Walt Disney - Chicken Little - 1943

  • It's the tale of Chicken Little, only with Foxy Loxy being a cunning villain who uses a number of psychological tactics to drive a farm-ful of animals into a cave to be eaten. Slightly disturbing and quite political - most youngsters will probably prefer Disney's new, computer-animated take on the story, now in theaters.

    Politics? The fox is the corporative power, the way of telling lies is through media and market (marketing is base on how to tell beautiful lies. Also, the fox use fear, unchecked facts, and so on...), the chickens are the people who believe everything without checking for themselves.
    Now, the big rooster could be the state or the goverment, depending on what kind of goverment they have: right (won't try to stop the fox) or left. Apparently is a lefty goverment (he is attacked -as usual- as "totalitarian") trying to stop the corporative power lies and when he try to do it gets knocked out. There are other aspects as the "high fence", the lock in the inside and the gunshot, they could symbolize a strong state, laws and the army (not just military, but also the police and justice)

  • @Turnajon

    This is quite dark and disturbing for a cartoon with such an innocuous setting; the villain wins by spreading false rumors about Cocky Locky in disguise, manipulating the easily led Chicken Little, and by leading everyone to his cave. It shows that even back then, Disney didn't necessarily have just children in mind when he and his studio were doing cartoons... so unlike Disney today.

    "He's only human you know?" lol, There was in fact a disturbance in the force...How times change, it seems only yesterday, they Marsupials were running the joint, then "the transitional phase"...

    • @alencoffell4282
      @alencoffell4282 10 лет назад +1

      The religious community swells with pride and sometimes a bit of sinister acknowledgement, when the transitional phase is brought up, they point out with confidence that there are no transitional species found in the fossil record, I disagree having seen the Orca, and a number of other obviously transitional species both extinct and existent. However the fact that we don't find them nearly as often as we would think, is a question isn't it?
      Perhaps we are only learning where to look? We have been digging through and peeling back layers of dubious origin for some time. And the understanding of times outwards flow and inevitable contact with what is, is ever more apparent with our tech than when it's "motivation for observation was needed...." Cause and Effect

      I really don't give a rats ass what happened in the past as far as religio-polito-dominion is concerned, there is knowledge of our material world in that aged tome, wisdom, all the trapping and ceremony might be how to build an ark, I don't know. What I'm saying is that our genetic permutation rate could be regulated by a program that knows genetic code, how ever it also might have ages of elements that pour into the path of the Earth as well. A star is easy to see in space, not so the rock, even less so a sized planetary sea of sand spread over the size of a solar system, time being the factor. I personally think our path was strewn with what ever smashed into the Earth, and over eons it hung around getting in the way. Though that leads back to myth, and means that either some one has thought the things I do before, probably, or there were beings on or in those chuncks, dna at the very least, and I would put a dolloar on it being from another star system, I've never doubted where my flesh comes from.

They would set up a movie screen (this was before video) and we would watch cartoons and other stuff. Well one fated summer they played this...perhaps not the best thing to play to a bunch of little kids. Even worse, after this they had the Laurel and Hardy where they got shot at the end.

    I've always noticed in old Disney cartoons, in stories in such where the good is suposed to lose, thay make the good guy somewhat of bad guy, and the bad guy vice versa.
