    Every time I watch this video, which I have watched relentlessly for years, I can't hold back my tears. It reminds us that we will all go back to where we came from. GOD bless the men of faith .. The real ones. Amen🙏

    Heavenly...I hope it spreads to parishes worldwide...People love it and it was so hastily disregarded..It IS relevant today..It is Catholic and where more appropriate to hear it at Mass..Everyone should request it from their Priest and restart the movement..

    Still beautiful. This video and the chant sung brought me through stressful times in my early life. Thank you for sharing this so long ago!

    After not even hearing organ anymore it is a welcome companion to the Gregorian Chant...May they both flourish to all parishes..We miss it

    I loved it when my dad sung this with the St. Charles Choir. One of my favorite Pentecostal hymns to be sure.

    This was chanted by the carmelitan martyrs of Compiégne, during french revolution. May we all be inspired by their strenght and blessed by this beautiful chant!

    In the hands of a skilled organist, the organ enhances and accentuates the human voice that is the original instrument of the Gregorian chants and other canticles sung in the church. When the organ dominates instead of accompany the human voice, the "organist" is not but a keyboardist. In this Veni Creator Spritus, the organist perfectly accompanied the voices and enhanced the chant hence it surely invokes the presence of The Creative Spirit. The Organ plays a major role in divine worship.

    Blessed Pentecost to my faithful brethren! Wonderfully sung version of the ancient hymn of the Anniversary of the Church and the Descent of the Holy Spirit unto all those baptized in Christ.

    You know, I figured that after I saw that this piece of chant was from there. I wouldn't be too sad about the lack of +Williamson though because while the priests formed under him were excellent, the priests exiting under Fr. LeRoux testify to the quality of their formation as well. God bless the SSPX, they are a light in the darkness. May the Holy Ghost guide and protect you in discerning your vocation.

    This is one of my favourite Christian hymns ever. I read somewhere many years ago that the tune may once have been used by the Roman army as a march but that their words had been lost...

    1. Veni Creator Spiritus,
    mentes tuorum visita,
    imple superna gratia
    quae tu creasti pectora.
    2. Qui diceris Paraclitus,
    altissimi donum Dei,
    fons vivus, ignis, caritas,
    et spiritalis unctio.
    3. Tu, septiformis munere,
    Dexterae Dei tu digitus,
    Tu rite promissum Patris,
    sermone ditans guttura.
    4. Accende lumen sensibus:
    infunde amorem cordibus:
    infirma nostri corporis
    virtute firmans perpeti.
    5. Hostem repellas longius,
    pacemque dones protinus:
    ductore sic te praevio
    vitemus omne noxium.
    6. Per te sciamus da Patrem,
    noscamus atque Filium;
    Teque utriusque Spiritum
    credamus omni tempore.
    7. Deo Patri sit gloria, et Filio,
    qui a mortuis surrexit,
    ac Paraclito,
    in saeculorum saecula. Amen.
    * * * * *
    1. Come, Holy Spirit, Creator blest,
    and in our souls take up Thy rest;
    come with Thy grace and heavenly aid
    to fill the hearts which Thou has made.
    2. O Comforter, to Thee we cry,
    O heavenly gift of God Most High,
    O fount of life and fire of love,
    and sweet anointing from above.
    3. Thou in Thy sevenfold gifts are known;
    Thou, finger of God's hand we own;
    Thou, promise of the Father,
    Thou Who dost the tongue with power imbue.
    4. Kindle our sense from above,
    and make our hearts overflow with love;
    with patience firm and virtue high
    the weakness of our flesh supply.
    5. Far from us drive the foe we dread,
    and grant us Thy peace instead;
    so shall we not, with Thee for guide,
    turn from the path of life aside.
    6. Oh, may Thy grace on us bestow
    the Father and the Son to know;
    and Thee, through endless times confessed,
    of both the eternal Spirit blest.
    7. Now to the Father and the Son,
    Who rose from death, be glory given,
    with Thou, O Holy Comforter,
    henceforth by all in earth and heaven. Amen.

    I agree totally, I think the Holy Spirit inspired this so much so that it conveys a sense of His sublime peace, joy, tranquility and love.

    Is it still Gregorian if there is an organ accompaniment?
    It still sounds beautiful, it's just obviously not accapella.

    @Plastikmanify this speed is appropriate.
    Non e' troppo veloce, la veloce e' abbastanza nel caso di questa scola Gregoriana, perche' questo inno sarebbe suonato lentissimo senza la forza e la profondita del coro. Benche, se quell'inno e' cantato da solo, questo veloce qui e' troppo.
