I am SO glad Charlotte finally requested this. I love Manchester Orchestra and have listened to them since high school but I had never heard this song before until she sent it to me a while ago. It’s such a beautiful song. And thank you Dallas for not being afraid to show your emotions and vulnerability. It’s what makes us human and always confirms that our emotions are valid and that music is so important for a reason and it’s always a pleasure to see y’all discover music that means something to you. Love ya, girl.

Pretty sure you were the one that convinced me to request it because I was sooo nervous about potentially ruining the band for them by having them listen to a song they don't like, but clearly I was very wrong! I also have so much love and appreciation for how vulnerable they both are with these reactions. It just makes the whole thing feel more real, and that emotional honesty is part of the reason why I feel so comfortable being myself on this channel since they are such genuine people. I am so glad that both of us (and everyone else here) were lucky enough to find this channel 😤

Usually don't pick a reaction unless I'm familiar with the song myself, but I felt the urge to check this one out and I'm glad I did. Dallas, I'm just like you when it comes to spiritual themes in music. It speaks to something deep in my soul that nothing else can. Great reaction y'all!
The way Andrea looked over and saw Dallas crying when the song ended and was like "OHHH" was way too funny 😩 those tears had her shook! I am hype as heck that y'all liked the song though!!! I don't even know why I was worried you guys wouldn't like it, but Andrea is probably right that it's because it's just different. The guitar is also repetitive as hell which I usually don't like so maybe I was assuming everyone else felt the same way, but it doesn't bother me in this song because it's just so fitting and beautiful. The part that gets me tearing up is usually towards the beginning when it's like, "Really did it this time. The lord looks down and begins to cry. The day you said goodbye". I don't even know exactly what this song is about, but just picturing God looking down to see people hurting themselves is so sad. It's kind of a reminder of reality in a way (not that it's very easy to forget), but I am always thinking about that kind of stuff and it contributes to why everything feels so sad. I forget which video/song it was but recently there was one where Dallas says she tries not to think about all the sad stuff that happens in the world because then she'd always be upset (not in those exact words) and that is literally one of my biggest problems! Even holidays are ruined for me because I can't help thinking about all of the people in the world who can't afford food for their family, people who are alone on Christmas, or just the fact that there are people in the world at all times who are sad, scared, alone, etc., like it's awful and I hate it 😭 ANYWAY, I don't know what my point was but I am about to go research the prodigal son since I actually don't even know what that is and never thought to look it up until y'all pointed it out. THEN I will go on my search for the next Manchester Orchestra song to request. OH ALSO, for Spotify wrapped this year, Manchester Orchestra was #2 in my top 5 artists! My top 5 were Rainbow Kitten Surprise, Manchester Orchestra, Every Time I Die, Bad Omens, and Sleep Token! What were the 3 of yours?? ALSO, I don't know if Wheels is trying to revive the beef we had or something but he better not have been hating on this song when he put that he thought it was weird to say this song is a banger bop 😤

Good song but if you're new to Manchester orchestra, this doesn't do them justice. Try "The gold", "The Silence", "Shake it I out". Incredible band!
