
One thing I do to create my own English bubble is forcing myself and my brother (with whom I live) to speak the language at home as much as we can. We don't live in an English-speaking country, but we are enthusiastic about learning the language. Thank a bunch for this lesson. I am struggling learn english. Even if I am living in London I find difficulties in speaking . I dont have a friend to practice with . If anybody is experiencing the same would be my pleasure to get practice together
Thanks a lot for your advice, Emma, this is great. I found a method to improve my vocabulary: if I can't remember a new word, I use one or two words I'm familiar with to give me a clue, whenever it's possible. For instance, if I can't remember the word "cabbage" I'll think about a taxi or a "cab"; if I can't recall the word "hearse" I'll think about a theater or an orchestra that I'll link to the word "rehearse" or "rehearsal"; for the word "spaniel", I'll think about "Spain" and the first name "Daniel"; etc.
Did u know Emma,I have been watching you here at youtube for a week now.and yesterday I learned a lot on how can I expand more of my vocabulary of adjectives, instead of using VERY to describe something, to avoid repetition and boring words such as very bad, good, small, also I have been learning the use of past continous and past perfect continous that it's making me confuse and dizzy. But I love the imitation lesson more than any of the lesson i had watched.
That fact of checking articles tab is so evident but i have never even thought about it. There's no way i could start doing this without watching this video
