Ricordiamoci che lo Spirito agisce ed opera nella storia, è onnipresente e tutti noi dovremmo chiedere il suo aiuto sempre, per qualsiasi decisione, difficoltà e dubbio. " Lo Spirito Santo è emanazione di Dio". Non e´certo. L´emanazione non es un concetto cristiano ma neoplatonico, cioé di Plotino, non del cristianesimo. Lo Spirito Santo é Dio, non una emanazione di Dio.

È abbastanza ridicolo (o triste) che partendo da un canto gregoriano si arrivi alla polemica. Lo spettacolo poco edificante è proprio questo.

I'm a staunch protestant, yet I love the beauty of the music. The fact I am really born again just makes the words of the hymn resonate in my spirit even more. Washed in the blood, filled by the spirit, made into a new creation. It's good to remember the majesty of the old chants. It's a change from all the "slappy happy" praise songs out there. God is majestic.

Yes, beauty must be brought back to the Catholic Church. This is more of worship hymns which is appropriate I find and not music.
Thanks for posting this video. Along with many other conservative Protestants, I love chants like this for lots of reasons, not the least of which is their beauty. The quiet passion they contain helps appreciate the depth of faith which the Apostles and early disciples had, having been so close to His life on Earth.

As a 10 year old in a Catholic Primary school in Athlone, Ireland our class learnt to sing the whole Latin Mass , including Veni Creator Spiritus at some point ......possibly for Benediction after Mass .....I forget !!! But I am so grateful to the La Sainte Union order of nuns (who educated me from age 3 to 17yrs) for organising this important education for us . I've found it comforting all my life .........along with the spirituality that goes with it .
