OK, now I'm hooked on Olight because of you Sootch. I won one of these, and since, between buying for myself and giving gifts, I have bought SIX of them, and surely will not stop there. What an amazing light to have if something goes bump in the night!
Dude I love you reviews and videos! Realistic, to the point, not too serious, no fluff no bullshit no annoying footage of you getting your rocks off with your opinion or "look at me, aint I cool!" I ordered this Olight to add to my collection and Olight mini. Guys like you and I are a dying breed. ..Honest hard working straight shooters! keep up the great work!
Just got mine in the mail today from Olight. Awesome light. I've been using the SI Baton Mini as my EDC and wanted a bigger one for my BOB/truck bag. Couldn't be happier. Thanks for turning my on to this flashlight, Sootch.
great vid bud!!! this is my go to foot patrol light, i do nightwatch at a full service yacht harbor, and work close with the coast guard and our on-site sheriff marine unit. They were impressed with the warrior!
While I am a big Olight fan and own many of them, I really get tired of the button toward the head. They are difficult to index when grabbing the light in the middle of the night to look at the bear in camp. I prefer tail switch only. Most people agree with me when considering high stress situations. I do like the tail switch going to the strobe on this light.
The one dislike is from Streamlight. Me, I love Olights (my neighbors, not so much -lol!) and am pretty sure I'm funding the entire company's college scholarship fund.
Great Light I have both of the Olight M2R and M2T Warriors with the 18650 batteries. Olight is Kicking the leaving hell out of Surefire and Streamlight in both Lumens, batteries capabilities, Performance, Materials and PRICE!
4:10 "One of the things about a lot of lights is ...... they are almost like a puzzle" I can relate. When I need light RIGHT NOW the only thing worse than a completely dead/unresponsive/flaky flashlight is one with dozens of functions under one button that require a bunch of long/short length presses and cycling through modes which can easily deselect your currently selected mode, so you get strobe instead of bright and have to spend 5-10 seconds cycling through modes while your target gets away. When you need light you need it and you need it reliably. How hard can it be to have a switch that turns ON and OFF only? This is why I like my TK25 for a goto, it has a main tail switch for ON/OFF and a secondary button for modes. I have a Warrior M2T in the shopping cart right now gonna give it a go.
I was really leaning toward the M2R Warrior but after watching this video, it kinda made me really examine the capabilities and limitations between the M2R Warrior and M2T Warrior; it seems like the M2T is more tailored toward “Dual Fuel” capabilities between disposable 123a disposable and 18650 rechargeable batteries. The M2T looses very little functionality when used with disposable 123a batteries, where the M2R completely looses it’s “Turbo Mode” capability and “maxes out” at 700 lumens with 123a batteries and even looses some functionality with it’s tailcap switch. The M2T looses 300 Lumens and maxes out at 900 lumens with 123a batteries.
And one contender that is getting my attention is the Nextorch TA30 2019, rotary switch, tailswitch, crenelated bezel with nanoceramic beads for glass breaking.
Fourth review I have seen on this this week. Looks like Olight sent a bunch of these out to all the channels I subscribe to at the same time. I have one. I like it.
Love the Olights! I have the S1r, S2r, MX1 Striker and now the M2T. Lets face it, we all need different lights for different applications and Olight never disappoints! I do however have only one complaint. That's in the clips I love the two way clips but the other clips with the added indentation 3/4 ways up inside the clip is just too hard to get in the pocket. I wish Olight would address this with stand alone 2 way clip replacements for all their lights! ( I for one would spend the money to replace them on all of my lights) The two way clips, Thumbs way up !!!! Thanks for all your awesome reviews Brother!!
Deal breaker for me is how strobe mode is activated from the tail cap. If you want momentary-on of the Turbo mode, you get it for a couple of seconds. Then the light gives you strobe mode whether you want it or not. So Olight made sure that this model couldn't be used in conjunction with a handgun.
It's pretty awesome but nothing compares to my new Klarus( 2000 lumin) XT11GT. the only thing the Warrior has that is better, is the pocket clip. And at this time the Klarus is on sale for abt $53. It's a steal AND comes w the 18650 battery. Yes the Warrior is great but the Klarus just blows it away. The warrior would be my second choice. Be Blessed brother.
Wesley Bullock thanks. I had no clue. Boys do love their status symbols.like I said, at a better price I might get one but I'm not gonna pay that much just for the NAME. Their 1st iteration was awful. The bevel is hardly warrior-like. But its your money to do what you like. In other words everything is just someone's opinion.
Nice light I have many other olights, but one thing I don't get , its only a 600 lumen light after 3 minutes, you would think that with all this technology they can make a light to last with longer run times. Great review. I'm still considering this or the M2R.
As always, a great review. However, what is the battery life with the various modes of light? Furthermore, I have not had the same success as you've had with Olights. I have had one fail me twice (both times in very cold weather) when I needed it the most. Until I find something better, I'll stick with Streamlights and Surefires. (FYI... the Surefire lights drain their batteries very quickly).
Could you do a comparison video of this model vs the older M2R warrior? I know M2R is more expensive and has rechargeable feature but I want to know your opinion. Great review Sootch!
I am grateful to find your channel, but my bank account isn't... : ) I really enjoy the gear reviews, sensible opinion(s) and the overall conservative perspective(I am a former liberal). I get comments on my Scootch hoodie! Cheers! Keep up the great work.
most flashlights are good up to 3 feet fall. who knows maybe it was beat and banged around enough that fall did it in. maybe it just hit it in the perfect spot to kill it. who knows. cant condemn a company because of that.
I've bought a total of NINE! (9) O-lights in the past month alone! ...all thanks to your 'Flash Sale' videos. (And O-Light knows that YOU are the reason for those purchases, too!) You are 'da man! These lights are great quality and make excellent gifts.
#SensiblePrepper Love them Olights!! Would that bezel really do much in a self defense situation, when compared to the M2R (i think?). Just doesn't really seem like it would do anything.
What do you mean by safe? i mean.. its a flashlight.. you can strobe or turbo your eyes and cause some eye damage or a seizure and such.. and if you drop it on your toe, it'll hurt. So.. generally safe
Woww,it's so american and it's 100% made in China😂 And you missed one of the most important things. Turbo mode for how long? 3min.5min.....or for unlimited period of time?
Like it !! 👍👍👍 Olight is head and shoulders above all the other (and I have others)
Great review, video .... thanks shipmate
God Bless (us all)
Thanks Fred! Olight is the deal.
God Bless

Honestly, one of the best product reviews I've seen... ever. Thank you.

I do need one. Two one for my new tactical bag and the other on my self

Love my M2T Warrior! Bought it during the flash sale.
The one dislike is from Streamlight.

Or surefire

Totally agree, the other's fall to the wayside when you have a quality torch. Best wishes from Northern Ireland.
Thanks for introducing me to Olight a few years ago. I have become a big fan of their products through the years.

Mine arrived a few days ago. I like it so far. Its one of my nightstand lights.
What I like best about olights is the memory. Once I purchased one I was hooked.
Haha! Disturbing your wife's sleep can be a security situation. I love it!
Your reviews are definitely full of great information and that’s a light I will definitely add to my collection - thanks
Fourth review I have seen on this this week. Looks like Olight sent a bunch of these out to all the channels I subscribe to at the same time. I have one. I like it.
I'm sticking with Maglite, Princeton Tec, and Surefire. USA made/assembled lights are the only ones I'm interested in and they're getting better.
Love the Olights! I have the S1r, S2r, MX1 Striker and now the M2T. Lets face it, we all need different lights for different applications and Olight never disappoints! God point. Thanks Radvous

@@AlmightyyCres They recommend Vaseline
I just love Olight. OLIGHT fanboy from Northern Ireland.
Awesome tactical flashlight Sootch00 and long live the republic bro.
I Have several olights. They make great lights. Might have to pick this up. Great video.
Thanks Matt!
Enjoyin my M2T, really a great edc/tactical light. The beam is similar on some surefire flashlights.

“Free Market” RUclips may shut you down for that crazy talk. Love the videos keep them coming.

Never understood the hype for O lights till i bought one. They are very high quality lights.
Nice light indeed i won one in a raffle i highly recommend any olight flashlight...O the sheath is ok mines ripped where the elastic is

I'm all in on Olight!
I'm gonna get both lights the mini and this one very cool lights and super bright thanks for posting them brother.
Thanks Richard! For the Price, you can't get the lumens.
i've been wanting this for a while, but the M2R had a 40 percent flash sale today so i bought that instead lol i love olights

Watch both your channels. Thank You!
Great review. Gonna order one right now! Also got yourself a new sub. Good job
I want one but I wish it didn’t lock out tail switch great review sootch as always
Did i hear you say that you could run RCR123 or 16340 in an M2T?
Can you weapon mount this with a pressure as a cheaper alternative to a surefire
Where can you get flashlights like these in the uk

Please review the M2R Warrior
After my baton fell out if my pocket and broke I am no longer willing to spend money in olight
most flashlights are good up to 3 feet fall. who knows maybe it was beat and banged around enough that fall did it in. maybe it just hit it in the perfect spot to kill it. who knows. cant condemn a company because of that.
Sup sootch!
Hey Brother!
Do you think they will Have a copper Version ?

The beam throw distance is about 195 metres !! 😨

I saw one of those flashlights catch a tent on fire.
Liar
I was leaning towards this flashlight for my job. It's my top pick now thanks to your video. 👍🏻
Discount code is no longer available.
I'd love to see a video on the M2R warrior!
Now that is a flashlight
Yes it is. Thanks Tybo
SensiblePrepper thanks 4 responding
Am I the only one who mounts lights like this to an ar? Reviewers never mention that.
Wish you could charge the battery through the light itself.....
#SensiblePrepper Love them Olights!! Would that bezel really do much in a self defense situation, when compared to the M2R (i think?). Just doesn't really seem like it would do anything.
Hmmm, maybe im thinking of a different one. Do they make an M16 Striker?
That is a one strong flashlight
Yes indeed. Thanks Lan
Olight has terrible customer service. They don’t reply to emails or phone calls.
Sootch or sensible
shalom. LOL :-) yep we don't want to wake the wife it could be National Security great video
Dadgumit Sootch.... dadgumit.... where's my dadgum debit card... Thumb's up u crack dealer of Awesome gear!~John
Would a AA battery work in this thing and is it intrinsically safe?
jreg0028 I don't think it would work
If a generic AA fit , surely our man Sootch00 would inform us
What do you mean by safe?
i mean.. its a flashlight..
you can strobe or turbo your eyes and cause some eye damage or a seizure and such..
and if you drop it on your toe, it'll hurt.
So.. generally safe
Zwordsman I work with natural gas, gas leaks and such. If this flashlight sparks (intrinsic) that wouldn't end well for me.
pelican makes some good Intrinsically safe light options
what do u think of surefire? thank you!
Surefire is top notch. Their comparable 1200 lumen light retails for $179 so they are pricey but good to go. Thanks Tyler
buy a streamlight or a olight surefire are mucho dinero and cust svc lacks.
ratrod diesels i own 2 sirefires they are great lights. the custumer service is great. i own streamlight. olight. fenix. there all great lights
oh yeah
Woww,it's so american and it's 100% made in China😂
And you missed one of the most important things.
Turbo mode for how long?
3min.5min.....or for unlimited period of time?
69 buck not to bad
Plus 10% off : ) Thanks Brother
1200 lumen only for 3 min
