- It's the tale of Chicken Little, only with Foxy Loxy being a cunning villain who uses a number of psychological tactics to drive a farm-ful of animals into a cave to be eaten. Slightly disturbing and quite political - most youngsters will probably prefer Disney's new, computer-animated take on the story, now in theaters.
one of the rare disney films where the villains wins XD
+The Mizfitz ™ The only one that I remember, are there any other Disney films where the villain wins?
Sleepy Hollow, Headless Horseman Kills Ichabod and Brom Bones Mary's Katrina
The Mizfitz ™ Thanks for the info. I will look those films up.
Quien vino por el vídeo de Naiter all
The Mizfitz ™ the fox eating up Chicken Little & Co is pretty much how it ends in the most familiar version of the tale. Why should the narrator be so surprised?
This must be the prequel to George Orwell Animal Farm
Unlikely, because there are no animals anymore 😅
8:33 "Oh yeah ? Don't believe everything you read brother !!"
The End
I can't help but feel from the lip flaps that he was going to say something else. (I know for sure the book was supposed to be titled *something else*)
BWF
I like how the Fox only needed to be heard, but he put on a whole dress up show every time he talks with the birds from BEHIND A FENCE
Foxy loxy more successful than Wile E coyote and Ralph wolf combined.
And all thanks to psychology
Because Foxy Loxy is the only one who actually try to use his brain for once.
Why couldn't that less-then memorable 2005 movie be more like this?
This short is MILES better than the feature length CGI version that Disney made in 2005!
At least Cocky escaped the fate of the other poultry.
Chicken little: ''Playboy''
It's awsome how you can still enjoy it even though the villain wins in the end
Cockey Lockey = FDR
Chicken Little = Average Joe
Turkeys = Upper class
Hens = Middle class
Ducks = Working class
Fox = Hitler
thejobloshow I thought that Cockey Lockey was Winston Churchill
+thejobloshow Fox=socialist
🔕axrkjmp
Chicken Little = Children in the US
@@ibanez8934 yes, Hitler was a socialist.
DAMN Disney you DARK
"And here is Chicken Little, playboy and yoyo champ."
Never thought I'd hear those two words about the same indiviual :D
it's refreshing to see the villain victorious for once
Such a nice cartoon. Is a MUST see. Thanks for uploadind!
At least the Fox was satisfied by the feast. Thanks Chicken little
Cocky Locky is the only one that survived because the fox knocked him out.
The great thing about these older animation pieces is that you didnt really know who is going to win, unlike these newer cartoons the good guy always won, but Iuv looking back to see pieces of work like this with a good moral behind it.
Hard to believe my almost dead grandpa was 20 years old when this was released.
So much better than that awful 2005 movie.
The fox represents the conspiracy industry. And WE are the chickens...
Wow... terrifying
the lesson here is dont believe everything you hear, read some books, and ALWAYS keep a stash of 'to the cave' signs handy
Could be a metaphor for today's society
Scarily accurate
Also since this was made as a propaganda cartoon during WW2, to let the American people know how easily the German people were swayed and manipulated to follow Hitler
I like this way better than the story I was read at school. It's got a powerful message that still holds very true, even today.
The book seems to be a jab at Mein Kamp and psychology.
It originally was supposed to be mein kamf, and foxy was originally going to be a nazi. The reason they trashed that idea was because Walt wanted the lesson this cartoon teaches to seem to be too dated in the future
@ 7:17 we have the All-Seeing Eye
The 666 Fox can see all of them, but none of the chickens can see him.
disturbing!
No wonder they made a reboot
Should've just remade this tbh. So much better than the reboot
Every fairy tale descends from one:
'Some kids did some shit their parents didn't like and got eaten. The end.'
The moral: stupidity can get you and others killed. Chicken Little's own stupidity did him and the others in. Doesn't even cross his mind on who was telling him all this stuff, or how there seemed to be convenient directional signs leading to the cave.
Well played, Foxy. Well played.
LOL
The fox is reading from mein kampf
Sky is falling = 9/11
Foxy Loxy = Illuminati
See you in the cave folks!
2:45 my face on Thanksgiving
The ducks sound just like Donald. But then they both had the same voice actor.
And people think all Disney is capable of is fluff :P
That fox is so right!: "Don't believe everything you read!"
quick run to the 'deep underground militairy base'......wow!! this is a doozy
"to influence the mass is to reduce their intelligence " this cartoon is awesome!
An example of how dimwitted people can fall to the Big Lie can be found in Matilda.
Seeing the fox win in this isn't as exciting as seeing Tom win in some T&J cartoons.
Thanks for uploading! I enjoy both versions pretty much equally.
I find it hilarious that he puts on a costume when he's hiding
What's this? A Disney cartoon with a sad ending? They all die at the end? See folks this is why we can't have nice things! D:
Politics? The fox is the corporative power, the way of telling lies is through media and market (marketing is base on how to tell beautiful lies. Also, the fox use fear, unchecked facts, and so on...), the chickens are the people who believe everything without checking for themselves.
Now, the big rooster could be the state or the goverment, depending on what kind of goverment they have: right (won't try to stop the fox) or left. Apparently is a lefty goverment (he is attacked -as usual- as "totalitarian") trying to stop the corporative power lies and when he try to do it gets knocked out. There are other aspects as the "high fence", the lock in the inside and the gunshot, they could symbolize a strong state, laws and the army (not just military, but also the police and justice)
You are right.
I totally agree with you
This is quite dark and disturbing for a cartoon with such an innocuous setting; the villain wins by spreading false rumors about Cocky Locky in disguise, manipulating the easily led Chicken Little, and by leading everyone to his cave. It shows that even back then, Disney didn't necessarily have just children in mind when he and his studio were doing cartoons... so unlike Disney today.
Here what my sister said...
"Here is chicken little, play boy and-"
Sister: Woah. woah. Play what?
She only heard the narrator, she wasn't watching. Everybody laugh now I guess.
I loved this one when I was a kid. I had it on Betamax and watched it all the time. It is even better now that I am older and understand it.
It's spooky how relevant this cartoon is to modern times.
wow. the ending was unexpected, but it actually teaches kids a lesson
Happy 14th Anniversary
Bruh the cartoon's WAY older than that.
vengo por neiter, alguien mas?
What a great cartoon! And it keeps the original message and ending, but still makes it funny! I like it when cartoons don't dumb things down!
Plus, Quote "The Fox is such a great character" Un-quote!
I still love the CGI one, but this one just blows it out of the water!
2:08 Hi is Chicken Little
Finally, the fox wins one for once in a cartoon! He was a cute fox. The farmer was just going to do the same to them anyway, and the foxes were living there first.
You'll notice Cocky appears to be the only bird who wasn't eaten, right? Probably because he got beamed.
There is no indication in the cartoon that Cocky Locky survives.
ushadrons but there is no indication in the cartoon that Cocky Locky died...
Well, all but Cocky Locky (who was probably still knocked out by the time everyone else was eaten by Foxy Loxy) are eaten, but well, sometimes, you can't have stupidity do you in. This may be one of the darkest endings ever.
Instead, why can't they call it "Foxy Loxy" than chicken little. It mainly involves the fox than the little chicken. He does most of the talking. LOL
merci pour la vidéo
If Disney made short animations like this it would save their Company/Dignity
The movie in 2005 was different in this cartoon so enjoy.
Not only was this better than the movie, but it also helped Brain and me plot to take over the world, Narf!
Fox = Elite. Chickens = Us.. This is our world in an "eggshell" (muahahahaa haa). Human society summed up in 8 minute cartoon..
Even though Foxy Loxy ended up killing and eating Chicken Little and all her friends, it was still amazing.
The villain winning in a Disney film? I feel all warm and happy inside.
You know, sometimes a children's cartoon is just a children's cartoon.
I'm working in a school at the moment and the teacher was reading the children this book. I was like, "Isn't this a Disney film though? Oookkkk...." rofllmao!!!!
"He's only human you know?" lol, There was in fact a disturbance in the force...How times change, it seems only yesterday, they Marsupials were running the joint, then "the transitional phase"...
The religious community swells with pride and sometimes a bit of sinister acknowledgement, when the transitional phase is brought up, they point out with confidence that there are no transitional species found in the fossil record, I disagree having seen the Orca, and a number of other obviously transitional species both extinct and existent. However the fact that we don't find them nearly as often as we would think, is a question isn't it?
Perhaps we are only learning where to look? We have been digging through and peeling back layers of dubious origin for some time. And the understanding of times outwards flow and inevitable contact with what is, is ever more apparent with our tech than when it's "motivation for observation was needed...." Cause and Effect
Didn't the fallen, get dissed because he was a creationist?
I really don't give a rats ass what happened in the past as far as religio-polito-dominion is concerned, there is knowledge of our material world in that aged tome, wisdom, all the trapping and ceremony might be how to build an ark, I don't know. What I'm saying is that our genetic permutation rate could be regulated by a program that knows genetic code, how ever it also might have ages of elements that pour into the path of the Earth as well. A star is easy to see in space, not so the rock, even less so a sized planetary sea of sand spread over the size of a solar system, time being the factor. I personally think our path was strewn with what ever smashed into the Earth, and over eons it hung around getting in the way. Though that leads back to myth, and means that either some one has thought the things I do before, probably, or there were beings on or in those chuncks, dna at the very least, and I would put a dolloar on it being from another star system, I've never doubted where my flesh comes from.
And I pray that your God exist, and sees the position you presume over your fellow man, have fun with that, Christian.
***** u have a long way 2 go bro, god bless and hope you make it on your journey sooner rather than later.
Funny; everything happening I remember my Mom telling me this story 8-) Thanks for sharing.
What a great cartoon. Always ends with a good lesson.
It's amazing how much this has changed.
Yeah... i remember Ludwing Von Drake... it was awesome... when i see this vid... i remember my childhood inmediatly... well i was see this cartoon so many times... i wanna be kid again!!...
Oh the good old days when cartoons used to have there dark side. Its just brings a smile to my face, to be a kid again. :)
Back when I was a little kid, one week out of every summer we would have summer family camp. It was fun but the best part were the movie nights. They would set up a movie screen (this was before video) and we would watch cartoons and other stuff. Well one fated summer they played this...perhaps not the best thing to play to a bunch of little kids. Even worse, after this they had the Laurel and Hardy where they got shot at the end.
Today a friend of mine has passed away.
Here's it's name:
Chicken little.
Let's pray his soul for his everlasting peace
Actually it does. The first one had Denahi, and the second one had Atka. You could argue they weren't intentional villains, but both were consumed by either jealousy or revenge.
the end is realty
Thanks Wollclark. This video is indeed very relevant to the whole Harold Camping situation.
People need to watch this today. Too much panicking all around.
Hehe. I think this is the only disney villain that I know of that actually succeeds. Awesome. I love Foxy Loxy.
and nobody comments about the farmer
The fox to me, are the talking heads on ALL the cable news channels.
I actually read on wikipedia that even though Foxy Loxy's book was changed from Mein Kampf to Psychology, the quotes he reads are still from Mein Kampf.
the much better years of animation as seen here, even towards the end of the 50's these cartoons lost their edge.
A lesson in politics from Chicken Little. Either the sky is falling or the bottom is falling out from underneath us. Who can we trust? Good to wake up to a real cartoon episode from MR. Walt Disney.
man talk about a downer ending. I like how they act like it isnt that big of a deal. like "yeah hundreds of chickens just lost there lives, but, eh, they should have known better.".
I loved this ending! I thought it was going to be all pathetic and the good innocent guy wins but for once they give kids an idea that strangers are not always trustable as made in other cartoons.
Gee, who would of thought that the 1943 short cartoon would be better than the 2005 hour and a half cartoon.
Why does Foxy’s book of psychology have no words in it?
mein Kamp for childrens
Wow! I remember this! I used to watch this one all the time back then! And I agree, it does have a rather unusual ending. Unusual, but unique considering that its very rare for the villain to be victorious.
This is rather dark for a childrens short.
In this version buck cluck is actually a reasonable guy. I would smoke with Foghorn Leghorn Senior
first time i see a 40's cartoon predator that actually gets to eat the animal he was chasing
Chicken Little 2005
4:28 "Now be calm, don't get panicky." two seconds later "Run for your life!"
Althought this is a cartoon it's art imitating life on so many different levels!
2019
Greta Thunberg is Chicken little!!
This is probably the only cartoon where the villan gets what he wants.
I've always noticed in old Disney cartoons, in stories in such where the good is suposed to lose, thay make the good guy somewhat of bad guy, and the bad guy vice versa.
