    Tip: You also can use a SD Card adapter and do it with old SD or even MicroSD Cards

      Thanks mate. And no, not yet. I am in the process of getting my Dreamcast online, however - just waiting on some stuff to arrive by mail.

    I loved that about the original Xbox, if your Xbox wasn't internet connected, you could still play the latest and greatest games, as MS required each game disc to come with the firmware version that the game required on it.
    Then, upon inserting the disc, and trying to run the game, it would check to see if you were the same version or higher, and if you weren't, it would install the latest firmware right off the disc :)
    Had a couple of games do that to us on our OG xbox (only owners), Midtown Madness 3 was one of them, we bought the game not long after release, and had to wait for the disc to install the latest firmware to the console.

    "All you need is to burn a DVD"
    Ah, I can't even afford fine porcelain china. Such a weird step needed to get the dashboard back. You would think it just being saved, or allowing usb or FTP would makes as much sense.

    On the note of multiplayer gaming, there's so few I enjoy now, much prefer single player, just hate how a lot of developers are moving to make single player a 2nd class citizen.

    Question: So I have Xbox4gamers Dashboard when the console boots up... If I put in my "Extra's Disc" it shows dashboards as a category. I don't have a MS Dashboard installed for Insignia Live. So is the best thing to do is go to MS Dashboard on Extras Disc, click install, then will it give me a choice to install it as a Application? So then I can install it in the E:Drive? I have only put in the "Extra's Disc" I don't know what I am doing and don't want to screw nothing up. My fear is if I download the MS Dashboard and reboot that it will boot to the MS Dashboard and not Xbox4gamers Dashboard ? My goal is the Xbox to boot up to Xbox4gamers Dashboard then I go to Applications, click MS Dashboard and it will then boot that way to MS Dashboard.. then I can install the Insignia Live Disc and follow the instructions on that disc to get it up and running correctly. Please help, and thank you!!

    I've got a slight issue. I can play Outrun 2/2006, Conker... anything supported just fine when using my original game discs with my Rocky5 softmod and use the MS Dashboard to launch the game. But when I launch the same games installed to my HDD, I cannot get to XBLA at all. Insignia page suggests Rocky5 should allow Live and I have static with the Insignia DNS. Any ideas? Issue is with the softmod I suspect but cannot see where...

    I give up. I can’t do it. I’m just not good enough with computers to figure this out. It’s been a month and I still can’t get it to work no matter what I do. I’ve downloaded everything I know to download and I still can’t pull up xplorer 360 or even begin to figure out the other thing. I went to the red it page and I’ve put everything into one folder. Still says I need the DLL file that I already downloaded and installed. I literally cannot figure this out. This is the most frustrating thing. I need help. bad.

      @@theghastlygamer5326 I believe they send out the invites in timed batches so the system isn't overloaded. It is still in beta, remember. That's why I recommend signing up before purchasing the adapter, game etc. Once you have the code it doesn't expire.

      You can update your softmod by using the extras image. You can burn it like the host does or you can ftp it to your Xbox as an application and run it from there.

      I used to find Xbox users on Phantasy Star Online (PSO), but now I mainly see GameCube users. The Phantasy Star Online server is cross-platform for both Insignia original Xbox users and GameCube (or Dolphin emulator) users. Most people playing are Dolphin emulator users…they emulate the GameCube version of PSO to connect to the server.

      @@Turkey_Hill Probably playing the community mod/revival for it on PC

    • @Turkey_Hill
      @Turkey_Hill Год назад +1

      @@hunterkrovac The community mod revival is based on Phantasy Star Online Blue Burst for PC. Unfortunately, Xbox/GameCube players can’t join Blue Burst players to play a game. I’ve joined their lobby on my Original Xbox and chatted with them in the lobby…but once I join them for a game, the game freezes up. Dreamcast players can only play with Dreamcast players, Xbox players can play with GameCube players, but Blue Burst PC version players can only play with their fellow Blue Burst PC users. That’s definitely the best community though if you’re looking for the most users. They sometimes have about 100 concurrent players. The combination of Xbox and GameCube players hardly ever reaches over 20 concurrent players at a time.
